JennyBee replied to MummyMeagan's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
So funny... Mine tells me the same exact thing.. "your gonna leave us aren't you"..... He also says it jokingly, but it hurts my feelings a little that he would even think that!! I would never ever leave my beautiful 6 and 2 year olds...I just want them to have a skinny sexy mommy and j want my hubby to see that thin woman he fell in love with 13 years ago!!!!! -
1St Fill Soon....will Food Change?
JennyBee posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good Sunday morning to all!! Quick question, I am just about 1 month post op and thankfully have not had 1 single problem with any food I've tried to this point..( last night had 1/2 homemade turkey burger very cautiously and went down great) Now, I have not had my 1st fill yet... Question is, just because I can eat it now with no fill doesn't necessarily mean I will be as lucky after fills? Or does the food that I can eat now generally remains my friend after fills? Any advice? Experiences? Thanks! -

Clothes: What Should I Wear Home Immediately After Surgery?
JennyBee replied to ElizabethAnne's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wore one of my husbands t-shirts and jogging pants... The comfier the better, as you might be wearing it the rest of the evening when you go fast asleep -
Hi Sophiesmom... Congrats on your success! I was actually quite happy when I stepped on the scale this morning, another 2 pounds gone. WHEW! Are you exercising? What does a day of eating look like for you?

What Does Being "stuck" Feel Like?
JennyBee posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi everyone!! Since I am a new bandster and still in the mushy phase, I have no idea what a "stuck" episode feels like... What signs and symptoms should I be aware of? -
Hi all!! I too started w/ low bmi...31. Today marks 3 weeks since my surgery and have lost 11 pounds... A little frustrating bc the scale has not moved in 1 whole week!! I am also following drs orders on eating religiously! Dont get it? I get my 1st fill on the 19th... I also eat about 1 cup of food at each meal, mostly healthy protein. Anyone else a little frustrating? I'm sure it's too soon to start stressing out:) any suggestions???
-
Hi all:) When is it ok to have a drink? I'm 3 weeks post op and just wondering.....when can I have my very missed little glass of wine?? Lol
-
Are lean cuisines a good serving size for when I can start eating "real food?" They are convenient, mostly healthy, and seem to be a nice, small serving size?
-
My Dr office will do my first fill no charge, ( I was self pay so I'm sure I payed for it somewhere) and each additional fill is $250... Is this reasonable? Anyone else paying for fills each time they go? Do insurrances cover them? (just curious)

Any South Florida Peeps??
JennyBee replied to JennyBee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What a coincidence!! Well to me he is amazing doctor, but I kinda feel that he is always in a rush!! The good thing he has always been on time, so no ling waits. The surgery went great, minimal pain in belly but AWEFUL gas pain for nearly 3 weeks... That left shoulder was a killer. I am on mushies right now, keeping everything down thankfully;) I wish you luck with your upcoming surgery, hope your experience is as wonderful as mine has been. -
OMG very true. A couple hundred for a little salt water! Lol Oh well, it's like magic salt water!!

Likewise neighbor! It's funny, I have not met one single person who has been banded!! Lol I've lost 11 thus far and get 1st fill the 19th... Hope weight comes off faster! Do you have a surgery date? -
Hi luvbug... Im in mushies myself and have gotten many good ideas from fellow bandsters... Such as: Retried beans, mashed sweet potatoes, ricotta cheese, cream of anything soups, canned carrots(theyre super soft), oatmeal, pudding, yogurt, chicken/tuna/egg salad pureed in food processor, Greek frozen yogurt, and I'm still looking for new ideas! Hope this helps;)
