This is already up and running. If there is a good reason why one was banded elsewhere (ie new to the area, etc). However we can't be the support group for all those not happy with their decisions to go elsewhere, we are in the business of lap band surgery, and a huge part of lap band surgery is the aftercare. Our patients know we are a band only program, pre and post-op.

Kind of gross bowel question...
JohnnyMobs replied to sherilynn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
not offensive as we all must well you know...poop That seems pretty normal to me, especially after all the liquids you have had. Hang in there and all will normalize. It really doesn't sound like infection. -
1)After proper restriction it may be years before you need another fill, but as you lose you may need a fill along the way. 2)Only if symptomatic, though we have fluro in the office and will do one ourselves at a year 3)I do not think anyone knows why/how the asline "evaporates" over time, I think the total saline in tubing and band is max 4ml in a regular 10 band and 10ml in a VG hopes this helps

thank you and best of luck to you

I am sure if calls were not returned this was because of an isolated oversite or transposition of numbers, but to infer otherwise is absolutely ridiculous. Again you should seek support groups where you got your band.

Support groups are part (a large part) of the total band package, individuals must consider this when choosing a band surgeon. The whole package is why the band is a great option. Cincinnati weight loss center does offer support groups, but why would anyone not want support from where they were banded. As more and more people are banded by surgeons who can not offer adequate aftercare this problem will continue to grow, and we Will be there to assist this underserved population.

a frequent trick of those surgeons who do both. Never ever consider the bypass, find someone who does several bands and get yours...it will be great!!!

Can anyone recomend a Doctor in Louisville?
JohnnyMobs replied to Cat804's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Jeff Allen is a lap band god...literally He is the best in Louisville...go see him -
cincinnati weight loss center has seen the light and is no longer requiring money up front, give them another try.

Ohio medicaid does not pay for the band. You do not qualify for a bypass (which it will pay for), though you would never want this.

We had our "band baby" 4 months ago....I agree you need some fluid out ASAP, and as the pregnancy progresses you will need more out. But, the great news is afterwards with refills the weight comes right back off, good luck!
