Wooo hoooooo, Michelle... Good for you on the capris!!! Isn't it a great feeling?? I got the side yard flower beds all cleaned out and finished the trimming. It's 85 out and I need to go take a dip in the pool, do my exercises and then float around for an hour or so. We got a nice bench for Bob's area of the garden. Now to make the platform for it. We're looking at tile for that one. Had cereal and 1/2 banana for breakfast and a sandwich with light chips for lunch. Total so far is 7.5 points. That gives me 13.5 points for supper and snacks. Off to have a WW red velvet cake bar... that's only 1 point and is VERY yummy.

Good morning, Violets.. Well, the Bobster is the big 6-5 today. He had a 3 Musketeer bar for breakfast.. lol Actually he is saving those and having them as a nightly snack, Jane. We are headed out to get some hamburger and buns for tomorrow. I have the potatoes and eggs done for the potato salad. Then off to get two more bushes. He is going to mow the backyard, but it's too wet now and since I didn't get to the side yard yesterday, that's my goal today. Pool time this afternoon. It's supposed to get to 88 today so floating around in the pool sounds just perfect. We got Kris's veggies planted yesterday. Grady was happy to see his other Gramma... me! I'll go back this Thursday to plant some more sugar peas. That way they don't all mature at once and she has a s**t load of peas. (I usually don't say that on Sundays!).:cursing: Off to get dressed and head out. Everyone make it a great day!!!!

Wooo Hooooo....our friend was able to sell two of our tickets for Canada. At least we can recoup some of the loss. BEAUTIFUL day here today. I've been going through old pictures and sorting them out. Now I'm headed to the side yard to get that cleaned out and ready to be spruced up. I forgot I'd need more mulch for that area. It's beyond our fence and I don't remember it's even there. arghhhhhhhh

Good morning, Violets.. Feeling much better this morning. Nathan said it was probably the pain pills that did the number on me. I'm broke too, PamELa.... the Canada trip cost us about $700 and we got nothing out of it. At least you got to spend time with the Violets and witness a beautiful wedding. I gotta tell you though, spending time at home with the Bobster has been very enjoyable. Today I have the WW meeting.. I decided I'm not going to weigh in. I'll weigh in on Wednesdays and go to the meetings on Saturday. Then I head to the college to practice Hallelujah with the guitar and flute player. After Bob gets back from the funeral, we'll head to Kris's to plant the veggie garden. Supposed to be 82 today. Perfect pool weather. Michelle, your patio sounds wonderful. We have a fire pit in the back yard, but don't use it much. Off to find some breakfast and get ready to meet Kris at the WW meeting. Everyone have a great day!

Whatchu talkin' bout, Willis?? Spent the whole afternoon in bed. I took a motion sickness pill and I just had the drive heaves for a bit then slept for 3 hours. I never made it to the book store. After the nap I got up and am feeling fine. Got the mulch 100% done in the front yard. Bob wants some more in his little area in the back yard and then no more mulching this season. Off to watch Grady and then go to Kris's house for dinner.

Back again... I think the pain pills did something to me. I'm feeling kinda woozy this morning. I called Kris and said I wasn't coming out till tomorrow. Don't want to drive 40 minutes feeling like this and then work in a garden. We're going to the book store and then I think I'm going to lay down and try to shake this thing. Maybe I should have stuck with one pill even though it said to take one or two. Heather... yep.. I had a cortisone shot and he sent me to the orthopedic surgeon for an evaluation after the shot wore off in a couple of days. Usually it lasts longer than that. The evaluation is the appt. on Tuesday. Janie!!! Bob got his package in the mail today. There are going to be a LOT of 3 Musketeer bars in the fridge. :biggrin: He's thrilled! That was such a cute idea. He'll send you a thank you in Facebook.. Off to the book store and then I think to bed for a little while.

