And I have cravings for sweets! Oh wait... I was like that before Laura was PREGNANT!!! Jenn....same weather here. It's 41 right now. I'm sure there is a layer of ice on the pool and the leaves are starting to change. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... I'm not ready for summer to be over yet!!! The guy got 90% of the baseboards in yesterday and will finish up today. As long as I can keep the Bobster away from him, we do well. When they get together, it's talk, talk, talk, and no working........ MEN!!! I have flute quartet rehearsal this morning, then a rehearsal with a lady from church who plays clarinet and then I will stay and get music ready for our first choir rehearsal next Wednesday. I bought new folders and got the names on them. Now just have to pick out the music for the first few Sundays so we can start rehearsing. My weight has been way up lately, but today it's down two pounds. Still no where near what my ticker says, but I'm not changing it til I get below what it says. I'm thankful to be over my eating binge day and hopefullyl that won't happen again, but at least the band doesn't allow me to do that on a daily basis. Nor will my conscience!! I registered on a baby site using my daughter's info, but my email address, so I get weekly updates on how "my" baby is doing. :thumbup:

It was a picture just like this that showed up in the middle of viewing cruise pictures to let us know that our daughter Kris was pregnant!! I'm just as excited for you as I was for her!!!!!

If I fly out of Detroit, it's non-stop to Huntsville and less than a 2 hour flight. Let's get this nailed down so I can book a flight!!! :biggrin::tongue2:

In Michigan, there's always Mackinac Island.. but I don't know how we'd all get there unless you arrived at the Alpena airport and I could have enough vehicles to drive us to Mackinaw City. Gooooooooooood morning, Violets.. Well, I got in the pool yesterday for a little bit. The water temp was finally 80 so I hopped in after Ethan left and I got in two exercises before the sky opened up and dumped rain. It was a cold front coming through and it ended up being 48 degrees last night. So I'm sure the pool is back into the low 70's this morning. Suzie.. the unit is going to be about $1300 and then the pipes will be another $1000 on top of that. He's coming out today to check the distance. I don't think there will be a problem with the digging since we had electricity put out in the shed and the digging for that wasn't a problem. The heater should be here next Monday so I'm hoping by two weeks time that I'll be able to fire it up and get the pool warmed. I'm hoping to be able to then use the pool through October at least or maybe even the first part of November. Next year I'll certainly be able to be in it in late April. It's expensive for sure, but I'm sure it will be worth it to be able to get in it every day and even in the mornings.. wooo hoooo!! JENN! Wedding???? Did I miss something??? What wedding?????? Take care of your foot!! Hope the throwing up didn't do any damage to your band. We all miss hearing from you here. PamELa...YOU??? ROWDY????? I was back to my old habit of grabbing something each time I walked in the kitchen. Granted it wasn't huge portions, but it was many, many, MANY times going in the kitchen. By the end of the afternoon, I said what the heck and just grazed the rest of the night. Today I will be back on track ........not such a problem since I ate everything bad yesterday, so there's nothing left to tempt me.:biggrin::thumbup: I'm headed to my hospital shift and then the baseboard guy comes at 2. Hey Suzie!! Guess what??!!! I just ordered the gas heater for the pool. I'm tired of not being able to get into it and you inspired me with your talk of 88 degree water temps!! Now I have to get back to the guy that will be installing the pipes and let him know that the heater will be here next week.. I can't wait!!!!!

Good morning, Violets.. I'm up waiting for Ethan to arrive. We had a super great weekend with the grandkids. Amelia is just the sweetest little girl. I love her to pieces. Course I love the other two also. Mara, at 12, has turned into such a young lady. When the heck did that happen?? Seems like she was Amelia's age just a little while ago. Everett got to pitch and hit baseballs with Uncle Nathan and Grandpa. We took the kids to the park, to putt putt and they spent lots of time in the pool. Mia slept for 13 hours Saturday night so I guess we wore her out. The trip back to deliver them to their parents was a very long one. Traffic was horrible and we averaged 6 mph in a very long section of the freeway. We were on the road for 8 hours and it should have been only 6 normally. Needless to say, grandma crashed when she got home last night. I'm anxious to see Ethan cause he hasn't been here for a week. I have him 3 days this week and I have a big choir party at the house on Saturday so my week is going to be busy. The guy is coming tomorrow to start the baseboard work. I hope to have that all done by the time of the party. Pamela...have a good day today at school. This will be my 5th year of not going back to school and I can tell you, I sure don't miss it!! The kids and colleagues I miss, but not the "going back to school' part. Jane and Suzie... so glad you two could meet up. I wish the Violets were closer so we could meet up on a regular basis, but we'll just have to be content with our annual outing. Gotta go get some breakfast before the little guy arrives. Goooooooooooood morning, Violets.. I'm up and dressed for church and the two little girls that are going with me are up and dressed to. Amazing I remember how to do that after all these years!! Amelia went to sleep at 6:30 last night and slept til 7:30 this morning. I was restless last night thinking she was going to wake up at any time crying. I know who's going to be taking a nap in the car later today when we take them to meet up with their folks. The older grandkids went fishing last night and they struck gold, just like Michael Phelps. They all caught lots of fish. We are catch and release fisherpeople, so I didn't have to look at fish innards when they got home. They had a great time and our boat was sooooooo worth the money. Well, I better go and get breakfast washed off Amelia's face so we can head to church. Everyone had a great Sunday. Catch ya later!!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.. air temp is 78... pool temp is 75. This is NOT fun. Well, the kids had fun, but no way am I going in when it's that cool.:thumbup:

Good Morning, Violets.. The grandkids are on their way over here so I'm enjoying the last few quiet moments in the house. Bob is doing his funeral right now and won't be back here til about 2. Deviled eggs are made and just have to make baked beans in a little bit. The pool is very chilly, but hopefully will warm up to kid level by this afternoon. Suzie... we're going to get an estimate for gas heat for the pool. It's ridiculous to have it just sitting there not being able to be used cause the water temp is so low. The solar panels do well, but only if there's sun, of course!! I want to be able to use the pool earlier and later in the season so my first social security check next July is designated "POOL"! I might just pull some money out of my portfolio to get it put in yet this year. All I know is, I really miss swimming. It kills me to look out at the pool everyday and know I can't get in unless I want to turn blue! And running laps in the hot tub is kinda silly looking!!:tt2: The kids are going to go out on our boat when they get here. I'm guessing I'll stay home with Amelia which suits me just fine. I need some Grandma and Mia time. Not much else happening here today. Too bad we're not all on the porch in Gruene swappin stories and laughter!! Everyone have a great day.
