Good Morning, Violets.. Up, showered and getting ready to get dressed for my Christmas gig at the lighthouse today. My flute trio will be playing Christmas music as people tour the lighthouse keeper's house that is all decorated for Christmas. They are having horse drawn sleigh rides, children's activities and of course Santa! The Bobster is going to take me so he can take pictures while I toot my flute. The house was built in 1905 and they have decorated it as it would have been back then. Kat...what a horrible story!! Between you and Laura, we could write a book! TracyK.. hope you have a great weekend. TracyinKS...where are you????? Hope you're ok. Susie... last day in my journal and then I'll be able to start writing in the beautiful one you sent!!! That's the worst part of it for me. I understand there is now a pill you can take instead of that awful stuff. And the Bobster who can tolerate most anything only had to drink one 8 oz glass of "stuff" before his. I, who gag at plain water, had to drink a gallon!! ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww There is no justice in the world. Except for O.J. of course.. Here's Michigan cold for ya.. It's 19 degrees right now, but with the wind chill it feels like 6 degrees. Woo hoooo.. time to break out the sweaters. :tongue2: Just finished lunch with Kris. She's on her way to her doctor's appointment. Says the baby is starting to kick more. She looks really good. The cupcake tree for the baby shower came today. One more thing to cross off the list. Ethan comes at 2 today. I'm going to go lay on the couch and read my tabloids. Catch ya later!!

Good Morning, Violets.. Up at the crack of 9 a.m. today. I love retirement!! Nothing today except for play rehearsal tonight. The Bobster and DH Joe are going car shopping today so I'll get Ethan for a little bit, at least. I miss my boy!! Michelle.. so glad you're feeling better and so sorry for your neighbor. I agree totally with Pam.. life is short so you need to live it to the fullest. That's one of the reasons I flew hours and hours to meet up with my Violet ladies and will do it again! (well, hopefully not the hours and hours part!!) Tracyk.. you are easily amused, aren't you..?? :tt2: Susie...could you perhaps let TracyK know how to say no to a 3rd margarita?? Because someone, lots of someones, some without children, paid taxes so that you had a school to go to too. I know it's a chunk of change, but it's our future. Tough as it is sometimes, you still have to look at the benefits of education. We all take care of each other.. from one generation to the next.

