Good morning, Violets.. Hope everyone has a relaxing day. Today is my last day of regular choir. No choir next week and the week after that is the season finale we call Gospel Sunday. The choir sings 5 songs plus the ladies and gents each have their own piece to sing, plus I do Amazing Grace with the choir as back up. :thumbup: Then I am done!! Might be forever if the pastor stays. It rained all night last night. The flowerbeds look great, but the lawn sure needs mowing!! I ran out of black lining for the edging around the pool, so I need to pick up some of that today, but don't know if it will be dry enough to use it. Off to get ready for church. Everyone have a great day!

Good evening, Violets.. Back from a great day at the water park. Ethan found a friend and they went down the slides together. We couldn't get him to do it on his own so this other boy was a big help. We had a nice lunch, did some shopping and Ethan was sound asleep alllllll the way home. Unfortunately he was not nice to his mommy when she got him to take him home. He was so exhausted, he just yelled and said he didn't like her and was overall just nasty to her. Bless her heart, she just said, but I still love you... over and over to him. I know it was because he was just exhausted, but I would have felt bad if I was her. Suzy.. glad to have you back!!! I saw on Facebook where your computer was out of commission. Off to make the bed and then read a bit. I too am exhausted!! But the neat part was, I was so comfortable sitting at the water park with my bathing suit and walking around that way. 3 years ago, I would never have had a suit on and I would have been miserable. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well.

The water park is at a hotel in Mackinaw City. It's an hour and a half from here. And yep.. we drive there!

Good morning, Violets.. Had a good time at Kris's yesterday but didn't get anything planted because of the rain. I'm going back on Tuesday to babysit and then do some planting, hopefully. Had a good night with Ethan last night and now we are getting ready to head to Mackinaw and the water park. Should be a fun day. We got almost all the mulching done around the pool and now just the little back section to redo and we'll be able to enjoy the gardens for awhile without having to work each day in them. Off to get dressed and on the road. Everyone have a great day!!

Janie.. I LOVE reading your posts...you are too silly!!!:tt2: I just got word that my surgery is scheduled for July 14th. I have a pre surgery appointment on the 6th for blood work and seeing my ortho doc and then taking a class on what to expect when I get home. I see my family doctor June 30th for the ok for surgery. So I guess it's going to happen. I'm ready cause my knee is bothering me today. Bob put some edging around the pool so that needs to be lined and ...... gasp..... mulched!! I have his area almost done and it looks really great. I'm so pleased I will be able to enjoy the Garden walk and not worry about being in the hospital at that time. Ethan is here and he's helping me outside... kinda. :thumbup: Off to do some more before we head to Kris's.

Heading out to the side yard to work until Ethan arrives and then we head to the back yard and hope to finish up everything today. Then will be heading to Kris's for the afternoon and evening. Must be we are the early morning entertainment! Good morning, Violets.. We watched the Detroit Tigers game last night and are still in shock with the terrible umpire's call that cost Galarraga a perfect game. Ethan's birthday party was so much fun. He was very well behaved and kept saying thank you to all of us. I put some videos on Facebook so his daddy could see him. Today we head to Kris's to plant some more in her garden. Then flute rehearsal tonight. Can't wait to have Ethan here tomorrow for some swimming and reading from the new books he got for his birthday. Kris and I did well with eating for supper and we both had a little sliver of birthday cake. I still was able to use only my 21 points with what I ate yesterday. Didn't even have to dip into my weekly 35! Off to get ready for the day. Michelle, enjoy your day at the pool tomorrow... sounds wonderful!! Everyone have a great day. Be good to yourselves..

Laura.. I was going to ask you who that was in Facebook, but didn't want to look stupid!!:biggrin: I understand your frustration now. Yo Yo sounds like a real YOYO! Off to choir and then to Ethan's birthday party. Going to take lots of pictures and a flip video for Joe. He's missing his little man like crazy and today is especially hard having to miss being with him on his birthday.

