Afternoon Violets.. Got my shift done. They gave me a gift card to Applebees... neato!! The Bobster and I usually split the fahitas when we go there. The card will more than pay for our dinner! Terry... where are you??? I need info on that ebay snagging thingy you talked about before that helped me get our boat last time. We are looking at Pistons tickets and want to snag them with that program, but I can't remember what it was!!! HELP!!! I have 3 hours left!! I just love getting the mail these days.. so many cards from the lovely Violets!! I had 1/4 cup tuna salad this morning for breakfast and ended up sharing it with the cats. I've been satisfied until now when my stomach is growling. I'm waiting for the Bobster to get home so we can eat lunch together. He was able to throw down all his pills this morning. I don't understand how he can have 8c of fill and still swallow a handful of pills at one time. Doesn't make sense!! He had to eat slower at breakfast so he knows there is some restriction there.

Good Morning, Violets.. The hot tub was great last night.. really relaxing after I do my toning exercises. Denise... your DD is BEAUTIFUL!! I got to see a 3D ultrasound pic from a friend of my daughter and they are amazing! So different than the ones we used to get. BTW.. please send preggers vibes to my DD. They have been trying to get pregnant for several months now. Yikes, Jennifur!!! .75 in your band is like nuthin'! My first fill way back in May was 1cc. TracyK... the Bobster has lost 45# and has been stuck there for a long time. Hopefully yesterday's fill will be the one for him. I felt a little trouble getting my pills down this morning. Will see what happens at breakfast. I'm always tight in the morning anyway. I'm going to go get ready to do my volunteer shift. Will check back later. Everyone have a great day!!

Evening, Violets... It was a successful trip. I slept most of the way there, the Bobster got a .5 fill so he's up to 8 in his 10cc band. I got .3 so I'm at 2.8 in my 4cc band. He lost 1# and I lost 3#, but that was for 2 months. So we have a new resolve and are motivated again to get this thing done!! I had a few spoonfuls of soup for supper and he had some chili... was supposed to be liquids for 12 hours, but he wasn't following the rules exactly. He chewed well though and only had a cup full. I stopped at Fashion Bug and got 2 pairs of cords size 14 and a couple of sweaters XL. All in all it was a great trip. I'm pooped. Going to finish watching CSI:Miami and then hit the hot tub. Hospital volunteer shift tomorrow and rehearsal in the evening for my singing group. The rest of the day we are putting the elliptical together. Keep us in your prayers!!!! Gooooooooooooood morning, Violets. We're off in about an hour to get our fills. I coudn't sleep last night... I'm sure it was all the stress from the two performances. The last time I checked the clock it was 3 a.m. and I'm up at 6. This is going to be a looooong day. At least I can sleep on the way down if the Bobster doesn't mind my snoring. I'm going to stop at Fashion Bug on the way home and see if I can get some cords in a 14. The 16's are stretch and are getting baggy. It will be fun trying things on, at least! Wooooooooo Hooooooooooooo!! Concert is done!! Everything went well and now no more Monday night rehearsals!!! I told the director tonight that I couldn't be in the spring concert cause I'm gonna be with my Violet Sistas!!! He was not pleased, but that's the breaks!!! I'm going to get out of my black outfit and hit the hot tub. I was told numerous times tonight how nice I looked. I had to stand in front of the chorus as I played flute with a couple of songs and I was sooooooooo relaxed cause I knew I didn't look like I did a year ago at the concert! It was a great NSV this evening!! Now onward to a fill tomorrow and -3# by Christmas!!! Everyone sleep well! Patience, Trust, Purple Power and WWJD??!!

Obviously I'm up from my nap. The Bobster broke a belt on the snowblower and our neighbor is going to fix it for us tomorrow while we're getting our fills. The Bobster is determined to get there tomorrow cause he knows he really needs a fill so we'll take the 4 Wheel drive truck and hit the roads at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Our appointment is at 1:45. We'll turn around and come home right afterwards. I'm going to ask for just a small fill and hope that's all I need. I really think it will be. I do really great until evening and then it's only head hunger that tempts me. I try not to give in, but sometimes it gets the better of me. Maybe a tiny fill will help me feel full longer. I HAVE to lose those 3# by Christmas!! I've promised myself that! I'm off to get dressed for the concert. Everyone have a good evening and I'll check back in before I head to bed. TTFN.......

Tracy... my first goal will be to get to 150# and that would be -83#. However, I would love to be able to say I lost 100# so I will reevaluate when I get to the 150 and see what I look and feel like. I don't think133# is an unreasonable goal for me at my height. But again, we'll see when I get closer to it. I'm going to go take a little nap now before the concert tonight. I'm loving the fact that I don't have to go racing around trying to find one outfit that fits me.. I have choices now!!!

