Evening, Violets. I just got home and got to my email and found the message from my roomie. Here's the pic..... It's gorgeous, PaMELa!!

Great pics, Jenn. Glad you're loving your job! I remember those days of working and taking care of a family along with church committments. I sure do enjoy my "free" time now. Yes, I use the hot tub every night. I have it turned down to 97 now and it's perfect in the evenings. It's darn cold here today. 57 degrees, but it's supposed be in the 80's by Friday and a couple of days after that. My poor pool isn't getting heated from solar heat like it should since the sun isn't out long enough or often enough to do it's job. TracyK... so glad you could make the decision you did. I worked all the time when my kids were growing up, but then again I had my summers off and to tell you the truth, I would have gone crazy if I had not been able to teach. I love my family, but I loved my job too. But you will really enjoy your time with Macy. It goes by too quickly. Suzie.. hope your pool gets in soon and you can use it more than I'm using mine!!! arghhhhhhhh It's really tough to do laps in a hot tub :ohmy: Roomie.. I went to bed early last night so didn't see your post until this morning. I would have called if I had seen it! I think we're all going through Gruene withdrawals. Coyote Ugly was on tv yesterday afternoon and it brought back ummmmmmmmm interesting memories. :cursing: One more choir rehearsal tonight and then I'm done for the summer. The Bobster and guys leave for Gettysburg next Wednesday. DD Kris and I leave on the 21st for our cruise. Time sure is flying by!! She's having second thoughts about parasailing, but I'm still good to go, so I'm yanking her along. Laundry calls so I better get off here for a bit. Everyone have a great day!!

Ahem.. roomie. don't you read my posts?? In case you missed it... here it is from long ago. Like one week ago today. Good evening, Violets.. I got back from school at 5 and just got back from eating dinner out with the Bobster. I got 3/4 of a Butter Burger down without the top bun. I had a cup of chili for lunch and nothing in between all day. I think I need to go back to school to keep me in line on the eating!!! The teacher who took my place had gastric bypass and she has lost 101#. She's just a petite thing now. I can't believe how little she is. She looks amazing. I got lots of compliments and a new resolve to get those 10# off!! Kat.. WOW!!! So sorry to hear about the accident. Ethan is a big boy and is still in a car seat, thank goodness!! Sure hope Connor is feeling great tomorrow. Angels were watching over them for sure. Glad to see you posting too. I'm so thrilled for you and your flat tummy! I too had just the mostest bestest time in Texas. You all are very special friends and I just felt so at home with you all. Pam MEL a.. thanks for the card. That was sweet of you to send and I appreciate you taking the time to do it!! Makes me love my roomie all the more. Ummmmmmmmm... all????

HH.. You're not alone by any means. My losing has stalled for about 4 months now. We just cancelled our next dr. appointment because I KNOW I'm at the right restriction. I just have to get my head wrapped around the idea the junk food isn't good. Shakes and candy seem to make their way through restriction just fine. Now that our weather has finally started to look summery (though tomorrow it's only getting into the 50's after the 70's today), I'll be outside and away from food more. I'm disappointed, but not depressed. I just try and have patience and work more at following the bandster rules. We had a wonerful cookout on Saturday and I made potato salad, pasta salad, bean salad and baked beans. Potato salad is one of my favorites and today I ate a little bit slowly today for lunch, but I have to add that to my list of "don't eat it" stuff. I pb'd the whole thing.. yuck. I ate a little of the bean salad and that stayed down so I'll just baby myself for the rest of the day. Going to go out and get some plants to replace ones that didn't make it through the summer. Today's a lazy day. No Ethan and no meetings.. woooo hoooooo!

Good Morning, Violets.. Yucky, rainy day today. We had thunderstorms roll through last night and it rained a ton. My swimming pool is just about topped off now. I'm waiting for Ethan to arrive for the morning. We had planned a cookout today for the Bobster's birthday, but it's too wet and yucky so we'll postpone it til tomorrow after church. Luckily all the food will still be fine one extra day in the fridge. There's no joy in Mudville today since the Pistons went down in flames last night. I was so hoping they would get to the finals this year. They have to do something and that means firing the coach or letting some players go and that makes me sad. BUT the Red Wings have a chance at the Stanley Cup so life goes on!! Jane, thanks for the purple note in the purple envelope. What fun to get mail from a Violet Sista!! I'm babying a sausage cheese omelette right now. Chew, chew, chew and wait between bites. It's going down, but not very easily. Hope everyone has a relaxing Saturday. I'll continue cleaning and getting things ready for the cookout whenever it turns out to be!

