Good Morning, Violets.. I'm so pissed at myself this morning. My weight is back up to 181 and it's my own fault. My head hunger is getting the best of me and the easiest way to stop it is with crackers or chocolate milk. I'm sick and tired of hovering around the same numbers on the scale. I wrote in my journal that today is day one and I have to prove to myself that I can do it again. So I'm off to get a legal and healthy breakfast and then head to flute rehearsal. I have vowed to myself that I will be at goal when my new grandbaby arrives. Today is DAY ONE. Everyone have a great day and remember to make good choices... "I also remember that BESIDES OUR JUDY....... we were a bunk of tipsy violets in the hot tub/pool........ " Sheesh.. nothing like feeling left out!!! But then again, it took me hours and hours to get there, by which time I had missed all the festivities. Just back from Bell Choir and finished a cup of creamy wild rice soup with corn and smoked sausage. I'm off to singing rehearsal now. BBL.........

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm back from my PMS luncheon. They had homemade vegetable minestrone soup and I couldn't get it to go down, so I just sipped on the broth part of it. Of course the chocolate mousse went down slick as a whistle! We watched the movie How To Make An American Quilt... I enjoyed that. Now I'm home making soup for supper before I head to bell choir and then singing rehearsal. Jane.. the nail stuff was in my mailbox today even though there was no mail delivery.. kewl!! Thank you so much!!! Do I put it on under nail polish or should I not use nail polish for awhile?? TracyinKS... haven't received the email yet... I keep checking! And you do NOT look the least bit fat in that picture. Your perception of yourself is vastly different than what we all see. That doesn't mean you shouldn't make good choices though!!! (this coming from someone who had a cup of chocolate mousse today!) Haydee.. you need to have a sign with you that you can whip out and show when the camera turns on you....... HI VIOLETS... LOOK AT ME!!!!:thumbup::tt2::w00t: Kat... great to have you back home finally! We've all really missed you!! TracyK... sorry I missed the high point of your puking at the get together.. :laugh: I much prefered munching on M&M's in the pool with you! Sunshine.. be glad you can't throw up. It's a no no when you have a band. I was debating about getting a flu shot and then thought, I better cause I don't want to get sick and worry about throwing up. PB's I do a lot lately it seems, but that's different. Nothing comes up except the food that won't go down. Gotta go check email and get the soup simmering for supper. Will check back later...

Good Morning, Violets.. I've already written in my journal and now finished reading the new posts in here. You didn't know the text was from me, Michelle?? Kewl!! I'm the phantom texter! Course you guys know you journal in here everyday, right?? See how painless it is. It's interesting to go back and look at a certain date in the last year and a half and see what I was feeling and eating. It's an eye opener some times. I'm off to get ready for my hospital shift and then my PMS luncheon. I made chocolate mousse yesterday to take today and I did have a little serving of it, but certainly not the amount I had other times I have made it, so I guess I'm improving! It's all good. I write first thing in the morning. I write about the weather and what I plan on doing that day. Then I write in the food as I go. The last thing I put in is my exercise in the hot tub. Writing the food in right after I have eaten it keeps me accountable because I see right away what has gone into my mouth.

NOOOOOOOOO, do not take the test. There are too many false positives. Ethan's was positive for Down and we worried for weeks before we found out it was wrong. DIL was positive for her first and it was wrong too. Kris is not having it done either for exactly the same reasons you said, Laura.

Laura.. Kris is 24 weeks along now and "dragon" is moving around quite a bit. But it's only been in the past two weeks or so that she's really felt movement and kicking. I know it wasn't at 19 weeks that she started to feel kicking. Not to worry... your time will come. Feeling that baby move and kick is the most wonderful feeling. Enjoy it while you can. I truly miss it, though I get a hint of it when I get gas..:eek: I'm back from my rehearsal and going to watch some tv before I hit the hot tub. Everyone have a good evening. Sleep well!!

Ummmmmmmm how could she be 5 months pregnant and due in April?? Kris is 5 and a half months along and due in February. And she just started to feel the baby kick the last few weeks. Up until then it was just a little flutter.