Good afternoon, Violets.. Just got back from a long meeting with another church member and we are in the process of revamping the church's webpage. We got the home page and links done, now just have to put in all the info for the pages. I'll send you all a link when it's done. We're also trying to figure out a car for DS Joe. He's off work again today so hardly any income coming in for him and he has two vehicles we bought for him sitting in the driveways not running and no money to get them up and running. Actually would be spending more than the vehicles are worth to fix them up. Sooooooo looks like we will be looking to sell those two and get him a used Buick that's coming into the dealership next week. That means pulling more money from our portfolio and that bothers me, but hey, it's only money, right?? And I hate not having my car when I need it. It's going to be a rough Christmas for him as there just isn't any extra money for anything except the monthly bills. And there are just no jobs to be found in this neck of the woods. I'm just thankful we are in a position to help him out, but we've been doing it for years now. Oh well.. you do what you can for your kids, right?? And it's Ethan I think of most. I have a turkey ready to put in the roaster for supper. I bought it for Christmas, put it on the floor of the laundry room (where the freezer is) when I came in the door and went to put other groceries away. Well, guess what I forgot to put in the freezer?? I found it the next morning, almost all thawed out. So it's in the roaster today and we'll have to get another for Christmas. Just waiting on the RAISINS for the dressing.. YUMMMMMM!!!:whatchutalkingabout:tt2::wub: Susie.. Happy Anniversary!!!!! I'm glad our property taxes are taken care of in the escrow account. That way it comes out a little each month instead of a big wham-o at the end of the year. Michelle... hope you're feeling better today!! Nothing else on the agenda for me today. Just some house cleaning and fixing dinner. Might be time to put in the Zumba tapes and see what they are all about. Good afternoon, Violets.. It's been snowing all day. Just what we need. But at least the big globs of snow on the tree branches have been falling off. My Christmas lights are now almost back to where they should be. No Ethan today so I've been putzing around the house. Got my ironing done..(remind me never to buy shirts on sale for the Bobster unless I first read whether they are 100% cotton or not!!). Choir is in a little bit and then dinner out with my friend Kathy and her DH. I'm anxious to see how her fill is that she got on Monday. She braved the bad storm to drive 4 hours there and 4 hours back. Now that's dedication!!! Remember when I said I wasn't going to shovel anymore?? Well, when the Bobster left to go Christmas shopping for me (not like I'd stop him from doing that!!!), I decided I'd snowblow the driveway. Well, the stuff is so wet, it kept getting clogged up and then finally ran out of gas. I'd have to let the garage dog out, open the garage and get the gas and I wasn't about to do that so I ended up shoveling most of the driveway again. I keep telling myself it's good exercise! Laura, the tables are beautiful!!! And I too want to know how to embed the pics instead of attaching them. PamELa.. that movie got great reviews. Let me know what you think. Jane.. CONGRATS on dropping the 2# !!! Sure wish I could!! Kat.. I feel your pain with the hives.. been there, done that. Hope you get some relief soon!! I got all the invitations done for Kris's baby shower. Got all 75 in the mail today. I made the invitations and the labels so that was a cost saver. The shower is in January and we're going to have soups and salads and a cupcake tree. I won the cupcake tree on ebay and it should be here this week. Well, off to choir and the rest of my evening. Good Morning, Violets.. Well, it's snowing again!! We're supposed to get 2-4 more inches today. I'm really feeling the muscles from the shoveling I did on Monday. Guess it was good exercise! TracyinKS.. where are you??????? Everything ok there??? We might have to send out the flying monkeys to bring you back!! I'm waiting for Ethan to arrive so I can drive his dad to work. I sure wish they could get their van fixed so I got my car back, but at least I don't have to have it to drive to work every day. I can't tell you how great it is to be retired and not have to worry about that stuff anymore. PamELa.. it's so good to have you back posting. You know how much we love you and missed you. TracyK.. just read your message while typing mine. I haven't weighed yet. We have a doctor appointment on the 15th so I'm going to wait until just before then to weigh. I figure I have almost 2 weeks to get a few pounds off. I don't seem motivated to exercise lately except for my hot tub exercises. I got the zumba tapes, but have not even looked at them yet. Just too much going on this month. At least that's my excuse this month!! Gotta get my hair curled before Joe and Ethan arrive. Everyone have a great day!!

Good evening, Violets.. Have not been able to get on the site for most of the day. I don't know what the problem was, but I rebooted again and again and it didn't help. I finally rebooted the cable box and Lynxsys and I guess that did the trick. There were certain sites I could not get on and Lapbandtalk was one of them. I hate sending out the email asking if you all can access the site and find out it's just me.. arghhhhhhhhhhhh My day is done.. hospital shift, bell choir, New Day Singers. Tomorrow is busy again plus I'll have Ethan. Everyone have a good night. Sleep well..

Good Morning, Violets.. It's still a winter wonderland outside. I slept in til 8:45 so don't know if schools are closed or not. We got another inch of snow last night, but I don't have to shovel today. My arms are sore this morning from the shoveling yesterday. But at least the hot tub was relaxing last night. Jenn..Good luck to you at the docs today. My living room is eggshell white simply because it's so small. Any dark color would make it smaller. DD has a huge living room and their walls are chocolate and beige off of a robin's egg blue diningroom. Tracy.. mail is usually not too bad and Dec. 14th should be fine for mailing. I say that knowing I already have my Secret Santa gifts.. :biggrin: Off to get dressed for my hospital shift. Will check back later. Everyone have a great day!!!

Ahhhhhhhhh hot tub felt wonderful tonight, even with the snow falling. It sure relaxed all the muscles overworked by the shoveling today. I'm headed to bed. Hospital shift tomorrow and then relaxing till rehearsal in the evening. Everyone have a great evening. Sleep well..

Kewl... I just gave the rest of ours to DS Joe and family. We got overdosed on Turkey noodle soup.. lol But it sure was good!