Good morning, Violets.. Had a rough night last night. Soooo much pain in my knee from mulching and running in the pool. I finally broke down and got up at 3:30 to take not one, but two pain pills. They finally started working at 4:00 and I got to sleep until 8:00. My appointment with the doc is Tuesday. Can't wait to see what he thinks is the next step. Got some pretty neat news in email this morning. Our flute group is playing June 13th at a concert called Flutes and Friends. This is the second annual concert and the first one was amazing with flutes, singing, and other instrumental groups. One of my favorite songs is Hallelujah (I never knew it was from Shrek). I was asked if I would sing it for the concert. Can't wait!!! We're headed to an opening of a new book store in town and then I'm headed to Kris's to plant some veggies. Will be back this afternoon for some pool time before I babysit Grady while Kris goes to Zumba. I got some new WW breakfast foods. It's nice to have choices. Everyone have a great day. Got some beautiful hanging plants and a couple of bushes for Bob to plant tomorrow. I'm going to Kris's to plant a veggie garden there. She has a fenced in area so the deer and other critters don't get into it to eat everything up before we do. Heading to bed to read and then get some zzzzzzs. Sleep well, everyone!

Good evening, Violets.. What a great day in spite of not being able to go on the trip. The owners of the bed and breakfast we have stayed at for the last 5 years were very kind and didn't charge us any cancellation fee. The new bed and breakfast we were going to in Niagra on the Lake is charging us full price for two nights.. sigh...unless they can book the room for those two nights, but it's certainly late notice, so I'm guessing we'll have to eat that money. I sent the tickets along with the other two couples to see if they could do anything with them for us. I'm doubting that too. BUT, it was a great day with Ethan. We mulched the front yard flower beds. I have 1/2 of one bed left to go and then we'll be done with that chore. Bob planted a couple of plants for me and we are going to Home Depot tonight to look at hanging plants and a new bench for my little park in front. Ethan and I got an hour in the pool today. It's so nice and warm. The only thing was the seeds from the trees that are dropping now. I must have netted a gazillion of them out of the pool. I got my exercising in and then lounged for a half hour. He's playing Wii right now while we wait for his mom to pick him up. She gets out of work at 6:30. Everyone have a good evening. Will check in before heading to bed.

Good morning, Violets.. Well, our friends just stopped by to bring Bob a card and some cookies before they headed to Canada without us. sighhhhh I couldn't sleep last night thinking about all the wasted money, but nothing I can do about it. I could have gone, but just didn't want to be away from Bob for the weekend. We are going to go to Traverse City on his birthday and stop by the garden store on the way. Then we'll hit the casino and the mall in TC and have dinner there before heading home. It's a 2 hour drive so it will take up most of the day. Ethan arrived at 7:30 this morning and he's already gone through the Netflix stuff on the tv and has settled in with Wii sports. That will keep him busy for awhile and then it will be pool time. It's supposed to be 78 today. The pool temp yesterday was 90. Should be a little cooler today. I'm working on my tan even though the sun poisoning has started too, as usual. I was disappointed with the American Idol outcome last night. Same as last year and the year Clay Aiken lost. Boy, Rueben Studdard has lost a LOT of weight!! Nothing in the house for breakfast so I'm munching on Veggie Straws. I need to do some shopping. I just figured we would be gone this weekend so didn't stock up on things. I have 6 bags of mulch to spread on the front yard beds today. I put 4 bags in yesterday and will probably need 10 more to finish the job. But once that's done, I'm DONE with mulching!! Back again. I lost 1# so I'm happy. That makes 8.4# this month so far. I also made the decision not to go to Canada without Bob. Sooooooooo that means tickets and B&B costs are swallowed. But... it's only money, right?? I just can't leave him alone on his birthday after all these years. Neither one of us has to work on Sunday so we'll take the day and go do something fun like go to Mackinaw or go to the Casino... yikes... on Sunday!! I put a note on Facebook for anyone who might be going to Stratford... might put an ad in the local paper too. Such is life! Off to have some lunch... sandwich and veggie straws. Yums..

