  1. Is there a way to get the editing feature back??? When I try to edit now, all I get are smilies with letters inbetween. Cute, but not what I need!!! I'm kinda particular about my posts and when something gets by me and I want to fix it, but can't, I get frustrated!!!:cry

    Port Huron Lap Banders??

Yep.. I am. Nothing lost in about a week. Not going to let it get me down though. I'm sticking to the diet plan exactly like Joyce told me and I'll trust that things will start happening once I get some other foods in there. Seems like when I look at other tickers it's about the same thing. I was told this wasn't the time to lose weight.. it was the time to heal. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!! But I am longing for another charm for my bracelet.. Just two more pounds and I get one..
  4. My two babies.. Chippy and Kirby. Course I have two cats too.. Kaylie and Carlie..

    Port Huron Lap Banders??

Yoplait Lite Thick and Creamy has no pieces of fruit in it. And the Lite and Fit Yoplait that I use has only little pieces of fruit. I'm sure you could get away with picking them out. There are not that many. And yes, yogurt is allowed for 4 weeks through the clear and all liquid phases. Joyce the nutritionist said that's where you get your protein for the month. Either that or skim milk and I much prefer the yogurt. I start the all liquid stage tomorrow!! :clap2: Can't wait for those creamy soups!! A little treat for the clear liquid phase.. I put lo fat whipped cream on my sf jello. Sure makes a difference!

Need Help & Feedback im sick

Peggy.. your post caught my eye when I saw your screen name as I have a grandson named Ethan. I'm so sorry to hear about all of your problems. I'm go glad you got in and at least got things taken care of so you can heal and get healthy again. With your DH being banded too, it should help as he can support you and be with you on your eating without the band in place. Know that you are in my prayers and I hope all is resolved very soon. Take care. Judy

I had a problem with constipation before surgery. My doc recommended Fiber Sure twice a day and it works!! I hadn't been taking it after surgery cause I wasn't having any problem getting rid of the barium. But after that... nuttin. I called the nurse and she said to let her know if I hadn't gone by Monday. I started putting the Fiber Sure into my yogurt and sure enough after a day, it worked. Aren't we thrilled with life's little pleasures??
  17. Best bet is to put a call into your doctor. I doubt that it would be that easy to pull away from the stitches, but I'm not a doctor. Hope everything is ok.

    About to be banded- YIKES!

Welcome to the site, Meltini. You're going to love it here. There is lots of advice and support. Just remember your BEST source of information is your doctor and your nutritionist, but the people on here have lots of little tips and suggestions to add to that. Each one of our Pre-op and post-op diets are different depending on what the doctor recommends. Keep that in mind. What your doctor says might be totally different than anything anybody on here has done. But we're all working toward the same goal and the band is the tool that will help us reach that goal. Again.. WELCOME!!!

Shrinking Violets -- April 07 Bandsters

My first fill won't be until 8 week post op so that puts it at June 5. Hopefully I can hold out til then. I really have been doing well. No cheats and following the diet by the book. I wrote in my journal today that I'm not weighing in again until Tuesday so we'll see if I can stick to that! Tomorrow night we are going out for a family birthday. My son's 29th birthday was Wednesday and my daughter's 25th was Thursday. (I know, I know, I'm OLD!!) We're going to Applebees and I figure I can have a fruit smoothie.. shouldn't be too bad, right?? And I'm positive I won't be able to finish it. If they have a brothy soup I'll have that, but usually their soups are creamy ones and I'll be three days away from allowing that in my diet.
