Well ladies.. looks like I need some prayers for strength here. DIL just told the Bobster that she is leaving DS today for at least 4 days and maybe forever. She is not taking Ethan with her which tells me a lot. I blame both of them. I never did see this marriage working out, but I bit my tongue. DS is just a kid. He's 29 years old and plays video games when he gets home from work. He doesn't help around the house. Pays the rent, but the rest of the money disappears. They have been without a vehicle for weeks now. They've been using my car. He keeps saying he'll get his fixed, but he doesn't. We gave him the two vehicles he has. He never paid a dime for them. And we've loaned them lots of money to pay bills when he was laid off. That might look like enabling, but my first thoughts are of Ethan. DIL suffers from depression and says she can't afford the medication. We're looking into that today. But I don't have a clue what is going to happen. And poor Ethan is caught in the middle. Too soon to tell, but looks like I might be raising another child. A prayer for strength and wisdom would be appreciated. Thanks. I'm off to church to get the choir music all put together in folders.

Since she's asking.. you should just tell her that there's a little procedure she will need to go through in order to get pregnant.. it's called sterilization. It means that the drugs will be cleaned out of her system and she'll get pregnant with her girlfriend. Think that'll work??????

Does your sister know about your pregnancy, Laura?? If so, I would let her know in no uncertain terms that she will NOT be babysitting until she gets her shit together. I know.. sweet, innocent Judy. But it's the way I feel. She has no business being around your baby acting the way she does and doing the things she does. You need to protect that baby from her. And I agree with you 100%. Your parents are enablers if they are still giving her money. Tough love it just that... tough. But you have to look at the big picture and what you want the end result to be. End of sermon. Amen.

Good morning, Violets.. Lazy day today. Only one rehearsal tonight. Today is my hospital shift day, but I'm only going every other week now since there wasn't much for me to do last week. I make up the patient education packets and that goes in spurts. Now is a down time. When the nurses restock their supply, then there will be work for me to do. I think I'll get out and finish painting the railing on the front porch. The Bobster is gone until noon with his weekly clergy get together. Ethan doesn't come on Tuesdays so here I sit at the computer! Haydee.. I know if a soup is too salty that you put in a peeled potato and let it boil for 15 mnutes, then take the potato out, but I don't know about stew. TracyK... I understand completely what you said and that scares me!!:thumbup::tt2: I didn't think I needed another fill, but right now I'm glad we made the appointment for next month. I do fine until evening and then I just graze. Not eating much of any one thing, but a little bit of a lot of things adds up. I'm STILL where I was in Texas and that's 3 months of not registering a loss on the scale. How long can a plateau last, anyway????????:w00t: Yes, I feel good. Yes, I know I look tons better. Yes I wear normal size clothes now. Yes, I exercise. But I'm not at even my first goal. Last night I swore that when we get together in June, I will NOT weigh what I did last May. I WILL be at goal.. at least my first goal. That Violet baby will be held by someone who accomplished something special and I am promising that to myself!!! We CAN do this. YES, WE CAN! hmmmmmm where have I heard that before????? Suzie.. I'm going to take pictures of the yard once I get these last few flowers in. And the phlox are not creeping phlox, they are garden phlox. The are really tall plants with blossoms on the top. They stand about 5 feet tall. I also have the creeping phlox and they are pretty too, but the blossoms don't last as long as the garden variety. I just love sitting on the deck with a bird feeder off to the side and a little pond with water trickling. It is sooooooooo relaxing. I was watering the flowers this morning and my little humming bird came by to say hi. That is so kewl to see all the birds enjoying the yard too. It's the most birds we've ever had eating from 5 feeders. HOWEVER, I hear we are supposed to have above average snowfall this winter, so maybe they're plumping up for that. HEY.. maybe I am too!:thumbup::tt2: So far today I've had a sausage pattie with a slice of swiss cheese and a bowl of fruit salad. We're picking up 200# of beef today for Kris and taking it to her. That should count for some exercise right there! Michelle, that low grade unease is telling you something. Don't let it get to you. Talk with a professional and get some answers. The Bobster has a special light he uses in the winter for his SAD. It's amazing how well that works for him. Well, I better go get changed so I can get painting. Everyone have a great day!!

Evening, Violets.. Well, we planted 3 trees today and the Bobster is going to move a cedar from the front yard to the back yard and then I should be almost done. I want to get a couple more mums to put in where the cedar was. I ordered some plants on ebay. Got some garden phlox and a trumpet vine. Did I say recently that I was done getting plants?? My bad! I just came in from the hot tub. It's 53 here and the hot tub is 99 so it felt great. I got my water exercising in and now am ready for bed. Suzie.. the pool heater is going to be installed either tomorrow or Wednesday. Then it's just waiting for the guys to get the pipes in. I hope to have a heated pool by this time next week! Just in time for winter!!:crying: Michelle.. hope you're feeling better this evening.. Tracy..how did Macy like school today????? TracyinKS.. how is Robby liking school??? Michelle, I'm looking at leaving from Saginaw and having one stop in Detroit, same with the return trip unless I take one that stops in Memphis and then Detroit to Saginaw on the way back. No concrete decisions yet.

