Evening, Violets. Things are starting to get back to normal here. Got all the painting done and the border in the kitchen done. We ran out of the border for the breezeway so I will have to go get some more tomorrow after my staff meeting. I got one desk emptied out and put into my mother's antique dresser so that will be in here now. We will get a Deacon's bench and some new curtains and then this room will be done! The Bobster just has the moulding to do in the kitchen and that will be done. It turned out way better than I hoped. I'm really pleased with it. Ethan comes tomorrow at 1 so we need to get as much put away as possible. I have a bunch of knick knacks that were on shelves in here. The shelves have been painted and are waiting to be put back up so I can reposition everything. Step by step, little by little it's all coming together. We rearranged the living room so tht the TV will be on a wall closer to the cable. The guy is supposed to come this week to give us an estimate. I'm anxious to get the tv up on the wall so we can have the new couch delivered. That will be the extent of inside the house remodeling for now. Each day more and more snow melts so it will be time to get outside and get started on all the gardens soon. Hot tub felt really good tonight. it's 38 out and the sky is clear with lots of stars. I did my exercises and now am heading to bed. Everyone sleep well.

We'll be cruising out of Port Canaveral and head to CoCo Cay, Bahamas, St. Thomas and St Maarten. It will be 7 days to the Eastern Caribbean. I'm on a message board with people going on that cruise and two of them are getting married at Magens Bay Beach. What a beautiful site for a wedding! Our anniversary will be the day before Kris and I leave and my birthday will be while we're at sea. Should be lots of fun.

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up early getting ready for church. I painted all day yesterday and got every bit of the painting done. Today we put the wallpaper border around the top of the breezeway walls and in the middle of the kitchen walls. We went to K-Mart yesterday and put a patio set on lay away that was on sale. Still have to get some curtains for the breezeway and get the furniture back in here, but then it will be done!! Jane..sounds like you had a great time! Looking forward to hearing about it! Pamela... my DD LOVES Lucy. She grew up on the repeats with her Grandma. She has a Lucy collection and her St. Bernard is named Lucy Magillicuty Barden. We went out to dinner with them last night and she had an I Love Lucy pullover on. Michelle....how did your dinner go??? Hope you're feeling better. In two months it will be our 39th anniversary. Talk about feeling old!! But actually I don't. I found a picture of me with a former Kindergarten student yesterday and I can't believe how ROUND I was!!! I sure hope I look a lot younger than that now cause I do feel younger. I'm even looking forward to tubing in May!! And DD and I are going para-sailing on our cruise in June! Yikes!! Kat and Terry...so excited to hear about your PS. You know your Violets will take good care of you at the Bandiversary Bash. Gotta go and get dressed. It's been nice with temps in the upper 50's, but still have snow in the back yard. The front yard is just about snow free and I'm seeing the pile of leaves that didn't get raked up before the first snow storm hit! Everyone have a great morning. Catch ya later!

Broccoli slims you down! And so do other fiber-rich foods like berries, apples, green beans and stone-ground whole wheat. They make you feel full, so you take in fewer calories. And fiber may even prevent some of the fat you eat from being absorbed by your body. Lean protein ignites your metabolism! Every time you eat 4 oz. of salmon, chicken, turkey--even lean red meat--you ignite your metabolism, causing your body to melt fat faster. Low-fat dairy whittles your middle! Swapping two glasses of whole milk for low or non-fat milk will save you 135 calories a day. You can cut 13 pounds a year just by doing that! Lose even more by switching to low-fat yogurt and cheese for full-fat versions. Tea gives you a boost! Drinking green tea can raise your metabolism by up to 4%, making your body burn extra calories.

Good Morning, Violets.. Quick post. Feeling better. The seasickness pills helped a lot and so did lots of sleep. I'm finishing up on the painting I didn't get to do the last two days. Got two coats on all the walls that have the wall paper off. Just have to get the Bobster to move this computer table so I can do the rest. It looks really nice and I got a wallpaper border to put up at the top of the walls. Will take pics when I'm done. Going to rest up a bit while the paint dries. Everyone have a great day. I'll catch up on posts later.

