Good Morning, Violets.. Up early to get ready for church. My flute quartet is playing during the service today. Then Amahl rehearsal at 1:30 and then our Messiah concert tonight. We have rain and snow in the forecast for today. We've cancelled our trip to the doctor tomorrow because of the weather. We both know we don't need a fill, so 8 hours of driving just to get weighed doesn't make a lot of sense. Off to get some breakfast and get dressed. Everyone have a good day.

Good Morning, Violets.. Got up at 7:30 to let Jetta out and then got another hour of sleep. Just finished my FIBER ONE POP TART so if anyone wants to post that on their siggy they have my permission! :crying::tt2: We're going to look for a new snow blower today. The old one made some weird noises yesterday and then stopped and Bob can't get it started again. It's just a little thing we've had for several years and we've already put money into it this year, so it's time for a new one before the next big snowstorm. We're also getting a car next week for DS. I'll be glad to get my car back finally. He'll be paying us monthly, but a minimal amount and no interest. The best news of all is that they will finally be getting medical, dental and vision insurance through DIL's work. That's a load off my mind. Right now I'm finishing up paying for his last dental visit. We're blessed with enough money that we are able to do that, but it sure will be nice when we don't have to worry about those things anymore. Ethan comes today at 1. He was here yesterday and I had to leave to go to rehearsal before his daddy came to pick him up. Bob says Ethan cried for 10 minutes after I left. Wanted his Mommom. awwwwwwwww I sure do love that little guy. Tracyk... hope that check arrives today for you! The pics of Macy are sooooooo cute!! She's a little doll. Love the pink jacket. Judy -- This is the funniest phrase I've read in a long time: "fiber one pop tart" Ba Ha Ha! Is that supposed to make them sound healthful?? Well, slightly more heathful than cinnamon buns, pumpkin bread and cookie dough!!! It's fast, it's tasty and it makes me poop. And they thought the big three was GM, Ford and Chrysler!!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. I slept in this morning and then worked two hours at the hospital. The Bobster and I just got back from eating lunch at a chinese place. I had a few bites of this and that and it all came back up. Came home and had a glass of chocolate milk and that's been it for lunch. Had a fiber one pop tart for breakfast. TracyinKS.. you're doing so great with your LC'ing! Keep at it. As for the strep throat... Common symptoms of strep throat in children and adults include: Severe and sudden sore throat without coughing, sneezing, or other cold symptoms. Pain or difficulty with swallowing. Fever over 101F. Lower fevers may indicate a viral infection and not strep. Swollen lymph nodes in the neck. White or yellow spots or coating on the throat and tonsils. Bright red throat or dark red spots on the roof of the mouth at the back near the throat. Swollen tonsils, although this symptom may also be caused by a viral infection. In teenagers, mononucleosis can cause a severe sore throat that looks like and has symptoms similar to those of strep throat. For more information, see the topic Infectious Mononucleosis. It is easy to tell when you have a sore throat or a cold. It is harder to know when you have strep throat. Generally, sore throats are caused by a viral infection and not strep bacteria. Good Morning, Violets.. Off to my flute rehearsal, then lunch with a friend. Then choir rehearsal tonight. No Ethan today, but he'll be here tomorrow and Friday so I can get my Gramma fix. Snow, snow, snow everywhere. Schools are closed again today. The driveway needs to be plowed again, but no time this morning. Bob has a class to teach at 10. The big snowplows finally came through to do our road and of course the snow is now piled in a drift at the end of the driveway. arghhhhhhh Everyone have a great day. Ok.. here are 3 more pics of the scene outside. It's still snowing and it looks like we'll have to snowblow the drive for the 3rd time today. What a bunch of snow!!!

I got 3 mugs at $15.98 each plus $4.98 to put the graphic and text on the opposite side,plus $8.00 for a 4th mug (I got it at that price because the mug had a chip. I just wanted it so I'd have one too). So yes, it was ridiculous, but I knew that going in. I could have had them done cheaper at Walmart or Walgreens, but I needed them tomorrow and that was the problem. It would be 2 weeks anywhere else.

Excuse me... you met a ton... errrr a gaggle....errrrr a herd.........errrrrrr a big bouquet of us last year... member????