Try and stay focused, PamELa... Kat went on a trip for 10 days. hmmmmmm seems like 10 days should be over already. Sooooooo WHERE IS KAT???? (see, I said it nicely)

Cottage cheese with some Brown sugar Splenda mix and fresh blueberries is like dessert. Liver with brown sugar Splenda and blueberries..... not so much.

Not a chance.. the flying monkeys would be out after you in no time!

Haydee. I'm finishing up my third journal. I have written in a journal every day since the surgery. I write what the weather is, what I'm doing that day, what I have eaten (good and bad) and if I've taken my vitamin and had enough water. I record my exercise too. The journal has become the first thing I do in the mornings even before checking on my Violets..

Merry Christmas, Violets!!! Yup.. I woke up to snow on the ground this morning. Not a lot, but enough so the ground is white. Now if I can just get the Bobster to do everything I need him to do outside, I'll be happy. The patio furniture is still sitting by the fence waiting to be taken into the garage or shed and the boat hasn't been winterized yet. I'm waiting for a call from ds Joe to see if he works or not today. Hopefully he will and then I'll have Ethan. Breakfast and shower awaits. BBL.....

Evening, Violets.. I had a nice little nap today and then we went out to Applebees, split a chicken fajita meal (no tortillas for me) and then hit Walmart for a few things. I have Ethan at 8 tomorrow morning and have to take him with me when I pick up my friend for her radiation treatment. Going to go watch some tv, then hit the hot tub, then bed. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

Home from church and chinese buffet. Only had a few bites of three different things and then jello and a cookie. That's it for awhile I have rehearsal in half an hour and then naptime!! Going to Walmart after my nap to get some things for the coming week. BTW.. it's snowing here!!!! The sky definitely looks like a winter sky and the flakes are falling on and off. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good morning, Violets. Up and attem early today for church. The play we went to last night, Pajama Game, put on by community actors, was soooooooo long and the lead actor's voice was soooooooo off the notes, I alternated from gritting my teeth to laughing. The rest of the cast was really good and had some good voices. Why they chose him, I'll never know. Denise... the dress is lovely and the babies sure are growing. Thanks for sharing. Off to take my shower and get dressed. Everyone have a relaxing Sunday.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just back from my support group meeting. We were down in numbers... only7 this time, but one of the guys that came is 75!! and just had his surgery in January. He's down 75# and said he feels terrific. My friend Kathy, who had the surgery Oct. 7, is down 22# and another lady who had it Oct. 8 is down 25#. They were all really excited, so even though there were only a few of us there, we all had good things to celebrate. I came home and was on the phone for an hour and a half with one of my former colleagues. She was telling me what life in the kindergarten classroom is like now in my former school. I'm telling ya, I'm glad I'm retired!! She was complaining about all the paper work and not enough time to teach the kids. She says she gets to school at 7:30, leaves at 5:00 and comes back once or twice a week in the evenings just to get caught up. There's no way I could do that. I'm happy with my retired life. Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm off to read my tabloids and go to a play this evening with a few friends.

Evening, Violets.. Just back from dinner. They were pleased that I didn't barf, cause that's what I've usually done when I eat at their house. But tonight I ate slowly and Ginny, my friend, said she cooked everything so that it would be moist. It was delicious... squash, potatoes, sausage and peppers and onions. Yummm. We have Thanksgiving at Kris's house cause she has the most room. My kids downstate come up for Thanksgiving and we go down there for Christmas. We all get along and negotiate for time, so it all works out well. Going to go watch the last of the Piston's game and then head to bed. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well.

Laura, you're so organized!! I have some things that I bought last summer for gifts, but I've hardly made a dent in the list. 4 kids and 5 grandkids make for an expensive Christmas, especially the older they get! I just finished making up the invitation for Kris's baby shower. It looks pretty cute if I do say so myself. Just have to add the places where she is registered. She'll register when we go shopping on the 15th. She has one more "monthly" doctor visit and then she'll start going every 2 weeks. Doc says she looks 26 weeks along, though she is only 24, so who knows when the baby will be born. Anytime in February would be great. Kris thinks maybe the baby is a girl, because the doc read the ultra sound report and then referred to the baby as she when talking about the placement. I don't know if she was just making a general statement or if she really knows. Kris is going to look at work and see if the sex is written in the ultra sound report. She said she'd be disappointed if she knew. Me, I'd be thrilled!!!
