Yikes, Michelle!1 You got me to thinking! I only have 8 weeks until my 1 year bandiversary and I have 20# to go. At 2# a week I won't make it!! BUT....I'll be darn close and about 13 weeks til our Bandiversary Bash...yeah.. I can make my first goal by then! wooo hooooo! Let's do it!! And I too have those lovely arms that no matter how much I exercise them, they still look like bat wings. But they look a LOT better now than they did when I started so I'm not going to complain. I even am comfortable wearing sleeveless stuff and I never ever did that prior to banding. The swimsuit in the after pics is not my favorite, but I had to wear it cause my favorite is packed away for the cruise. Suffice it to say we will be taking tons o' pics on the cruise this time!

I take monthly pictures of myself. Here's the latest 10 months out. I can't wait to sit by the pool on our cruise in two weeks. No more hiding behind a cover up and hoping nobody was looking.

I had my monthly pictures taken last night. I sure can see progress!! I now have a neck and shoulders!

Good Morning, Terry and all the other Violets... I hate to tell ya, but I was going by my weatherbug on the computer and had not refreshed it. When I did, it said -2 so that's why all my nose hairs froze!! This morning it was chilly in the house when I woke up and it was set for the normal 66 degrees at night. Wellllllllll when I looked at weatherbug, it said -10 degrees!!!! Wind chill is -21 soooooooooo no ice fishing today. That's too darn cold! We are under a winter storm watch for tomorrow and Monday.. lots of snow and freezing rain expected. We'll see if it actually comes. Winter starts here in November and lasts until about April. I have seen snow in every month but one here in Northern Michigan. There were flurries at a 4th of July parade once! There is a saying that Michigan has 9 month of good skiing and 3 months of bad. But I do love the snow and the north. Now will I say that 10 years from now??? Not so sure. But cruising gets me away to warmer climates and I'm happy with that. We do get some warm days in the summer. Enough so that I can be in the swimming pool from late May to early September with our solar heater. Ethan comes over today. Just got a call from DS Joe and the Bobster has to go over and pick him up. I'm warming the car up now. Thank goodness for remote starters! Everyone have a great day!

90 days til the Violet's Bandiversary Bash!!

Just in from the hot tub and my nose hairs are frozen, not to mention the hair on my head!! It's 3 degrees out there.. :biggrin: Sure felt good on my back though. Ethan comes in the morning so I need to head to bed and get my Grammy sleep! We're thinking of going ice fishing with DD and DSIL after Ethan goes home. Got to be warmer than 3 degrees for me to even think about that, though! Everyone sleep well. Catch you in the morning!!

Terry.. we are going to the Eastern Caribbean.. Leaving out of Ft. Lauderdale, then to San Juan, Charlotte Amalie (St. Thomas), Casa De Campo (Dominican Rep.) and Labadee (Haiti). It darn well better be warm!!!

Good evening, Violets. Sure is quiet in here today. Laura...glad to have you back... loved the pics!! Did anyone question why you were taking a picture of your legs?? :eek: Terry..hugs and prayers to you and your mom. I went through it with my dad and it's really tough being the "parent" instead of the "child". Suzie... did you get any shoes?? I started packing for our cruise. It's so much fun now sorting through and choosing for style instead of for size. I will be re-evaluating everything for a week now to see if I really need it for the trip or whether I can leave it home and have more room in the suitcase. It's a week long project! The Bobster and I are going out for a fish fry tonight. We usually split a meal, but we'll have to see how much fish is in one. I don't need the other stuff, but I'm really hungry for fish tonight. TracyinKS...glad you're feeling better. Now we have to have everyone stay that way so we don't have anyone dropping out of the bash!! Off to eat fish. Will check back later tonight.

Evening, Violets... Hope you all had a nice Valentine's Day. Denise, I sent you an e-card, but it bounced back. Sorry bout that! I'm headed not to the hot tub outside, but to the hot bathtub inside. It's snowing and blowing out so that ends the hopes of relaxing in the hot tub for tonight. But the good news is I never would have thought to get into the bathtub to soak. I've only taken showers for years and years cause I couldn't fit in the tub and couldn't get out if I ever did get in. Sooooooooo I'll bid you all good night and I'll check in tomorrow.

Afternoon, Violets.. Ethan is sleeping and his mom is coming to pick him up in a half hour so I have a few minutes to post. The Bobster got me a beautiful Willow Tree angel called "Together" and a silver charm with a gold heart in it for my bracelet for Valentine's Day. That guy is a keeper. I'm making him pineapple glazed spareribs for supper so that should make him happy and then there's always the hot tub tonight. :mad::wink_smile: We have a church meeting at 7 and then can kick back and relax after that. Tomorrow he takes his truck in to get his XR radio built in. Then I get the portable one that he has now. I work at the hospital and then I think we'll go see Fool's Gold in the evening. We also need to start packing for our cruise on the 24th. Doesn't seem possible that that is almost here already! Suzie.. the hot tub is here for you anytime you want. Well, maybe not tonight.... la la la la la Gotta go start the ribs. Everyone have a good afternoon! TTFN...

Michelle.. so glad to have you back safe and sound and it sounds like your trip was everything you wanted it to be.. except for the car battery and the ice storm. What a wonderful memory for all of you. Can't wait to see pics! Well, I didn't make my mini-goal for today, but that's ok. Maybe tomorrow. I'm kinda hanging in at 170, but at least it's not bouncing up and back. I'll keep on exercising and making healthy food choices and it will happen. Denise, I've only owned one house in my life because we always lived in parsonages. I'll never, ever have a brand new home in my lifetime. Good Morning, Violets. Denise the pics are beautiful and so is the video. Either one of them would be a wonderful home. Flute rehearsal today and then the tax man cometh. Then laundry day and choir this evening. As for Valentine's Day..nothing planned here except for a church meeting in the evening. I have Ethan from 8-4 so that kinda cuts out any celebrating. But then again, he's my Valentine every day. Awwwwwwwww Jenn...today is your first day knowing you HAVE the job. Enjoy it and I can't wait to fly with you.
