Good afternoon, Violets.. A dreary, lazy day here. It's been raining most of the morning. I had a good night last night. Bob has been massaging my leg like the therapist did and it sure is making a difference. The swelling is really going down and it's easier to bend. I have the "mean" therapist on Monday so we'll see how that works out. I told bob he had to massage my knee before I headed to therapy and hopefully that will help. The incision looks really good and is starting to itch now. I'm still taking the pain meds, but only 1/2 dosage and not as often. About the church... wellllll.... the pastor is gone. His last Sunday was the 18th. It was a farewell service and one of the church ladies got up and said she had to say something and that was we had treated the pastor poorly and it should have come to a vote and it was not too late to have a vote. ummm hello.. he resigned!! It was so totally inapproprate for a farewell service. And this lady is usually so very quite. Never says boo. The conference minister was very good. He thanked her and just continued on with the service. We have lost several members, but those remaining are very optimistic about the future of the church. The people who are upset are being very vocal and very unchristian. One of the ladies passed my friend a note during the service that said.. "I hope you're happy now". How rude is that!!!???? Right now we have supply pastors filling the pulpit until we can get an interim. There are several possibilities and we should have an interim in place by early October. He/she will have a big job ahead of them, but it just had to be done. The staff says the atmosphere around the church is just so different.. much more relaxed and happy. I can't wait for the next phase to begin. I want my church back! Off to relax some more before I exercise again at 4 and 8. My goal is to get in the pool tomorrow. We'll see how that goes weatherwise and being able to get up and down the ladder. Everyone have a great weekend!

Good morning, Violets.. Back from my therapy session and it was so much better today. I had my original therapist and I told her about yesterday's pain. She went easy on me today and told me to tell the other therapist when I couldn't take it. She said my knee looked "angry" when I came in today. We did my exercises and then she did some deep muscle massage and boy, did that feel good. She's concerned about the swelling and gave me hints to deal with that. By the time I left, I was bending at 95 and no pain like yesterday. whew. Off to read tabloids today and start sitting in a chair more and more to help with the bending. PamELa... Good afternoon, Violets.. Drive by post again. Therapy this morning was grueling. Was bending at 82 degrees and she got me to 95 in 10 minutes, but I thought I was going to die. Natural child birth is a piece of cake compared to the torture today. Left there, came home, iced the knee, took a pain pill, napped and am now in my happy place again only to have to go back to therapy tomorrow morning. At least it will be with my regular therapist, not the lady today who just kept saying.. breathe, breathe, while she bent the heck out of my knee. This too shall pass. Two weeks ago I was still in the hospital, so I guess I'm making good progress. I told my therapist.. the NICE one.. that I was going to Ca. in Sept. so that's our goal. To get me up and walking and sitting and comfortable before then. AND I get to go in the pool on Sunday!! Wooo hooooo!! Everyone have a great day.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Quick post as I can't sit here very long comfortably. Last night was not so hot. Had to resort to the pain pills again, but today is much better. I've done one set of exercises and am doing another as soon as I finish this. Each day is better and better. The dressing came off yesterday and the incision looks really good. The scar will be from the top of my knee a couple of inches down to the bottom of my knee a couple of inches. It's the universal scar I see on tons of knee replacement old people. lol Bob's been at Rogers City all day and I managed to get in one nap so far. I've sat outside for a bit eating sweet cherries and enjoying the flowers. I found out a tree I thought was one kind, turned out to be a Rose of Sharon and it has a beautiful flower today. They are not easy to grow in this area, so I'm pretty pleased. Wow, PamELa.. that's on expensive ticket!!!! One of the perks of being a Californian, eh? To everyone else.. can't do personals, cause I can't sit here long enough to scroll down and reread. Suffice it to know that I read them all and love all you guys!! Off to exercise and then read some more.

Good morning, Violets.. Had another good night last night. I'm weaning from the percocet ever so slightly. Sometimes I take the two and sometimes, just one. I have therapy at 1 today so will take 2 just before I leave to help with that pain. I'm walking without the walker around the house and Bob is setting up the bench for me to take a shower today.. wooo hooooo! Sponge baths are ok, but not like the real thing. I see the doc tomorrow and the dressing will come off. Hard to believe it's been almost 2 weeks already! Off to shower and get dressed for the day. Everyone make it a good one!

Good afternoon, Violets.. Pain pills, exercise, nap... pain pills, exercise, nap. Story of my life these days. Each day is a little better, but life on the couch is not a big thrill these days. Everyone have a great weekend. Mine will be... pain pills, exercise,nap.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm sitting up in my chair and Bob says it looks like I'm back to normal with the computer. Hurts to sit the laptop on my knee though. Haydee... do you remember when we went on our cruise and were waiting for the results of Jen's test? Hers was positive and Ethan turned out perfect. There are way tooo many false positives for that particular test. As for the sex.. I think that's a private matter between you and Juan and I would be embarrassed to hear..........oh wait... you mean the sex of the baby. Oh, ok.. nevermind. Off to have some Moo Shoo veggie for lunch. My Iron Chef/waiter just got home. Janie.. I think I would cross White Castle off my list for awhile. ewwwwwwwwwww Though Bob would not agree. They are his absolute favorites. He and son Joshua have been known to devour a crave box between the two of them.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I've had a lazzzzzzzzy day today. Did my morning exercises, then took a nap. Had lunch... 1/2 a flatbread 6" sub... and then took a nap. An all afternoon nap!! Kris has arrived to give me my shot. Bob went golfing for a couple of hours and I slept the whole time he was gone. I missed out on an exercise session because I can't do them myself. But I still have time to get the two more times in yet today. No cmm here, Janie. My doctor doesn't use them. I hope to get some more walking in this afternoon. Walking isn't painful, bending is. Just trying to get a range of motion back. I told the therapist I had to be able to get to California in September and she said no problem. $1 butter burgers for supper tonight. wooo hoooo. The weather is beautiful out. I sure do miss going in the pool and laying in the sun. Hope everyone is having a good day.