Afternoon, Violets!! Well, the pageant is history and I gotta tell you it was one of the best ever. The choir all made it there and they just amazed me with their singing today. There were some tough songs in there and they just made me proud. I sang "Mary, Did You Know?" as the liturgical dancers did their dance and it was just gorgeous. These are kids from 10 - 15 and they looked so professional. So beautiful! We had one shepherd and one horse that didn't make it in and one of the angels puked before going on, but that's all the fun parts of kids and pageants!! lol Attached is a picture out my patio door this afternoon. Here's a pic of me in my new shirt. I'm looking at the pants and they look kinda baggy on me, but I have to have size 16 right now cause of my belly. That's the trouble area for sure. Suzi.. the angel charms are for my Pandora bracelet. I have an angel charm for every 10# lost. Plus I have one special charm for 25#, 50# and hopefully one day 75# and 100#... when I get to goal I will get a gold angel charm. They just came out with the gold this year. I'll add a picture of the angel charm.

Weather report says 3-7 more inches of snow today with blizzard conditions.. yikes!! Several churches have cancelled their services this morning, but they are the ones out in the country. I just hope enough of my choir members can make it in today! I had a problem at K-Mart last night. But it's a nice problem. I looked at a pretty Christmas sweatshirt in the Misses section and it was an XL. I held it up and said to mysef.. this will be tight, it won't fit now, but will later and it's half off. Soooo I bought it, brought it home, tried it on and it fit with plenty of room. I just can't seem to wrap my brain around the fact that I can wear normal sizes now. I look at something and it looks so small compared to what I was used to for years and years. So I'm dressed in my new Christmas shirt, green corduroys size 16 and my snazzy green and red striped socks. Wish me luck at the pageant.. heck, wish me luck just getting to church this morning!! TTFN....

Goooooooooooood morning, Violets!! Well, the Bobster is out snowblowing the drive so we can get to church today. We got a whole boatload of snow last night. Must be another 5 inches at least on top of the 6 or 8 we already had. Hope everyone makes it in for the pageant today. The organist called me last night and wanted to know what Plan B was. Nice picture, Denise!!! I love your outfit! Tomorrow we are supposed to go downstate 4 hours for our fill. I sure hope the roads are good cause the Bobster really needs one. I'm just going to ask for a teensy one to tide me over into the new year. I lost a pound this week and only 3 more to go for another angel charm. I want that really bad for Christmas. Now that the fudge is packed in boxes, I don't have to be sampling it to see if it's edible! And as soon as we get the elliptical put together, I'll be running my fanny off on that. I'm loving the glider, but will be glad to get it out of the bedroom into the "gym". Got to go get ready for church. Everyone have a great day!!! TTFN.......

Evening, Violets.. Pageant rehearsal went great this morning. When we came home I got all the fudge boxed up. 18 boxes worth and sent the leftovers home with Joe. I got plane tickets today for a visit to some friends in Florida in January. Total cost was $125 for 2 round trip tickets. Can't beat that!! Spirit had a special and we jumped at it. It's really snowing right now and hope it doesn't get too bad before tomorrow morning. We are supposed to get hit tomorrow afternoon with 7-14 inches of snow. Don't think it will delay the pageant, but our Community Chorus concert in the evening might be in jeopardy. The hot tub was a little too warm for me tonight.. 105! I got in, but it was uncomfortable for a little while. I knocked it down to 103. I felt like a snowwoman out there. When any skin was out of the water the snow flakes were hitting it and it felt like tiny ice cubes!! Soooooooo I stayed way down up to my neck and enjoyed watching the flakes come down. Jenn.. Good morning, Violets. 10 degrees here right now.. brrrrrrrrrrr I'm up and showered and getting ready to have some yogurt before I head to church for the big Pageant rehearsal. The kids and choir and dancers will be there and we have to get it all coordinated. I got 6 gift boxes of fudge made up last night. 13 more today and I'm done!! The movie Enchanted was cute last night. Even the Bobster said it was good for a no brainer. He and Joe are going to get the beds out of the guest room finally today and then we can start assembling the elliptical. I wonder what happened to my glittery Shrink'n Violet part of my signature?? It shows that it is still there when I go to edit. But in the preview it isn't. hmmmmmmm Better get ready and let Jetta out.. I'm gonna freeze out there for sure!!! Everyone have a great day. Laura... face it. I'm not an enabler. NO fudge for you....... or me.........!! It's ALL done now and cooling in the fridge. Tomorrow after pageant rehearsal I'll start packing it up. I got some cute little boxes at Walmart that will be just perfect for about 4 pieces of each flavor. The last couple of years I have given away the cookies in a jar and soup in a jar. I thought I'd try something different this year. Next year I think I'll do the baking like Michelle.. maybe banana nut bread. Or mini carrot cake loaves. hmmmmmmmmm Too many food thoughts going through my brain. Must stop. Must stop!! We're headed out to see Enchanted and then out to dinner with Kristin. FUDGE UPDATE....The peanut butter fudge turned out perfect. The other two are not creamy enough. I sent the batch of peppermint home with Joe when he came to get Ethan. We are going to start over and see if we can get it better before giving it out for gifts. Stay tuned for further updates. Pictures at 11.

