I agree with Cazzy, I am one of the poeple who HAS to exercise. I also agree with stephyanders and Mis73, it would be worth it to analyze calories, fat grams and protein grams in your diet. My doc receommends low card high protein. i have been eating about 900- 1200 calories daily. i always eat protein then veggies then allow a few carbs.

As I drank less and less diet soda, I liked it less. After a whicle it tasted really syruppy and gross. I haven't had any Diet Pepsi in months and now I can't remember what I liked about it so much! I went from 4-6 cans a day to 0 in 3 months.

Have You Ever Heard Of A Doctor Having Trouble Finding The Port?
Pollyanna12 replied to shelbymooy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
At my first fill the doc stuck the needle and said to the muse " can you believe I got this onthe first try!?!?!?". I replied, "it is probably better that you NOT say that when patients are awake and can hear you!" -
I am with bigenuff. Anywhere from 900 - 1200 a day. I track on my fitness pal and always be sure I get at least 65 gr protein - those are the days the Cal count is higher. I weigh and measure my food. I am only 6 weeks out from surgery and stol at 4 oz protein + 1/4 cup veggies for dinner. I have only had one fill so far.

Simply Thee Best Tip For Lapband Success (From A Guy Who Lost 265Lbs)
Pollyanna12 replied to marketingdude's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Great thread! I darted the journey to get my band after a major heart yo heart with my brother. He had been successfully banded 7 years prior. He said what he loved about the band saving his life was also that he no longer felt he was a slave to food. Even though he admits that he has to think more about and plan better for food! It is now that it is proactive thinking and planning instead of reacting yo emotions, hunger, etc. Best of luck yo you -

Pre Op, So Depressed
Pollyanna12 replied to Heathermarie0407's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh gosh Heathermarie, hang in there! You should be so proud of yourself for thinking through your emotions and cravings TO MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!! Good for you. After surgery you will not be able to "cheat" - your stomach and band simply won't let you! It will help put more distance between you and the sugars/caffiene you crave. -

How Much Fill Do You Have And What Kind Of Band Do You Have
Pollyanna12 replied to kr8160311's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have 4 cc in a 14 cc Allergan band. THis is after only one fill, he had put 2cc in during surgery. I am not at a sweet spot yet, but have success with small meals and staying for for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours. -
Go for the 4 days. I had surgery Tuesday and went back the next Tuesday but worked part days the rest of the week. I work at a desk but it a very stressful job. You should qualify for FMLA at your work and then I don't think they can deny you the time off.

Should I Get Lapband Removed And Do Rny Or Sleeve? Help!!
Pollyanna12 replied to nwmsfootball79's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Please check with a few docs. I hope your band is salvagable and you can Get the education and support you need. I am surprised you got the band so young! I am 45 and it has been tough work adjusting. And I am only 6 weeks in! If all docs agree the band must come out then go for whatever procedure you are comfortable with. I am sorry you have had such a rough go of it's hang in there and best of luck! -
Are you getting enough protein? If my protein is below 70 per day I could sleep for a week.
-
Buffalogyrl - me too! The treat was short but the appointment took forevrrpages and pages of questions and the report he wrote was totally "canned". Plus I thought he was rude!!
-
And things will work out! Congrats on your weight loss and boost your protein to help your hair. Good luck.

There is some great advice here! 33 is not the end of the line. I got married at 38. I never thought I would be a "married" person. I was going through some really bad times when I met my hubby. I was certainly not looking fora manthen. I swear the angels brought him yo me :-). I give youcredit for asking this guy out. I know lots of guys don'trealize how they sound. He may be very literal and said " not today" but couldn't t see past today. I am pretty forward, so next time I saw him I would say - did you meannot that day, or not ever? But that's just me. Go out there and enjoy your life. Stop loking

If the chicken is in super small pieces and youchew it like crazy, same with the noodles - it should be ok. I would go light on yhr noodles and maybe sen the soup through the blended quickly - so it is like a thick soup.

Great! Keep up whatever you are doing!!

I just had my first fill and had a similar experience. I think my stomach. has adjusted now. I know I will need to actively diet until the band gets closer to the sweet spot. Hang in there, most folks here say it can take 2-6 fills to get to the right spot.

What Size Portions Were You Eating Between Surgery And Your First Fill?
Pollyanna12 replied to Rebecca Cain Salpacka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc had me eat protein first at meals. i was doing 4 oz protein + 1/4 c vegetable - no starches. I had a fill this week and restarted 2 dy liquid, 2 day mushies. After this fill I am to continue the 4 oz, 1/4 veg and report next month on how long I stay full. I can do about 3 hours between meals, and have a FF pudding, 1/4 c cottage cheese, etc. as a mid morning and evening snack. -
Yay for you! That is so awesome. I am just 6 weeks out from surgery but love seeing the scale go down instead of up!

Anyone Using A Website Like Spark People Or My Fitness Pal?
Pollyanna12 replied to Kerra's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I swear by myfitness pal. I have never had success tracking foods by handwriting. The amount of foods in the data base are AMAZING! Also, it gives Calories, Carbs, Fat and Protein for each. I've been using it for about 3.5 months and am a creature of habit, so most of the foods I eat are on my 'recent foods' list.
