I had my surgery on January 7th, 2009. My surgeon was Dr. Derek Weiss at Bluegrass Bariatrics. I lost 30 pounds in the 1st six months. Since then I have gradually added back about 15 pounds. Now that is very depressing. I have had my band tightened 4 times and reduced twice and am going back to have it all taken out to start over again. It appears I did best when there was no fluid in the band. I have trouble with food getting stuck - usually when I eating meats or a pasta. I would like to say I exercise but I don't. I walk my dogs about 1 to 2 miles a day.
