We've never had any problems with people drinking too much on cruises. Because of the cost of your cruise, you might have had more of the younger, drinking crowd maybe. Bob seems to think that anyway. Good luck with your handbells tomorrow! My choir sings in the morning and then I don't see them again until the 9th of January. I go to Bob's church for Christmas Eve with the kids and grandkids that live nearby. That's been our deal since he is pastoring a different church than the one I direct the choir at. It's 39 degrees here now. perfect hot tubbing weather. But we are under a winter storm watch for tomorrow afternoon to Monday morning with 3-8 inches more snow and some freezing rain. Hope the roads aren't bad for Christmas eve! I'm off to Walmart to get a birthday card and some Vernons for punch for Christmas eve. I'll be sticking with my Crystal Light though. Hey all.. I'm back from the support group meeting. Just me and another girl this time, but it was worth it. She said she really needs this time to talk and I'm thrilled I could be there to listen! I brought my two books and she took them to read, plus I had copies of all the things I had gotten when we went to our appointment last week. Lots of helpful hints. Our next meeting is Jan. 12. She said the only committments she keeps are her Sunday pool time and lap band support group time. How kewl! She and I are the same as just about eveyone else banded.. it's that time of year when all the temptations are around and we can't help but indulge. BUT... the difference is we indulge.. we don't pig out! Right?? RIGHT??? Jennifer.. I hope you get your fill.. and hope they do right by you!! Laura... how is your sister today?? Congrats on your shop. I still can't wrap my brain around the concept.. but then again, I'm an old fart!! Pamela... JUST SIT!! DO It!! HEAR ME???

Good Morning, Violets! Ethan is here and hunkered down watching cartoons so I have a couple of minutes to spend on here. Just had a call from someone wanting to join the support group. I don't think there will be many there today due to all the Holiday stuff, but it looks like we're going to have a nice little group come January. Tracy.. be very careful driving today!!! jane.. fingers crossed that your SS gift gets where it's going today. I've never been on the Soverign, but I can tell you the rooms on the other ships are more than adequate! Did you have an inside, oceanview or balcony room?? glad you enjoyed it. 63 days til our next one!! Terry... I'm really feeling the fill I got on Monday.. but of course fudge and ribbon candy go right through with no problems. I decided today would be a no candy at all day. I think if I take my WWJD bracelet and wrap it around my neck, I should be ok!!Well, time to get my teeth brushed and head to the meeting. I'll check back later..TTFN....

Denise.. Blake is looking mighty fine!! Congrats, Grandma!!! Suzie.. are you getting your water in every day?? 8 glasses?? I had terrible constipation after I got the band. Course I had it before too. My doc recommended Bene-fiber. I used that for awhile and after I started getting my water in each day, I started to be very regular. I haven't had to use anything in months. I did use senacot pills when things got really bad. I just got in from the hot tub. It's 35 out so it feels really nice getting out of the tub. At least I'm not freezing trying to get my towel and robe on. Ethan comes over tomorrow for the day so I need to head to bed and store up on some energy. My lap band support group meets tomorrow too. fudge problem solved... I put all the left overs on a big tray and it goes to church with Bob on Sunday for fellowship hour. He's going to put a big sign on it sayin... "Bob's Fudge" They'll eat it just to humor the pastor.. lol

Or some non-allergenic, nut free fudge......:biggrin1:

Good Morning, Violets.. Just let Jetta out and then got all the fudge boxed up to be delivered today. Glad that task is done. Unfortunately after we filled all the boxes, buckets and bags, we still have fudge left over and I'm not a fudge eater, but the Bobster LOVES it... so I told him to buy some more boxes and I'll invent people to give it to!! Can't have those huge hunks of fudge sitting in the kitchen. Dinner at our friends was good. She made 4 cheese beef tetrazzini. It was very good and I ate a cup of it veryyyyyyyyyy slowly. She had a salad to go with it and I had a little of that. Blew it on dessert though.. she made chocolate cherry cake with chocolate frosting. I should have just said no thanks, but I ate the piece she gave me and I felt uncomfortable afterwards.. got the shivers and felt stuffed. Haven't had that feeling in a long time. I'll have to be more WWJD next time and say no thanks or ask for just the tiniest piece. Got my new coat yesterday. Size 16. The one I was wearing was an 18W and I had taken the lining out because it was too tight with it in. Now I swim in it. But it gets tossed today and the new one will be great for this year. And I can cinch it in for next year too, hopefully. Jennifer.........I just don't understand why they wouldn't give you a fill. The more I hear about your problems, the more I know I love my doctor and his staff. They are so understanding and personable. Wish you could find that in your doctor and staff. Pamela.. hope you are feeling better each day. I know how difficult it is being off these last days before christmas. I have complete sympathy for the sub!! But that's why you have sick days and you sure do need to be taking care of yourself. I was talking with the Bobster yesterday about New Year's Resolutions. It seems that every other year it has always been.. "to lose weight". I said this year will be different. We don't have to make that resolution cause we've been doing it since April. Soooooooo this year it will be "to exercise more and make wise choices". Our priorities have changed so much these last 8 months.. (except for the fudge:mad:). Well, I better get my breakfast fixed and get myself dressed for the day. Everyone have a good one!! TTFN.......