Quick post before WW... The business cards arrived today and they are perfect!!! Can't wait to use them on the Palms trip. The back is blank so we can sign our names... (think autographs). Off to the bank and then to weigh in.. keeping my fingers crossed and my clothes light!

Good morning, Violets.. Well, not good news on the trip. The funeral is Saturday at 2. It's an 8 hour drive for Bob to meet us and Sunday we are just going shopping and driving back Monday. It doesn't make sense for him to drive all that way just for a day. sighhhhhhhhhh He's going to check on things today when he gets to the church. Perhaps the other Presbyterian minister can do the funeral, but I'm doubting Bob will opt for that since he's been with the family all through this and to not be there for the funeral doesn't seem right. I'm going to WW today to weigh in. By my scale I lost the .6, but we shall see when I get dressed and have to go on their scale. Everyone have a great day. Be good to yourselves. Oh heaven's no!! It's happened a lot in his 41 years of ministry.

Just in from swimming with Kris and Grady. Got all my exercising done. The pool temp is 90!!! My heater doesn't have to work overtime to keep the pool warm. The sunshine and the solar panel are doing great job keeping it warm. I watered all my plants in the backyard. The frontyard plants are in the shade so they don't need as much. Well, our Canada plans are a little messed up now. Bob has someone dying and if she dies tonight or tomorrow, then the funeral will be Thursday, Friday or Saturday. We are supposed to leave Thursday morning early. sighhhhhhhh I will still go since we have so much money tied up in tickets and the rooms, but he will drive to meet us hopefully before Sunday. It's all iffy at this point. The typical life of a pastor... I'm finishing my sandwich and my veggie straws and then off to rehearsal. Everyone have a good evening!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Had a good night with Ethan last night. Now I don't see him until a week from Friday. We'll be in Canada Thursday - Monday this week. Jen says its only been a week, but her mom is driving her nuts.. lol That will make her appreciate Joe more. I got some low fat chicken breast, diet bread, and veggie straws for lunch today. I'm going to make a sandwich with chicken, lettuce, no fat mayo and tomato. And that will only be 2 points.. add 38 veggie straws for 3 points and I have a filling WW lunch. wooo hooo. I have weigh in tomorrow before we leave for Canada. Hope to lose that .6 I gained in Texas. I'm off to do some laundry and start packing for this trip. Everyone have a good day. Mae.. hope your cousin is doing better today. What an awful accident!! Good thing his daughter checked on him and had the foresight to call 911 on her way there.

Hey there, Violets.. Just back from swimming. It was awesome. Ethan was jumping off the ladder and enjoying it so much. I got a couple of pictures of him on my phone to send to his daddy. Heather... Grady doesn't say anything except memememe. No mama or dada or another. Some other questions that they asked Kris like does he point at things... nope. She's worried, but I said just chill. She's a great mom and though she feels she should be doing something else, I disagree. We are headed out to dinner tonight and then to their house for birthday cupcakes. She and Grady are coming over tomorrow to swim in the pool. Ethan is spending the night with us tonight. His mom gets out at 7:30, but I don't know what time we will get back from dinner and visiting. It's just easier for him to stay here and have his mom pick him up tomorrow. I too am lost with Lost.. never saw any of it ever. I have enough problems keeping all of the Desperate Housewives straight!! lol

Good afternoon, Violets.. Had an easy shift at the hospital and then went and got Bob's birthday card and wrapping paper. I called Kris and she is in a funk. She's been worried about Grady not talking and asked a friend who works for the ESD for advice. The friend called and wants to set up an appointment to evaluate Grady. So now she thinks there is something wrong. I keep telling her to give it time, Ethan was 3 before he started talking. No making her feel better, though. Cute video on FB, Laura!! Off to head to the pool. Sunscreen this time for sure!!