Just back from WW weigh in. Drum roll please........................ I've lost 10# since may 3rd!!!!! I couldn't be happier with the program. And now I can't wait to go back to the lapband doc on Monday to show off. :confused: Janie.. my surgery will be right here in Alpena. They have a couple of great physical therapy places here too. Kris is going to come into town and give me my anti-clotting shots after the surgery for 12 days. I couldn't do it myself and the Bobster with a needle in his hand is too scary to think about. She'll be able to use her LPN skills on her mommy. Off to do some work in the backyard. I sure hope I'm not in the hospital when it's time for the Garden Walk!!!!!

None here either!! Wouldn't have missed it!!

PamELa.. I sure would have taken sick days if I knew it was going to affect everything like it did! Are you docked for your sick days too???? Do you get Personal Days and Sick Days at the beginning of each school year? I always got 3 personal and 12 sick. The sick could roll over each year, but we would lose the personal days if we didn't use them. When I retired, part of the severance pay was being paid the daily rate for the sick days you had not used. I got $8,000 for those days alone with a retirement incentive on top of that. It was a great package at that time and made the decision of retiring a little easier. AND we can buy years. I lost 2 years the times I was pregnant and bought them back on a payment plan. Otherwise I couldn't have retired when I did. As for the peeing at night.. I always take one the night before I weigh in. It worked for me when I first got the band and it seems to be working for me now, thank goodness. I usually don't have much trouble falling asleep again, but last night I just had too much on my mind.

Michelle.. ((((hugs)))). We're here for you. Delo.. thanks for the info on the knee surgery... I think!! I didn't sleep well last night thinking of all the ramifications of it all. I've heard lots of horror stories about knee replacements lately, but also lots of people saying they wish they had done it sooner. What is your name in Facebook so I can find the video?? Mine is Judith Grieger Case if you want to find me. I took a water pill last night and was up 4 times and then of course thinking about everything in between. Today is WW weigh in and choir and a birthday party for Ethan who turns 4 today. I'm taking the flip so I can video it and put it on Facebook so Joe can see it. Going to be a hard day for him today missing his son's birthday for the first time. Off to get ready for the day. Everyone have a good one. Will check back after weigh in.

Nope.. no more this summer. Just Ca. in Sept. and Fl. in Nov. Only problem will be rehearsals for a concert in Sept. Not sure how many I will have to miss. Oh well. It needs to be done. I want to be able to walk again without aching or using a cane.

Well, the news is as I expected. Total knee replacement. Will be done after the 20th of June, probably looking at early July. 6 weeks of therapy after that and 12 weeks before I start feeling like I have a normal knee again. Will have to go for a total unfill before the surgery and that scares me. But it's got to be done. Doc said it is bone on bone in the knee. It's too far gone to do anything else but replacement. sighhhhhhhhh the ravages of old age... Off to get a couple of gifts, then some mulching and then pool time. Everyone have a great day. PamELa... count those points!! I just had a great 5 point lunch... 1 slice regular bread, 6 slices deli shaved ham, 1/2 tomato slice, 1 T. Miracle Whip, 1 cup of fresh corn and 10 Lay's light chips. I'm stuffed and still have 15 point left for the day. (didn't have any breakfast today.. my bad).

Good morning, Violets.. Michelle.. so sorry to hear of all the troubles going on. Bob says that happens much more with men than women. Men have a hard time being alone, especially the older ones. My grandfather planned to marry 6 months after my grandmother died to a woman he had been friends with that I had never heard of. We met her once and she was a lovely lady. Unfortunately my grandfather died in surgery 6 months after my grandmother died of ALS, so obviously there was no wedding. I understand what you're going through, and it is tough. We're always here for you to vent if you need to. I'm off to the ortho in an hour to see about my knee. Hope I can get some relief. Everyone have a good day. I'll check back in later.

Good morning, Violets.. Hope everyone has a great day today. We're headed to Kris's for a cook out later today. Bob is going to pick up some bushes today to plant by our pool fence. We decided to do that instead of putting in a whole new fence. He just has to repair the gate on the fence that's there now. Much easier... Off to find some breakfast and get busy making potato salad for this afternoon. Everyone enjoy!!!