Oh Tracy... I'm so sorry. Were you told you weren't getting one??? Maybe tomorrow??????? And the fudge saga continues. We got two batches made.. chocolate and mint and went to make the peanut butter and found out I bought peanut butter minis with the hard shell covering instead of peanut butter chips. Arghhhhhhh Soooooooo after we go out to eat at our friend's house we have to stop at Walmart and get the right stuff so we can make the last batch tonight. No time right now as we are supposed to leave here at 5:30. Lunch was interesting and cheap!! We went to the chinese restaurant in town and ordered one meal. The Bobster had the soup and we each had a spring roll and split the main meal. Our new rule is... whenever we go out we split a meal and we take turns choosing. He chose last night so I got to choose at lunch today. And the one not choosing cannot make a face or pout when the meal is ordered.. lol Todays meal cost $10 total. We've certainly become cheap dates! He says he can feel a real difference after this last fill. I know I can only eat pea size bites and have to wait in between. He said he has been forced to slow way down and thats a good thing! Well, got to get on the road. Hope everyone has a good evening. We're going to watch the finale of the Clash of the Choirs. I'm back again! Church service went very well. Now it's on to Penneys to see if I can find a long coat. My one from last year... the last 5 years actually, doesn't fit anymore. I have cinched it in as much as possible and still I'm swimming in it.. woooo hooo NSV!! We're also going to get some more ingredients to make more fudge... can you believe we forgot several people.. arghhhhhhhh Sooooooo we'll be cookin' again today. More temptation.. but I think I can handle it with this fill. Catch everyone later.. Cindy.....5# is normal.. and will come off much easier with the band than without! Good morning, Violets!! Just got finished reading all the posts and getting my blueberries out to thaw for breakfast. Have to be at the church in an hour, but after that I'm done for the day with committments. We're going out tonight to friends for dinner. My restriction is really good. I hope she doesn't have something I can't get down. Last night we went out to eat after choir like always. I had ribs and onion straws. I ate very, very slowly and things still got stuck. The bathroom in this restaurant is wayyyyyyy down the hall as it's part of a hotel. I barely made it to the toilet before I PB'd what I ate. Soooooooooo that finished that meal. I'm anxious to weigh in on Sunday to see if I get another angel. Haydee.... GIRL.. you can DEFINITELY see the difference!!! What a figure you're gonna have! I'm jealous!! Jennifer...(((hugs)))to you always. Where the heck are your water pills if you are retaining that much??? And don't let that doctor intimidate you!! Be Purple and Proud!!! Pamela...hope you are doing better! I know how hectic school is this time of year. I can't imagine teaching and feeling like crap...well, yes, I can.. I did it a few times myself, so I can certainly sympathize. Suzie.. my daughter used to work for Curves... she loved it. But it got to be too much with her schooling so she had to quit after a year. But it's a great job! Mazie... prayers to your mom and thank God the problem was found before the surgery! In from the hot tub. Long day today, but fun with Ethan here. Choir rehearsal was good tonight. I watched Clash of the Choirs for the first time tonight. I assigned members of my choir to be in charge of choreography, costuming and publicity. Somehow I can't see us on that show! Tomorrow is our Christmas chapel service. It's a short service for those older people who can't make it to church every Sunday. I'm singing so have to be there a little early to rehearse. Then we are going to string more lights on the outside bushes and I am going to wrap the Bobster's presents. Then I'm DONE with Christmas prep stuff! wooooooooo hooooooooooo! DH and I drive 4 hours one way to get to Port Huron each month. Love all the staff there and Dr. Bhesania is wonderful!!

Back again. Ethan is wandering around and playing with his little toy dog that sings. He pushes the button over and over and over again and dances while the dog sings Head and Shoulders, Knees and Toes. Over and over and over and over and.... well, you get the idea. Cindy... are you back and recovered from your cruise yet?? I'm anxious to hear how you liked it! Just 2 more months til we go on our next one! Thanks for the update on Terry, Kat. I'll be kinda glad when the holidays are over and we can all get back in here and post like we used to! Has anyone heard from Sara or Lunasa???? Or Ms. Jenn... ?? I'm wearing my size 14 cords today. I can't even remember the last time I wore a Misses 14!!! So now I have 3 pairs of cords LaBlues, size 16 if anyone could use them, I'd be happy to mail them out! They are stretch and only a month and a half old. Just let me know if you're interested! Remember, even if you're not that size now, you WILL be one day!!! Back to laundry and singing with Ethan. Good Moring, Violets. I'm up waiting for Ethan to arrive. We are under a winter weather advisory for freezing drizzle this morning. These are the days when I am sooooooooo glad I am retired from teaching. I used to drive 62 miles each way to work and in the winter thre were lots of times when I just held my breath! There were days when we got all the way there (I was in a car pool with 2 others) and school would be closed... GRRRRRRRRRRR.. That was in the days before cell phones. Janie.. I got a card from you!! Haven't been able to get much down today. Unfortunately the Bobster isn't as tight as he had hoped. I think it will be a couple more fills before he finds his sweet spot. I think I am at mine now for a bit. Can't eat much and am not hungry between meals. DSIL got tickets for the Pistons on the 31st. I lost the ebay auction, but the tickets DSIL got are even better and cheaper so it all worked out. Just got in from the hot tub. I know, you're probably tired of hearing that!! Our dogs got groomed today so they are looking spiffy for Christmas. I have Ethan tomorrow and choir in the evening. We have our lapband support group on Saturday. I know it's a busy time, but we didn't want to put it off. I'm going to take my two lapband books in case someone wants to read them.