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm late posting today cause I didn't get up until 10 this morning. The Bobster and I went to a big church in Traverse City 2.5 hours away yesterday for a meeting. They want to pull out of the UCC because of our stand on homosexuals. This church is so full of itself and can't see beyond it's nose. Bob went as a representative of the UCC to try and convince them to stay, but it looks like it's a done deal. Consequently we didn't get home til after midnight and that was after getting up at 7 to get ready for our own churches. BTW, the fruit kebobs were a big hit yet again. I'll try and get caught up on everything.. Terry... congrats on being an online entreprenuer!! Your jewelry is just beautiful. I'll be wearing my original on our cruise in 48 days. Michelle... speaking from experience with not only me, but lots of family members... get thee to a shrink! It really sounds like depression to me. You don't want it to go on until you are unable to face the day. The Bobster went through a really bad time with depression and he's still on medication for it. The meds made a huge world of difference in his outlook and ability to function. Two of my kids and myself were on depression meds and they do work. I don't want to be diagnosing online, but just being able to talk to somebody who is a professional in that area certainly wouldn't hurt and probably would do a world of good. As for the teacher's lounge.. what a sweet thing you are doing for the teachers. I taught in a K-12 school.. one building and the teacher's lounge was way in another wing, so I rarely got down there. I ate lunch in my room with a couple of other teachers and at break time I was getting ready for the next day or visiting with the teacher's in my wing. Our high school honor society would bring us down a donut, fruit, juice or coffee the first day of school and during teacher's week so that was a nice treat. TracyK... Macy is just adorable! I remember those days well. She looks so happy and ready to hit the "big" school. Does she go a half day or whole day? I taught whole day kindergarten for over 20 years. Just LOVED it. I'm sure she's going to have lots to tell Mama today! Suzie... I just saw the list of dancers too. It's going to be a good season, for sure! Any predictions of who's going to win?? I'm guessing Lance Bass will step up to the plate big time. And Cloris Leachman??? 82??? Bet she'll be a hoot!! She's a feisty broad! Jane.. hope all is going well for you today. I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Kat.. glad you're feeling better, but sorry you have one of "those" patients in the house. I swear.. what is it with men and having a cold???? When the Bobster has one, he'll cough so I can hear it and when I ask how he's doing, he just coughs more. If I say nothing, no more cough. Go figger. I remember that was the big thing for me when I was pregnant. I never, ever got any morning sickness during 3 pregnancies, but I sure got worn out. But I did LOVE being pregnant. It was my excuse to wear loose clothes and look like I had a couple of watermelons in my belly. Ahhhhhhhhhh those were the days. I carried those watermelons for years and years and years after the last baby was born. TracyinKS....glad your camper sold. We sold our RV a couple of weeks ago. Glad to be out from under that payment. Now it gives me a little more to save for the big trip next June. How are things going at home?? PamELa...hope things are going smoothly at school. Hope I didn't forget anyone.. that's why I don't do group personals very often!! My mind wanders... old age... swimming pools.....dinner. Ooops.. lost it for a minute there. I put info on the Google sheet, but I haven't booked yet. I want to wait and see if the schedule works out the best. I'm all dolled up and ready to hit the road for the church. Terry.. I ate a couple of grapes while making the kebobs last night and that was a mistake. Why the heck is there skin on those delicious things?? Now my problem today will be staying away from the donut holes offered along with the fruit. Oh, and the butter mints.. hmmmmmmm tempted in church, now that's a novel thought. Catch ya'll later!!

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up early all dressed for church. Just have to curl my hair and put on my make up. Got 25 fruit kebobs made last night and will finish up the rest at church. It's 55 degrees right now and looking more and more like Fall. Denise.. your grandsons are precious. LOVE the tongues!! Prayers and purple power to you in your family struggles right now. Ok.. here it is 6:37 and the sun is shining brightly. However, I think I made the right decision to postpone the choir party cause everything is a big wet mess outside right now. People going in and out of my house would have sloshed water in and made a mess in the house as well. Bob said it's just God saying.. oooops time for a party, guess I'll send the sun. I have ribs heating in the microwave. We went out for ribs last night and ordered a whole slab to split. Well, there were enough ribs for a family of 20!! We'll be having ribs for the next two meals at least. After we eat I'll be making 50 fruit kebobs and probably snacking as I'm making them. Good thing I didn't opt to make a cake or cookies or brownies!! Too much temptation! Everyone have a good evening. BBL.........

Kat.. CONGRATS on making your goal!!! Just hope you feel better to enjoy it!! Woooo hoooooooooo our first Violet at goal. Now how many of us will be at goal by June 25th??????? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Yup.. I made the right decision. It's thundering and pouring down rain right now. Even if it clears up by 6 it will be way too wet to have anything outside and I don't have room for 20 people in my house. I barely have room for 2!! I gotta say though, my backyard is my pride and joy. We planted some more mums and dahlias and daisies. The Bobster wants to get a little tree to put in his area and then I think we're done for the year. I say that knowing I can't pass by a plant on sale at this time of year!! Now I have 2 weeks before the choir party and we can get the back deck and patio stained and the big pile of brush burned and hopefully my pool heated before people arrive. I got in the pool today even though the water temp was 78 and the air temp was 88. It felt good after working in the yard and I stayed in until the skies clouded up. Then I sat under the gazebo while the storm started and just listened to the rain and gazed at all my flowers. I just love it out back. TracyK.. purple power and prayers going your way. Well, I just called everyone and postponed the choir party till Sept 6. Next time we'll have a backup plan for bad weather. Sure hope I made the right decision. It's beautiful out now, but a storm is coming. We'll see at 6 if I made the right decision or not. I'm headed to Walmart to get fruit for fruit kebobs for after church fellowship tomorrow.