Good Morning, Violets.. Was in bed all day yesterday with dizziness and general not feeling good. Took some motion sickness pills and it helped a little. Had to get up and do my choir rehearsal, then German class, dinner and home. Updated the countdown and went to bed. Today is a little better, but still not feeling 100%. New mattress is coming in an hour and we got the house looking presentable. Still have painting to do since I did zilch yesterday. Happy Bandiversary, Pamela!!!! One year down and a lifetime to go!! Prayers and Purple Power to you for your surgery. Kat... sooooooooo happy for you. I know it's going to make a big difference in how you perceive yourself and also will be healthy to get that extra flab outta there!!!! Any chance you can donate the skin??? I've heard of people doing that. Ethan is coming in a half hour and I need to go rest a bit on the couch before he arrives. Everyone have a great day. Make wise choices and drink, drink, drink!!!

I just signed in too, but don't have a clue why. I'll stick with this thread. Call me old fashioned, but this thread isn't broken so no need to fix it!!

Goooooooood morning, Violets.. Well, March sure went out like a Lion yesterday. It rained hard all day and today it's still raining and windy. Good news is a lot of the snow has melted. Bad news is... there's tons left! I'm sore and stiff today from all the painting yesterday. Today I work my shift at the hosptial and then come home and tackle some more painting. The Bobster is moving the computer desk out so I can get behind and strip the last of the wallpaper. This is such a small room, you'd think it would take a matter of hours to get done instead of days!! Oh well, it will be a definite improvement when I'm done.. I HOPE! Today in my journal I wrote 51 weeks. So next Tuesday it will be 52 weeks to the day that I had my surgery. We all have lots to celebrate this month.. weight loss, self esteem boost and best of all, finding lots of Violet Sistahs here. Sure hope this meeting in May is the first of many so that those who couldn't make it this time might be able to next time. I'm really getting excited! I'll probably start packing in another week or so!:puke: I'm off to the hospital. Catch ya all later! TracyinKS... we're sending the monkeys out after you!!!

I require a specific mix of Raspberry Lemonade and Classic Lemonade Crystal Light, shaken--not stirred, slushified in a Deja Blue water bottle twice a day. :puke::tt2:

Good Evening, Violets.. What a day!! We went to the bank to sign all the papers... that took awhile cause one of our friends works there and she just got back from an all inclusive vacation and she had pictures to share with us. Then we headed to the car dealership and they were really busy, but we got in , got all the stuff signed there and then it took almost 40 minutes for the salesman to show us everything on the car. Between Onstar and XM and all the bells and whistles, I think I'll just ride in the car instead of drive it for awhile. The Bobster took it to church this evening and he was getting 30 mpg, so that's a big plus! When I got home I had to go out again and look for a wallpaper border for the top edge of the room. I didn't find anything I liked so will have to check a couple more places tomorrow. I got the front door painted front and back and the laundry room door and trimwork painted. It took 4 coats to paint the front of the entrance door!! Why is it dark colors take more coats than light colors????? I just have two shelves to paint the trim color and then I'm ready to use the roller and the main color. I hope to get two walls completely done tomorrow. Then Ethan comes Wednesday and Thursday, but not on Friday so my goal is to have it finished by the weekend. We don't have anything scheduled for Saturday so I can work all day then too. I have to find a valance for the windows in the room. The one I have now doesn't match the new paint. Suzie.. your Royals beat MY Tigers!! Oh well, there's always next time! Going to go watch a little tv while the paint dries. Then I'll take the tape off and get things ready for tomorrow. Will check in before I head to bed!

I put my Crystal Light in a 33 oz. DeJa blue water bottle and put it in the freezer for about 2 hours. It's pretty slushy by then, but not frozen solid. Love it that way!! different size bottles would have to be different times, but I like the DeJa Blue cause it has the top that you suck on. No opening and closing caps all the time. Just pull it open, push it shut.
