Hi all! I was reading the post in regards to being nervous before surgery. Great advise everyone. I am scheduled to be banded 3/14/07 with Dr. Singh at Albany Medical Center. My nerves are a little jangled and I was hoping it was normal. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

Hi All, at the sake of sounding un-educated on the banding, I need to know some of the slang. What is PBing and sliming? Can someone please give me a run down of the typical slang used here. Thanks.

Hi hford, welcome, I to had to follow a six month program. My Dr wanted a 10% weightloss prior to surgery, this shows you are serious about your dedication to being banded. An gets you in better shape for surgery. I worked with a nutritionist and she was fantastic, be honest with all your weaknesses, there are good tricks and advise to help you with them. I am scheduled to be banded on 3/14/07. -
Hi All, I am also being banded by Dr. Singh in Albany 3/14/07. He is at Albany Medical Center. I have only met him once, he seems very nice. The process takes about six months before approval for banding. I have heard nothing negative about him and he has done several hundred bands.

Wow things are so different from place to place. Here in NY it was a six month process of seminars, exams, nutritionist, losing 10% of weight, psych consult, etc. Very strict, any weight gain they'll cancel your surgery. Best of luck hope your process goes smoothly.

Hi everyone. I would like to know if anyone had trouble keeping their pre surgery weight off? I am scheduled for my band 3/14/07. I had to loose 21 lbs before surgery and I lost 23, but I think I'm nervous eating because I know it's coming up and I have gain 3 lbs back. Did anyone else have this problem???:omg:
