Good Almost Afternoon, Violets.. More storms hit last night, but today is a bright, sunshiny day. I better go turn the solar heating panels on and hope the pool warms up. Ethan comes in an hour for the rest of the afternoon. Bob is working at the Democratic party headquarters maning the office. I got 36 minutes in on the wiifit this morning. Sure do love that thing!! BAck from the dinner. It was a nice get together. It stormed while we were out. Luckily we had let Jetta in the house so she wouldn't chew through the paneling we have blocking the giamongous hole she has already chewed through the door. I'm headed to bed to read for a bit. Ethan comes at noon tomorrow so I can relax and do wiifit in the morning. Everyone sleep well. Glad you're back safe and sound, Kat!!

Good evening, Violets.. Church was really nice today. I had not been there in ages and got lots of compliments on the weight loss. The one I liked best was.. "are you losing weight??". I so wanted to say DUH!!!, but refrained. Got home after getting the stuff for the spinach strawberry salad and put it together, then took a nice, long nap. We're headed out the door to the meals for 8 now. The weather turned nice and the temp is 74 now. Pool temp is 80. Maybe, just maybe I can get in for a swim and some exercise time tomorrow. Will check in when we get back tonight.

Another golden oldie here too. Would do it again in a heartbeat!!

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm sitting here waiting for the Bobster to get back from Walmart getting some things he needs for his children's sermon today, then we're off to church. I wasn't quite ready when he was so he left a bit early. It's a chilly, rainy day here once again. Story of our summer so far. I'm glad I went to the art fair yesterday cause it's gonna be a mess there today with all the water. And of course now I'm going to have to empty some water out of my pool since the filter can't work when the water level is so high. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Everyone have a great day!! Laura.. what the heck are you doing up at 3:30 a.m.?????? Jane.. wish I could help. Getting a good job with benefits is so tough these days. And reading in the news that benefits are certainly not a guarantee when you retire. GM workers are finding that out the hard way. My fingers are crossed that my benefits won't be touched or I'm screwed!! Bob's back.. gotta run!!!

Good evening, Violets.. Well, it's a good thing the Bobster and I split a meal. We ordered the prime rib special. Got the biggest cut so we'd both have enough protein. I got the salad and he got soup. I had two grape tomatoes and a little bit of lettuce and had to rush to the bathroom. I ended up eating just a few bites of the meat, 1/2 the baked potato and then pb'd one more time. So much for a good meal. Don't know why I feel so tight lately. I tried grapes and they did me in. And green grapes used to be my favorite fruit. OH well.. it's a small price to pay for the new me. I'm going to head to bed as I'm getting up and going to church with the Bobster tomorrow. We have a meals for 8 dinner in the evening. 4 couples from church meet at a home and each couple brings a different part of the meal. I am bringing a spinach/strawberry salad. Super easy to fix and everyone seems to like it. Unfortunately I can't eat it as raw spinach doesn't go down easy anymore. Didn't get in the pool today cause I didn't have much free time and it only got up to 78 water temp. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Some summer we're having here. Everyone have a good night and sleep well. Good evening. Violets.. I'm back from the art fair. Got a neat ceramic planter for the back yard and a nifty flamingo t-shirt to wear during flute rehearsals. Betsy, my fellow flute player, accompianist and friend, and I got shirts for the other two in our group. She and I are going to wear ours to rehearsal on Wednesday and then when they snicker and sneer, we'll pull out the shirts for them too! The Bobster and I are going out to eat. It's just so much cheaper for us to go out and share a meal than for me to cook and have tons of left overs. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! Will check back later..

Ooops. forgot to mention. The MAYOR of Alpena called me yesterday.. wooo hoooo. SHE is in the final stages of prep for lap band surgery. Has all the pre-op stuff done and just has to schedule it. She wanted my input so of course I did my usual lap band cheerleading routine. I also am having lunch with a retired school teacher on the 29th so she can quiz me on lap band. She was at the support group, but had too many questions and didn't want to monopolize the whole meeting. So I'll gather up all my literature and meet with her. I think I'm becoming Alpena's lap band representative!!

Good Morning, Violets.. Sun is shining, and maybe, just MAYBE I can get in the pool today. Suzie, 81 is a little cool for you?? YIKES!! I go in when it's 82 and that takes forever to get to here. Hope you enjoy your pool as much as I do. We don't have a deck around ours.. just up the ladder and down. Someday maybe when I win the lottery we can put a deck around a little bit of it. Terry.. At least your mom is seeing pleasant things!!! Hugs and prayers to you and her. TracyK.. congrats to hubby on his new job. What an exciting few weeks you've had! The Bobster announced yesterday to the little church he is co-pastor at that he will be done Dec. 31. Then we'll be in a little cash flow situation, but we should be ok. Will just have to cut down on the number of cruises we take until my Social Security kicks in in 11 months!!:scared2::eek: Laura.. hope things turn out alright with your studies. No way I could do anything like that now. My brain is turning mushey even as we speak. Takes me forever to remember some things now. Keep reminding me who I am and where I am, k? Good afternoon, Violets.. Got home late last night from seeing Wicked. It was the best production I've seen in a long time. The staging, singing, acting...... everything was amazing. I'd go see it again in a minute. I got pics of my granddaughter in the outfits I made for her. Luckily they all fit! Ethan is here today and then we're going out for fish dinner. Haven't been able to do Wiifit since Wednesday and I miss it!!! Maybe I can squeeze it in after dinner. Gotta run.. Ethan is into something as usual!! BBL