Back from the mall. Holy crap, that was a lot of money!!! I got picture mugs for the 3 ladies in the flute quartet. I had them put the picture on and then I gave them a graphic that had a little chick and some musical notes and said Wind Song Chicks. The pic was of us with our yellow boas holding rubber chickens and our flutes. I thought it was a cute idea, but $75.00 later I'm thinking just a picture in a frame would have been easier!! Oh well, I got them each an exotic hot chocolate and will give them the gift tomorrow at rehearsal. Bob just got done snowblowing the drive.. again!! I just can't believe we are getting this much snow this early. It's not even winter yet!! Tracy... I'm pretty sure Violet is going to be the middle name. Carson Violet Barlow. Has a nice ring, doesn't it?? TracyK... where the heck are ya??????

And just to clarify... if you ask a teacher what names are their favorites, you'll get answers based on what students they have had!!! No way would I name a child Cody after the Cody I had as a student!!!!!!

Good afternoon, Violets.. I'm back from the luncheon. I ordered the Applebee's boneless chicken wings. Ate about 3 and boxed up the rest to go home. Got here and decided to snowblow the driveway. The Bobster got back from his meeting and was finishing up lunch so I went out and did it. I really do enjoy doing it, but man, do we have a lot of snow and it's still snowing!!! Everything is cancelled for tonight. We're going to the mall in a bit. I decided to not go by myself because of the roads. I picked up an Applebee's gift card while I was there so that's another present taken care of. PamELa.. got your card today. Thanks for the friendship token. It's in my pocket right now. My Violet should be getting her Secret Santa gifts on Thursday. Wonder whoooooo it is????? hehehe Laura.. I really like the name Carson and for a girl I vote for Rebecca. I remember a little girl I had in Kindergarten named Rebecca.. Becky. She had red hair and wore purple overalls and was crying cause she came about a week after everyone else did. I took her to the rocking chair and rocked her til she was feeling better and she turned out to be one of my favorite students. I had her son Patrick in Kindergarten about 5 years ago. Sighhhhhhhhh time just flies. Anyway... Rebecca is a beautiful name. I have had several Briannas, and a Rachel, but never a Natalie or Claire, though those are nice names too. I'm just partial to Rebecca because of that little girl. Guess it was snowing harder than I thought. I didn't wear a hat and water keeps dripping off my head. I don't even want to look at what my hair looks like!!! Off to the mall. BBL........

Good Morning, Violets.. Same story, different day. We had snow last night and are under a winter storm warning til tomorrow morning. Supposed to get 4-6 more inches today. All the schools in the area are closed again today. I decided to postpone my hospital shift til Thursday or Friday. I do have a PMS luncheon today and will probably be able to get there. Then I have to go to the mall to get some picture mugs made for the ladies in my flute quartet. I'm supposed to have singing rehearsal tonight, but I'm guessing that will be cancelled. We have too many of the group coming in from out of town and the roads are not that good. TracyK... welcome home!! We've missed you!!! TracyinKS...keep up the good work on the LC eating!! And glad the happy pills are working for you. Looks like the doc has some regulating to do on Robby's meds, but at least you're seeing an improvement. So glad you took the bull by the horns on that one. Denise.. sorry to hear about the miscarriage. Sad, but now she can focus everything on staying well for the baby she has been blessed with. PamELa.. congrats on the gym workouts!!! YOu keep doing that and making good food choices and you will be dropping pounds again, or at least feeling better about yourself, you sexy, beautiful thang!! Michelle.. sounds like a great Monday for you. Hope all goes well at the doc. We go next Monday and I haven't lost anything and kept it off since April. But I only have myself to blame! I have the post that Terry directed us to posted on my fridge. It's a reminder to FOLLOW THE RULES! I don't have Ethan today and no meetings this afternoon, so that will be exercise time. Jenn...snow is on the way for you, I'm afraid. Oh, and just so you know, the size 10 pants I wear are total elastic waistband. No way could I fit into size 10 zip up pants. I'm on day 2 of the journal. What a treat to write in such a nice book every day. I'm off to take my friend to her last radiation treatment! Then just relaxing for the day until rehearsal tonight for the Messiah concert this Sunday. I'm going to wrap up my SS gifts and get them in the mail today for sure. Guess what??? We're under a winter storm watch for tonight through Wednesday with 6+ more inches of snow expected. wooooooo hooooooooooo! Anyone want to trade places with me???? It is truly beautiful out there, but it's going to be a very long winter.