Good Morning, Violets.. Ethan is here and we've had breakfast and he's laying on the couch resting now. Hopefully we can call it a nap if he manages to close his eyes for awhile. Today is the Bobster's birthday, but we're not celebrating til tomorrow with a cook out if the weather holds. The kids and I got him a Kindle electronic book as his gift. The Bobster is a reading fiend and I have tons and tons of books all over the house. Hopefully this nifty little gadget will alleviate some of that problem. We're going to do some deep cleaning of the house today. Can't do outside work since it's raining and supposed to continue all day. It's 52 out and dark and dreary. We went to a friends house for dinner and everytime in the past that we went there, I've had to PB. I told her my goal was not to PB this time and wooooooooo hooooooooooo I didn't!! Her husband said.. "we have to keep inviting Judy over for dinner until she doesn't throw up anymore". Nice to have that reputation, eh???? She's a wonderful cook and I just had little bits of everything and ended my eating way after all of them so I was a good bandster. My goal for the next week is to stay away from ice cream and sweets. They have been my downfall lately starting with the M&Ms and pecan brittle at Gruene!! Must stop, must stop, must stop!!!:tt2::nono::thumbup::cuss: Time to get some cleaning done.. Everyone have a great day!! Haydee.. love the cracklins'. Good Morning, Violets.. I'm wayyyyyyyy behind this morning after sleeping in til 9. I'm due at the hospital for my shift this morning. Luckily it's whenever I get there. Just had to stop in and post before I headed out the door. Michelle.. CONGRATS on your bandiversary!!! You've done such a great job this year and next year will be even better!! You look wonderful now and we're all so proud of you!! I know we're all proud of ALL our Violets no matter where they are on the weight loss journey. When I start getting down because the weight is just sitting there, I realize where I started a year ago and know I have nothing to be down about at all!!! We have to keep our focus on the ultimate goal, but we can't forget how far we've come. This morning I had to go through lots of clothes to find an outfit for today. Last year it would have been going through two, maybe three choices. Today it was toooooooooo many choices!!:wink2: But I'm finally dressed and ready to head out. I'll TRY and catch up on all the personals today when I get back and before Ethan arrives for the afternoon. Everyone have a great day!! HAYDEE!! Thanks for the package. Good Morning, Violets. Second and last day of getting up at 5:30. Sure was harder to do this morning than yesterday morning! I retired at the right time. It was great to see some of my former students and colleagues. Got lots of compliments and that felt good too. Today is the tough day when I get home just in time to go to choir rehearsal. I'm skipping German class cause my mind isn't going to be functioning at 7 p.m. for sure. Denise.. the pics of your grandson are precious. Enjoy being Grandma.. it's the best feeling ever!! Suzie.. you look great in your pics, but I agree with Laura... SMILE!!:sad: Time to get off here, let the garage dog out and then get dressed and be on the road. Everyone have a great day!!

Tracy... Ticker away!! I certainy wouldn't mind. And it's not my last 10#... it's the 10# I want to lose before my next cruise. After that will be another 10# to my first goal. Smaller goals seem to work better for me now for some reason.

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up wayyyyyyyy early today cause I have to drive 62 miles to my school and help with Kindergarten Round Up today. I now remember one of the reasons I retired!! This getting up at the crack of dawn is not for me anymore!! Carlie bit DSIL at the vets and now his finger is infected. He sure is going through a lot for that cat. Carlie never ever has bitten anyone before, she was such a gentle cat, but it just shows me she was in great distress and we did what was best for her. It's darn cold here this morning. 38 degrees down from 81 yesterday. I have to get my butt in gear and get dressed and let Jetta out and then be on my way. Everyone have a great day!

Summer is best for me too. June (late), July or August is good for me.

Good evening, Violets. We're back home and pooped out after a wonderful weekend in Canada. Only bad part was having to put down our cat while we were gone. DSIL had to do it for us. Carlie our big orange cat we'd had for 8 years was in respiratory distress. We took her in before we left and they gave her meds and she was doing a bit better, but the vet said the prognosis was guarded. I told DD Kris if Carlie started breathing through her mouth, the vet needed to be called. Well, it happened yesterday and by the time they got to the vet, Carlie was really bad. They put her down right away. That was the Bobster's favorite cat and it's kinda sad around the house now without Carlie. We're going out to dinner now with DD and DS and I'll try and post some more when we get back. I'll be at school all day tomorrow and Wednesday for Kindergarten Roundup so won't be in touch til late evening. Catch ya'll later.

Kat!!! It's so good to hear from you!!!!! I was amazed that you were able to come home the same day. Can't wait to see pics. You're going to look sooooo hawt!!! When you wore the first blouse on Friday, I sure didn't think you needed surgery, but when you wore the other tan blouse, I could see what you were talking about and am sooooooooo happy you got rid of it (the tummy, not the blouse) and will be feeling so good about yourself now!!! (not implying you didn't look great in the tan blouse... I was just really looking for the belly and there it was!!!) Yikes... am I digging a hole for myself here or what??? Help me, Violets!!! I'm just in from the hot tub and am packed for Canada. Just toiletries in the morning... I know the drill. I'll be out of touch until we get back on Monday night. Try not to talk too much, k?????? I've been telling everyone here how much fun I had in Texas and Bob and I watched the videos tonight on the big screen tv. Did I mention that Bob got picked for a new job?? He's going to be the part-time, interim Associate Conference Minister of the United Northern Association. It's a mouthful and really an honor for him . I'm so proud of him!!! It's a great way to finish out his career. There is also a church about 3 hours away that is in trouble and has no pastor. He's considering an interim there too. That means I'll be a bachelorette a few days a week if he gets that. The ACM job he can do from here one day or two a week. Well, enough rambling. I better post this before I lose it! Good afternoon, Violets!! I'm back from the hospital and doing laundry while I wait for my videos and pics to upload on Webshots. Hopefully you'll be able to see the videos along with the pics. I didn't have a single "BP" on the whole trip, but today I'm home, eat a part of a hot dog and whoosh.......BP as soon as I got to the bathroom. :eek: Sooooooooo no protein yet today. I have to hunt through the fridge and see whats in there. Seems like I've been gone forever from here, but dang it was such fun!!!!!! How's July looking for everyone next year??? I'm already starting to look at cruises.

I'm skipping German class cause I have wayyyyyyyyy too much to do to get ready to head to Canada tomorrow morning. I gained a pound on our getaway which I don't worry about. DD Kris and I have vowed to lose 10# by our cruise date. So I'm on the wagon again and ready to head downward. Everyone have a great day. I'll work on pics when I get back this afternoon.