Nope.. not silly at all. I am so much more conscious and critical even, of severly overweight people. I know I shouldn't be, cause I was one of them just a short while ago. Mostly I think... they could really use the band. DD gets annoyed with me when I whisper "lapband" to her when we see someone who needs it. And as for the perks of being hit on.. lol Wellllllll I've been online for years and years and have made some really neat friendships with guys who I am sure would never give me a second thought in real life. Meeting people in chat rooms gave me so much confidence. I'm basically a very shy person believe it or not!! But I HAVE changed since the introduction of the computer in my life. I have gone on my own to visit people I've met online and now I have the video program ISPQ and talk and see people all over the world. And now that confidence is spilling over into real life with my weight loss. I no longer am content to be quiet in the corner anymore. I enjoy the company of others and welcome hugs knowing people can get their arms around me now!! I found a picture of the Bobster and I from 2003 when we were in Disney World and the change is just amazing. I am soooooooooooooooooooo happy WE got this band. It has changed our lives. Kat.. got your card in the mail today. The letter was awesome. Thanks from one of yer Violet Sistas!!! TracyinKS.. did you realize a year ago that when you started this thread, it would become so popular and we would all become so close?? I just can't wait for MAY and our get together!!!!!!! Peanut butter fudge is made and looks to be the best of the three. Yes, I sampled, but just tastes.. not even a whole piece. yummy, yummy and I don't need anymore! Had my turkey and red pepper for lunch and I'm good to go til my Crystal Light in an hour. We're going to try to go see Enchanted tonight. That is if Ethan's dad gets here on time to pick him up. He's watching me now as I type this. He loves looking at the computer. Wonder where he gets that?? hmmmmm Better go read him the Foot Book for the gazillioneth time. TTFN!!

Chocolate peppermint fudge is made. Don't you just love the minute by minute updates??? Peanut butter is next.. but we're taking a break now cause the Bobster's wrist is tired.. sheeeeeeesh

Ok.. one batch of milk chocolate fudge with nuts is made. The Bobster has taken control of the fudge making.. won't even let me stir!! He's on to the peppermint fudge now. Maybe I'll get to make the peanut butter batch if I'm lucky!!

Good Morning, Violets.. Ethan has arrived for the day so I'll be running after him. He's in Grandpa's lap right now watching tv so I have a minute to post. Terry... don't you love it when the post you've been working on disappears??? I just have to get up and walk away or I'd be beating on the computer. The necklace is just beautiful!!!!! You are definitely an artist!! I'm being extra careful with my bracelet now. I take it off at night and whenever I'm in the water cause I don't want this one to break!!! You can see it in my christmas pics. Tracy and Laura.. you both look like SHRINK'N Violets for sure! Just think of the pics of you when you started this journey and you have some so far!! Woooo Hooooo!! Is everyone envious of Cindy on her cruise in the Bahamas now. sighhhhhhhh But I get to plan another cruise with my daughter!! She graduates from the nursing program in May and we're going to go cruising in June! Kat... Elliptical is still in pieces and will be until Saturday. Good Morning, Violets.. Ethan is in his "cage" as we call it.. just the crib we have downstairs to contain him when it's naptime. He's amusing himself right now fighting off the inevitable. lol Cindy... have a wonderful cruise!!!! Jennifer... loads of purple power vibes being sent your way. Hope today is a better day for you. Terry... the same purple power vibes are on their way to you too. TracyK.. my alltime favorite NSV is being able to cross my legs at will withouth having to lift one over the other. And when I cross my legs sitting in a church pew, my top leg doesn't push up against the back of the pew. Now that's a "heavenly" feeling!! Also being able to wear pants that don't have an elastic waist is a great feeling. Also being out of plus size clothes. Oh, the list goes on an on!! Pamela.. TGIF today for you!! Plus Suzanne will be there. Doesn't get much better!! Tomorrow is fudge making day. Got to get all of it done so I can hand it out to the dog groomer, hair dresser, nail tech and church staff. Lots o' fudge for them.. zippo for me and the bobster..... I HOPE! Going in for a little fill Monday so have to be good. I want the scale there to be kind to me. Well Violets.. the good news is.... the Nordic Track Elliptical is HERE. The bad news is..........it came in about 60 gazillion pieces! At least it wasn't too hard taking it upstairs.. a couple of pieces at a time since the package was 205# total. Now the teamwork begins when the Bobster and I get ready to put it together. I do the reading, he does the manual labor. Hopefully it will be together by the new year!! Ethan just left and now I'm off to sing for the liturgical dancers rehearsal at 4:30 and then choir at 6.
