Evening, Violets.. Well, another concert done. We got a standing ovation so we must have done something right!! I had a couple of NSV's and then a real downer. Several people told me how nice I looked tonight.. actually heard the word pretty! :thumbup: BUT.. two of the girls forgot to bring white tee shirts to wear under the black tops so I told Bob to bring two of mine. One was a medium and one was a 2X from my former life. Well, the lady who wore the 2X one thanked me for bringing the shirt to her and said it was a good thing we were about the same size so it would fit her. arghhhhhhhhhhhhh I haven't worn a 2X in a long time! In those particular tees I wear a medium!!! OH well, can't have all NSV's all the time!! I'm off to go watch some TV with the Bobster and then head to bed. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well. We got Kat feeling better... now we really need to work on Laura!!!

Hey Violets.. Just in from the pool. I think I can squeeze out one more day before we close it up. It felt so good to get in there and do my exercises. Just an hour til I have to be at our concert. I'm heating up my tilapia right now. I'll check back when the concert is done and I've unwound a bit. Everyone have a great evening!!

KAT BULLETIN *******BREAKING NEWS***** Just talked to Kat on the phone and she sounds so much better. She said even after coming out of surgery that she feels much better than she has in a long time. The band was perfectly placed, but the sutures had become loose. That was caused by the loss in weight and then I'm guessing the tummy tuck removing more fat was a factor also. They tightened up the sutures and she's good to go again. She had some jello and liquids and they are just going to check to make sure it goes through the intestine and then she'll be able to come home! She wanted her girls to know and thanked us for the prayers and purple power.

Our doctor has no regulations prior to a fill, but liquids 12-24 hours after a fill. We've never had any problems. We will be going down for our 4th fill on Monday. We haven't been for 3 months so it's definitely time.

Wow.. Awfully quiet here today!! Must be Friday. Susie.. it's 68 here right now with the sun shining so I'm going to try and get in the pool about 4 p.m. It should be nice and warm by then. I'm going to get in every day that I can before we have to close it up. Ethan is on the couch resting. He has an owie from where they drew blood yesterday. He had to have 5 shots as he was behind on them. He's one little pincushion today. No wonder he's a bit cranky and sleepy. Back to some more cleaning. Bathroom is next. yuck.

Good Morning, Violets. I got up late today and have just finished my oatmeal and reading my People magazine. Hope Kat is feeling lots better today. You too Laura!! I have EThan at noon today and my concert this evening. Then I have a little breather before the next singing engagement next weekend. I wish I could stay in my jammies all day today, but I don't think that's possible, so I'll get dressed and then have to change before the concert. Susie... was great talking to you on the phone last night. I have your cell phone number now and can text you when I need to. PamELa.. do a good job tomorrow, Rev. Roomie!! Time to get the house cleaned up a bit. It will be a disaster again after Ethan leaves. Everyone have a great day!!

I couldn't stand it anymore and called Rick. Kat is out of surgery, they repaired the band and she will be able to go home tomorrow. I told Rick to give Kat our love and that we were all praying and sending purple power her way.

Evening, Violets.. Just got back from a meeting and was hoping to find out anything about Kat. She told me on the phone that she was going to have the band repaired. I said.. not removed?? She said, no they would repair it. One of our support group members had a prolapse and they removed his band and then replaced it after a healing process. I just hope they can get this thing taken care of for Kat. She sounded so tired when I talked to her.

Got a text message from Haydee. She is still without power at home. She's at work, but they have no internet and are running on generators. She said to pray for her that she gets power at home soon. And she misses us.

I'm pretty sure I got ahold of everyone through text. But if I missed anyone, Kat just finished her swallow test and they found she has a prolapsed band. She was on her way to the hospital to go right to surgery to have it repaired. Keep her in your prayers...