Good evening, Violets.. Almost done with the third outfit. I want to be done so Bob can get them in the mail tomorrow. Suzie..you're going to just love the pool. Take lots of pics for us!! My pool got to 80 today , but I didn't get a chance to get in and of course tonight we're supposed to get thunderstorms so there goes the heat. I'll be on the road most of the day tomorrow traveling to and from Wicked. Ethan comes at 1:30 on Friday, but hopefully I can get in the pool if the Bobster watches him. I just can't believe how little time I'm getting in the pool this year. It's not fair!!! Gonna go finish the last outfit and then head to bed. Have to be up at 5.. Tracyinks!!!! AWESOME news! I too was worried when you didn't get online last night. We're so happy that the prayers were answered. Denise.. the slideshows were precious.. what a wonderful keepsake. Ain't technology grand?? I just finished 30 minutes on the Wii.. I'm getting really good at ski jumping and hula hooping and running. Can you imagine??? RUNNING???? Even with my knee I'm doing it! I tried the yoga stuff today and it's actually really relaxing. Did some strength training too so I'm good to go for this morning. Will hit it again this afternoon. Off to the sewing! BBL........ Ooops.. Joe just called and Ethan is coming over for a couple of hours. There goes the sewing plan.

Good morning, Violets. Slept in this morning and it felt great. Tomorrow I have to be up at 5 so my DD and DDIL and I can get to the bus garage by 7 to take a trip to see Wicked. Should be fun. House.. I just got out of the chat room on this site. We Violets should set up a time to get in there and talk. We'd take over the whole shootin' match!!! Going to go get some breakfast and do my wiifit. Will check back in a little bit.

Good evening, Violets.. Just finished the second outfit for Amelia. I'll finish up the third one tomorrow so I can get them in the mail. They really turned out cute. I don't have Ethan tomorrow.. I don't have ANYTHING tomorrow so I can finish sewing and spend a lot of time with the Wii fit. I only got 15 minutes in this morning cause the Bobster has been watching tv all evening so that ties up the screen. I've done super good on the last few days. The Wii keeps me honest. It's really a fun way to weigh in each day. Any word from Tracyinks yet?? TracyK.. admitting the mistakes is half the battle. You know we all understand and that makes this the best place to be when you're having problems. Confession is good for the soul and there isn't a one of us that doesn't have something weightwise and eating wise to confess. Raise your hand if you've been absolutely perfect for more than a week. My hand is in my pocket. But I'm here and I'm still gonna work at it. The Bobster and I cruise again in October and I want my Caribbean clothes to hang on me. I can deal with that!! I'm heading to bed to watch a little tv. It's really nice knowing I can sleep in tomorrow as late as I want. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

Good afternoon, Violets. Just finished the first shorts outfit for Amelia. The second one is cut out so I'm going to start on that. I have three to do. Same pattern, just different material. I'll take pics when I get done. Terry.. you look wonderful!!! That was money well spent. I can only afford toothpicks and duct tape and it's really not that attractive on me. It's finally warmed up here. 84 right now. I don't know what the pool is up to, but I have no time to get in it today so it doesn't matter. Maybe tomorrow after Ethan leaves. Culvers has their butter burgers for a buck tonight so that's where we eat dinner on Tuesdays. Then I have my singing rehearsal. I have ribs in the fridge for tomorrow night. Got a Paula Deen's sons rub mix on them. We had some the other night and it's yummy. These are country ribs with much more meat than the baby back ribs, so hopefully it will be just as good. Kat.. prayers and powerful purple thoughts for your DD.. Haydee..ummmmmmmmm could ya use a wedding singer for your wedding planning???? I'm available for a price, ya know. Laura, this is the first year of my life that I have ever eaten zuccini and I found out I like it! I saute it up in olive oil with garlic, onions and grape tomatoes. Add a little touch of Splenda and some balsamic vinegar and I could eat the whole thing, but I try and be good and limit. I also found out I like eggplant. I had it on the cruise and it was yummy. Funny what you can learn in your old age! Jane.. the Bobster got a new Cpap after having the old one for 13 years. It is sooooooooo much quieter than the old one. Well, back to sewing.. Everyone have a good night. I'll check back before I go to bed.

Well, that was a waste of time. Went to the hospital to do my work and nobody was in the nursing administration office. The door was locked to the office that has my key, so I just left a note saying I'd be back next week. Everything looked pretty caught up so I'm not concerned. Just wish they had thought about me coming in and left me the key to the file cabinets. I got the pump working on the pool so hopefully it will warm up a bit!!! Off to do some more sewing for Amelia. Good Morning, Violets.. Welcome back Pamela!!! We've missed you!!! Loved all your posts from Germanz. It brought back many memories of the time we spent there. Ahhhhhhhhh the bread, the meats... the CHOCOLATE!!! ok.. simmah down now. Well, for the first time today a new routine began. Instead of rushing to the computer to get on lapband talk before anything else, I went right to Wiifit and did my body test and some training. My Wiifit age today was 40 so I'm feeling pumped and ready to do all my "stuff" for the day. I tell ya, once I do the Wiifit and see my weight, it's a great incentive NOT to eat what I shouldn't. Bobster wanted to know if I wanted a milk shake last night.. He had pb'd pretty badly during the day and thought the milk shake would be good on his throat.. go figger. But I said no, I didn't want one cause I knew it would show up this morning on my body test. My weight is inching down by ounces, but I'll take it!! Tracyinks... lots of prayers are with you and your family today. May they comfort and strengthen you all. Suzie.. well, the sun is shining and I took the solar cover off the pool and turned on the pump, but nothing. The pump isn't running. Some switch is off and I don't know how to fix it and the Bobster is at meetings until after 1. I called and told him he needed to turn it back on when he got home. At least the sun is shining on the water and that should help a little. Tracy...hope that transcript gets there in time. Do they know how important it is that it get there by Friday? Time to blow dry my hair and then get dressed for the day. Everyone have a good one. Catch ya later!!
