Me, Me, ME!! I'd like the soup recipe, Terry. The Bobster and I are into soups lately. Must be that Fall weather. It's supposed to get down to 25 tonight. We have a ton of leaves to take care of and the new lawn sweeper is still in the box. Got my hair colored and cut, but not as much off as I had planned. My hairdresser Cindy said that we should try shaping it a bit more before we get drastic and chop it all off. She was right, it looks good now, and of course I'm blonder than when I went in, but it's a pretty color, not the screaming blonde of old. Had a good singing rehearsal today. Tomorrow is Ethan and then choir. I'm headed to bed so I can be bright eyed and bushy tailed for Ethan at 8 a.m. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

Good Morning, Violets.. I'm up and getting ready to head to the hair dresser. I'm going to try and go as short as possible.. just for a change. I got a great tan on the cruise and am wearing a v neck yellow sweater just to show off! lol Nothing else on the agenda today except for singing rehearsal tonight. I do have some clean up to do after Ethan was here yesterday. How can a little guy mess a house up so much????? It was fun to have him here again though. I bought him some magnetic letters and numbers for the fridge. He played with them for quite a while and can pick out several letters when asked to. He's starting to say more things that I can understand... kind of.. lol TracyK.. glad you're feeling better. Living better through chemistry! TracyinKS.. sorry to hear about Cody!! He must have been really scared with all the blood. And that's a LOT of stitches!! PamELa... with all the issues going on in the world today.. economy, war, health care,... why are we so interested in whether it's right or wrong for two people in love to get married?????????? Good Evening, Violets... It took me quite a while to read through all the posts!! When I got done, I had to head to Kris's house to take her the maternity clothes we bought her. It was such fun shopping for things. We got her several sweaters and blouses. She liked them all so that's a big accomplishment for what she considers her fashion challenged mom. I did laundry all day today and had Ethan for a few hours. Sure did miss that little bugger. Tomorrow I get my hair cut. I think I'm going really short for a change. TracyK..I like your hair better light, but it looks good dark too. It will just take some getting used to. The cruise was wonderful, even though we had to shift gears and turn the boat around on Tuesday to get out of the way of Omar. I got a lot of swimming and sunning time in and just had a relaxing 7 days. I did PB a couple of times..once into paper towels when the bathroom was full with a waiting line.... yuck!! All in all, we did well with the eating..I couldn't keep much down and was full after only a couple of bites, so that was a good thing. I'll weigh in next Sunday and see how I did. Terry... I wore the cruise bracelet, and it brought me luck.. I won $100 on slots, but then we blew it all and ended up in the red at the end of the cruise. I'm really glad to be home and back with my doggies. I got so many Yorkie kisses last night. We got home at midnight and I was reading mail til 1. Had to be up at 7:30 for Ethan. TracyinKS.. sorry to hear about Robby. Is the school suggesting any ways to help?? How did the P/T conference go? PamELa.. glad you had a good time with your Dad. I know it was hard, but you'll never regret being able to tell him all that you did. My FIL was bedridden for over a year after a couple of heart attacks, and it gave Bob the time to tell him everything he needed to knowing his time was limited. I wish I could remember the upteen pages of posts I read and send personals to each of you, but my brain is too old to keep that much information in anymore. Just know I read it all and missed each and every one of you. Welcome to our new poster.. I wish I could remember the name, but can't and don't want to get out of this to go find the post where you introduced yourself. (Did that make sense??) Good Morning, Violets... Just got on the internet and it's really slow so can't read the posts. I'd be bankrupt if I did!! On Tuesday the captain turned the ship around because of Hurricane Omar. Instead of going to St. Thomas and St. Maarten, we ended up going to Grand Cayman and Cozumel, both of which we have been to several times...sooooo the Bobster and I are staying on the nearly empty ship and soaking up some sun by the pool and enjoying the heck out of just relaxing. It's been a GREAT trip so far. Tomorrow we'll get off at Cozumel and just poke around the shops and then get back onboard. Terry.. I wore your..errr MY necklace and it went so well with my outfit, can't wait to show it off at home. I'll catch up on posts on Monday. Hope everyone had a good week. See you soon!!!

Good Morning, Violets.. We are all set and leaving in a few hours. I'm so excited!!! Yes, Jane, I definitely will be hitting the Casino with my lucky jewelry. I have allotted $20 a day for the 25 cent slots so we'll see what happens. Wouldn't it be nice to make enough for a plane ticket to Alabama??? Or enough to boost the stock market??? Everyone have a great week and I'll check in when I get back. I'm sure there will be tons of posts so I'll respond as soon as I finish the Violet Novel. Buh Byeeeeeeeeeee!!!

