I was banded on march 13th and am down 60 lbs already ! This really was the best decision I could have ever made. I look at myself in the mirror and still don't think that it's me looking back lol . I can't Belive that everything is back to normal and to be honest I'm so used to my band that I forget that I have it sometimes lol . I can't wait to see how much more I can lose I have about 40 more to go but to be honest I don't know if I need that much more ... Im very happy with my body at this point !! I hope everyone is doing great as well !!

Hi everyone ! Just checking in , I had my surgery on march 13 and am down 35lbs since preop diet!!! Im so happy with my decision to get the band I feel amazing and am starting to look amazing and actually love working out everyday. I'm going for my second fill on Friday and can't wait to see what happens from there ! Best of luck to everyone and there success

Well after those 4 glasses iv still lost 30 lbs since my surgery not even a month ago so I'm happy. Im not going to change my whole life because Of this band . I eat healthy and work out like I should but seeing as how I'm 22 years old drinking is somethig me and my friends do and iv adapted in the choices Iv made while drinking .

It's more then fine to drink water! I have to drink 64 oz each day and when I don't I can def feel a difference in how I feel !

Before my surgery I lost 17 lbs and my bmi was under the requirement but they go off what you start at . They want you to lose weight before surgery so that your liver shirks and it's eaiser to get to the stomach . I was banded with no problem! Good luck and hope everything goes great for you !!

Don't be upset it's a big change but it def works! I was banded two weeks ago and all together with prop and after iv lost 28lbs and I haven't thrown up once . It's hard but so worth it. If your friends arnt willing to support you then maybe you should choose new ones. You have to Belive in your self before you start caring what anyone else says

I was banded on 3/13 and the doc said I could drink again if I wanted to. Went away with friends this weekend and while everyone else had what felt like about a million drinks over the course of the day and night I only had 4 and usually it would have taken me alot to get the effects but I was very content with the 4 drinks I had but just be careful and drink lots of water I was very dehydrated the next day !

I was banded the same time and I have a funny taste as well but I think it's from the protien shakes for me .. Now its hard for me to have them all the time cause of the not so nice Taste that lingers

I'm one week out also and I can't Belive it !!! I'm down 26 lbs since pro op and I can't Belive it !!! I'm in the weird state where im not hungry but I really want to eat . I have one more week on protien shakes then I can finalllly (after a month) eat reg food again !!!! I can not wait good to hear everyone is doing well !!

I wasn't giving an amount to lose but I was put on a high protien diet and lost 17 lbs before surgery and I'm 3 days post op and am down 22 lbs now ... Just had to drink 5 protien shakes and day and 2 cups of veggies it was hard but I can't believe I lost so much in 2 weeks !

Wow u started at 197 ! I wish I started at 275 ! That prob why your not losing right away but stay consistent and I'm sure it will come off !!

I'm doing pretty good ... Iv been resting alot but trying to walk as much as I can . It's just stomach soreness at this point and my shoulder pain has done away. I find tht I have bad hunger pain but I'm not hungry it's the weirdest feeling ! I go see my doc next Friday and im hoping all is well cause I'm going away next weekend !

Yea i would check that out cause I'm able to consume the shakes jello and enough liquid to keep me hydrated .. I hope everything goes well !

Did they fill your band when you got it ?

Oh and dont drink for about 20 min after you drink each shake

It's usually takes me about 30 min to drink a shake which my doc told me was normal and I take babysips! It's about 8 oz per shake. I try and drink them like I would eat a meal!

I was also banded on the 13th and have lost about 5 more lbs since getting banded but dropped 17 before the surgery so I think my body is getting used to losing weight now . But Im back on protein shakes and I have about 3 to 4 a day and some sf jello and if I drink the shakes slow they go down fine . My doc wants me to get 60 gr of protien a day! Maybe you should increase the shakes and you will start to lose. Everyones body is different and I'm sure you will start to see results soon !

How long after surgery did you guys wait to have your first drink . I'm going away next weekend for a friends birthday and wasn't sure if it was too soon I had my surgery on Tuesday and I would be just under two weeks out . I don't wanna ruin anything and I really don't need to but if one glass of wine won't kill me then why not.

I'm on my way home as well !! I think the shoulder pain is worse then the stomach pain ! But all and all I'm holding up just fine ! Can't Belive I'm banded ahhh

Tomorrow I'm on clear liquids only it's glnna be tough but I can do it ... I have not cheated on my pre op diet at all ! Im so proud of myself and am down 15 lbs. Today my bestfriend told me I looked good and could tell im losing weight ... This makes me so much more excited then iv been since starting my diet . It's hard but so worth it. I feel so much better already and am only at the beginning of my journey ! I'll update after surgery on Tuesday morning !

Only 2 more days left till I'm banded :x I'm excited and so nervious and still can't Belive it's only 2 days away !!! Good luck everyone !!!!!!!

I'm in beauty school and will be banded next week .. I took off a week I hope that's enough time !

I'm on my 8th day of pre op diet which consists of 4 to 5 shakes a day 2 cups of veggies and all the crystal light and low sodium broth I want. At first it was just about the worst thing in the world but now at day 8 and 12 lbs thinner its not so bad and to be honest I'm not that hungry anymore ! My surgery is one week from today and I'm so excited and so ready !
