good afternoon all.... I have been upset since being banded I have not seen my scale move more then 3 lbs.... I have been walking miles every day and just not being a couch potatoe at all....eatting all good things...trying not to eat to much of it...but not always good there...but still the scale wont budge...( waiting for my first fill) This morning on the way to church my 10 yr old yells as only a 10 yr old can...WOW MOM YOUR BELLIE DOESN`T TOUCH THE STEERING WHEEL ANY MORE !!! I had to take a moment and smile and rejoice in his excitment and my joy .....God is Good !!! and who needs the scale !

i think we all hear the good with the bad.... i shared my banding with a select few...one oerson I really battled with to tell or not she is one to talk lots but in the end I shared with her , main reason being she also is very obease and i thought maybe if she was thinking of wls some time it would open a door.....wellllllllllllllllllllllll.....she has been the only one to say neg things since.....live and learn....Also the week befor my date I was worryed...should i or not....and a few times I almost backed out...but I didnt and I feel wonderful...its truely the first thing I have ever done for just me !!! well not just me I wanna be around for a long time for my children..one who is handicapped and needs total care....im feeling on top of the world now....I still cant lift more then 20 lbs...but Im doing so much more around home.....God Bless You Hun...

I to am waiting for my first fill...my advice is when you do see your doctor and he wants to know what your eatting has been like be totally honest about it and Id think he will fill according to that....good luck !

Stuigi ..I just came from my Dr and I was very upset 3 weeks out from banding and no weight loss..He assured me nt to worry.I told him I was really exercizing and walking lots...He said be happy I didnt gain weight then.....so hang in there...I too see the tape measure moving but not the scale...

Im still at 197.0 this morning.... seen Dr this morning he told me not to worry 3 weeks out im doing good.

As for my story I have always been over weight, and I have a identical twin sister that has always been 50 to 100 lbs smaller then me....and I always wanted to wear the things she could wear. Now Im 53 ys old and still married to my high school sweetheart 35 yrs now. We have 2 bio sons and 4 adopted sons and 1 adopted daughter ( ages range 35 to 7 )and 6 grandchildren. Last year we went on a Make A Wish vacation for one of our sons and when I seen the pictures I was agasp...It was then that I decided I wanted to be around for my children and be able to do all the things I want to with them.So far its been wonderful..my family and my twin sister have been right here helping me every day.

Hello Im 16 days post op.... Befor surgery I had lost 50 lbs just watching portion size and calories with my Drs help. On the 2 week pre diet I lost 14lbs....now since being banded I have not really lost . Maybe 3 lbs...I exersize every day walking 2 plus miles some days and tred mill 45 mins other days and doing zumba.. I get 64 0z of water in easy....I am eatting mushies and I know I eat more then a 1/2 cup at each meal...but Im making smart choices. I am starving come meal times. I dont snack between meals. Im really feeling I did so much better before being banded....In the 6 months leading up to now I always had good weight loss....I dont see the surgen till the 15...any one have any ideas.....please...