Ok.. here's what I'm going to do since I'll be gone for a week. I'm going to put in the countdown number it will be when I get back, and then I'll continue from there. That way if I can't get on the computer on the ship, the countdown will at least be accurate for the time I'm gone. Deal???? Good evening, Violets.. WEll, my name was there, but I wasn't! We've been here and there getting all our ducks in a row before we leave tomorrow. And yes, I have my lucky cruise bracelet packed!! I also have my new leaf necklace packed as it will go with the outfit I'm wearing from MIchigan to Florida. I didn't have Ethan today as there was no work for his dad, so he didn't go in. Sooooooooo we got the lawns mowed, the house dusted and got snacks and magazines to take on the plane. I'm going to go watch some tv, hit the hot tub and then to bed. Everyone have a good evening.. Good morning, Violets.. I was up at 6 to let the dog out and then sat at the computer for half an hour while it tried to boot up. I was getting really frustrated. Then I got a message from Norton that there was an attempt to hack my computer, so that's why it was taking so long. It's working fine now, thank goodness. 90% of my life is tied up in this thing!!! PamELa..I agree totally with what Susie said. Enjoy every moment with your dad this weekend. Laugh, cry, savor each memory. And LIVE with him this weekend!! Terry... Hero sounds so lively!! You're blessed to have found each other. Today is final day for packing. The Bobster says he's done, but thinks he overpacked so I'll have to check that out. I'll be doing laundry and cleaning the house so we don't come back to work to do. Ethan comes tomorrow and I get my nails done, then we leave Saturday morning. Gotta go get some things done. Good evening, Violets. I left at 1:30 today and didn't get home until 7:30. Finished my last flute rehearsal and did our gig at the Senior Citizen's home, went to my church meeting and then directed choir for an hour. Now I am done with all my committments until we get back from the cruise. I'm FREE!! I ate really good today. B: 1 egg, 1 turkey sausage patty, 1 slice cheese I was able to eat 3/4 of it. L. 1 tomato Soup at Hand D: 1 cup broccoli cheese soup with ham S: 1 Fiber Bar I didn't get my 5 meals in today because of my schedule, but I wasn't hungry in between meals. I went from noon to 7:30 without snacking and that's a MAJOR accomplishment for me. I got a call from my friend Kathy today. She sailed through the surgery yesterday and is feeling great. She's so anxious to start this new life. She's lost 100# before, but gained it all back and more. She said the beautiful thing about the band is she doesn't have to fear losing and then gaining it all back ever again. She knows about the struggles, but she also knows you pick yourself up like we all are doing, dust yourself off and start all over again. It's not how many times you start.. it's about the finish! Going to hit the hot tub and do my exercises and then head to bed. I have NOTHING on the agenda tomorrow!!! woooo hooooo! Everyone have a great evening... sleep well.

Tracy... can't believe that boat is sitting in the parking lot!!! PamELa...I have a few more posts than you, but you're catching up!! It's still raining here and looking like it's going to continue all day. Blah.. typical Fall day here in Northern Michigan. Perfect day for a nap, but I don't have time for one today. I just repacked for the cruise. Since we are not going to eat in the dining room, I don't have to worry about semi-nice clothes. I can go with my denim skorts and capris and polo shirts for the cafeteria. My suitcase is now down to 25# so I'll have room to pack a hunky Cabana Boy to bring home!!

Good Morning, Violets.. It's a rainy, Fall day here today. 55 degrees and just gloomy out. But the good news is, in 4 days we'll be on a ship headed to the Eastern Caribbean. Terry... we're hitting CoCo Cay Bahamas, St. Maarten and St. Thomas. WE have two beach days planned at Magen's Bay in St. Thomas and Orient Beach in St. Maarten. I'm all packed and ready to go, but the Bobster hasn't started yet. Typical! Laura... kudos on not smoking. You'll be a healthier momma with a healthy baby. Kris goes in for her ultra sound today. I have one of those days again. I leave here at 1:30 to go to church to rehearse flutes til 4 when we go to the Senior Citizen's home to perform and then back to the church for a personnel meeting at 5:30 and then choir at 6-7. My friend Kathy made it through surgery fine yesterday. I'm anxious to hear from her today to see how she's doing. Michelle.. hope you feel better soon. Off to fix some breakfast. I'm not hungry, but I know if I don't start off right, it will come back to haunt me this evening. Everyone have a great day!!

Laura.. I met the Bobster in 1965 and started smoking cause he did. Good reason, eh? I smoked until the day I found out I was pregnant and that would have been March 1975. I stopped cold turkey and never touched it again until 1985 when Bob's dad had a heart attack and became bed ridden. I smoked for awhile and then gave it up for good and have not had a cigarette since then. I still crave them once in a while, but unlike with food, I never cave in. Wish I had the will power for sugar like I do for nicotine. I just finished a Soup at Hand, creamy tomato parmesan bisque and it was yummy. Will have some more soup after bell choir and before singing rehearsal. Off to do some cleaning.

Good afternoon, Violets. Just back from the hospital shift and working an hour at the church. I got all the Christmas music sorted, run off, enlarged for a couple of ladies who don't see very well and organized. That's a load off my mind. I have the Christmas Pageant all typed out and ready so we don't have to buy a whole new book. We'll just use my narration and the songs I picked to go with it. I know it's only October, but only about 10 more rehearsals before the pageant and we are singing 8 songs! We'll work on the first on this Wednesday and then add one each week. The Bobster is about 400 miles away from here right now and keeps calling me cause he is lonely. awwwww.. we really need this cruise to relax and spend some time together. This new job he has is taking a LOT of time away from home. It's supposed to be a one day a week job, but Bob says in order to do the job right, you need to spend a heck of a lot more than one day. He's so dedicated and such a perfectionist. He's going to stay overnight tonight and come back tomorrow.. at least that's what I'm going to encourage. 8 hours of driving at night is dangerous where he is with all the deer and other animals. He saw a cougar cross the road ahead of him this morning. I didn't eat any breakfast this morning.. I know.. my bad. I'm finishing off the veggies from last night's dinner. They are soooooooooo good... summer squash, garlic, onions, italian dressing, parsley, cayenne pepper and a dash of brown sugar splenda. My all time favorite veggie dish. Going to print out the Christmas pageant stuff. BBL....

The bobster is out of town so I'm thinking of doing liquids today since I don't have to cook. My friend Kathy should be in surgery any time now. I'm so excited for her!! Everyone have a great day!