Good Morning, Violets.. It's a beautiful morning here today. Only 49 degrees and the furnace came on again, but the sun is shining and all is right with the world. EXCEPT... we have to get all our Violet Sistahs in a good place health-wise and emotionally. Michelle.. your siggy says it all. What a difference in the two pics. You look absolutely sleek and slender in the second pic. You have got to be so pleased. Now on to the next picture when you are at goal! PamELa... Luckily our school never had Open House the first week of school. Living 62 miles away, I wouldn't have arrived home until 10 p.m. and then have to get up at 4:30 the next day to start all over again. We had parents come into school during the day to visit and even that went by the wayside. But then again in Kindergarten we had moms coming in each Friday to help with Centers and Friday Cookin'. We always had a great group of moms to help with different things. Kat and Laura.. sure wish I could make it all better for you two. When a Violet hurts, every Violet hurts. We're all really concerned for you and wishing you complete recovery. Susie... I'm trying to get into the pool today for probably the last time. It gets so darn cool at night, but is really pleasant during the day. I'm going to turn on the heater and see if we can get it up to acceptable today so I can get in this afternoon. TracyK.. those pictures are incredible. I can't begin to imagine the destruction there. You are very lucky to have a house to return to!! Haydee.. we miss you and are anxious to have you back here!! Jenn.. take it one day at a time. Breathe... it will be fine. You always seem to land on your feet and this time won't be any different. Terry.. went to your site and the jewelry is so beautiful. There ya go. I knew you'd figure it out soon enough. Got great news. My cruising buddy Kathy got her approval today and is scheduled for surgery 10/10. She's soooooo excited. And I'm so excited for her. This is going to make a big difference in her quality of life. She's 65 and has difficult with her hips and knees and the band is going to help her get the weight off and improve her ability to get around. We have two in our support group having surgery in October and one had it 3 weeks ago. I'm looking forward to the meeting this Saturday. $1.00 Butter Burgers at Culvers today so you know where the Bobster and I will be having dinner. Then it's off to rehearsal once again. Laura.. sure hope you get some relief soon. Sure does sound painful. TracyinKS.. we can do this!! We're all in the same boat right now. We just have to haul as....errrrrrr anchor and get it going in the right direction again. Glad to hear that Haydee checked in today. Kat.. how are you doing?? Thinking about you all day today.. Michelle... good for you with the exercise!!! You KNOW those stubborn pounds are going to start coming off now. Time for me to GMAIG too!! Afternoon, Violets.. Just got back from lunch at Hunans. I had the buffet, but it sure is a waste of money for me. But at least I don't have to worry about left overs to take home. Did good on the eating, though I didn't have any breakfast. That will come back to bite me in the butt this evening. PamELa.. see if you can figure out what it means!! I got a text message from TracyK.. They are going home, their lights are on! I'm anxious to hear how everything in their home fared during the hurricane.

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up and ready to head out to the hospital for my shift. Then it's a lazy day until I have a rehearsal tonight. Was supposed to go out for lunch, but we had to reschedule it to Thursday. It was darn cold this morning when I got up... 41 and the furnace kicked on. The sun is out now so I'll crank up the pool heater and hope I can get in to swim tomorrow at least. TracyK.. hope everything is ok there. I'll be happy to send anything you might need. Just let me know!!! PamELa.. your roomie is doing just great..thanks for asking. The Bobster and I were discussing our plateau yesterday and we came to the conclusion that #1.. we've both lost the most weight we ever have..#2. We both feel really great and have accomplished a lot. #3. We both are feeling comfortable and that's the reason we are not losing anymore. Soooooo the conclusion is that we need to both get a fill and buckle down and start working at this again. I just put on my pair of cords and a light sweater from last winter and everything fits fine so I haven't gained, but I haven't lost either. We'll see what this fill on the 22nd does for us. We've slacked off on the exercise and like Michelle says.. we need to get back on track with that. I have my support group this Saturday and am looking forward to sharing stories with everyone and getting some new motivation. Gotta run... everyone have a great day!! Kat.. are you sure you shouldn't be in the hospital?????? What you're describing sounds very serious. My prayers are with you through this. I'm waiting for the Bobster to get home from Bible Study, then we'll watch a little tv and head to bed. We have so many Violets in need lately......... we need to summon up as much purple power as we can for them all. Everyone have a good night.. sleep well.
