Good luck to all of you... I was banded on June 1st and I am already feel great today.. the toughest day was the second day at night but after that I almost back to normal... I even start feel hungry but I am stick with the liquid diet to give my stomach time to heal... I am already down more than 14 pounds 10 pounds pre ops diest and 4 post ops...

Greattttttttttt when was ur Surgery?!!

Dont worry I was so nervious I was not sleeping for almost a week... I never been under general anestiasa before.. was keep saying why I shall rish my health and my life.. even I cried infront of the doc and my blood pressure was 120/ 38 as I was so scared and I told him I want to go back to my kids... and now I feel great I did the surgery 3 days ago and I am already up and going everywhere and I am down 4 pounds... plus 10 pounds before suregery so in total 14 pounds.. dont worry belive me if I did it u ll..

Hi all A quick update today I wake up with pain on my both shoulders and sore on my stomach I tried to manage without pain killers as I am breastfeeding but I couldn’t.. half an hour from the pain killer medication I am feeling great and walking all over the place to get rid from the gas and again I was expecting that it will be worse than that but thanks God not too bad and manageable especially with the medication… I am able to get up and down on my own no issues…I started a cup of soup very nice especially finally I have some salty taste after the two weeks sweaty and cold protein shake and also drink half cup of cranberry juice which tastes great and no issues thanks God.. You will all be fine don’t worry..

Good for you... me to I am up now walking allover just waiting 48 hrs to make sure that everything is good...

hii i am done wz the surgery today I went by 8:30 am out by 12:30pm .. was so scared but it went fine and the pain is mangable so far let us see how tom.. Good luck for all and belive me if I made it u will for sure 1st I have a very hight totarance to pian that I can feel pain easly if I go to teh dentisy just for cleaning I spend 2 days suffer from pain in my teeth 2nd I never been in any suegrey in my whole life I was so scard I even cried infront of the doc today and I told him I want to go back to my kids on my foot as I came here on my foot.. SO u will all be fine belive me... I will kepp u posted regarding my pain.. Good luck for all of you

Mine is tom morning at 9am I will be there by 8 I am so scared.. I hope tom will not come now.. time run so fast.... I will keep you all posted how it goes

I am doing good with the preops diet... Actually yetserday I was so full at night that I couldnt take my third shake.. does anyone have the same issue?!! so you think I have to take the 3 shakes ( a must I mean).. for me 2 days to go.. VERY SCARED.....

But just a question why they dont wnat to band you with the thyriod not under control?

Hi, I do have thyriod issue and it normally takes from 3 to 6 months to adjust the level

I decided to postpond mine as I am breastfeeding and when I researched I chooce not to go ahead now till I am done with teh BF.. However all Feb banded will give me a push as I will see how much to achive and will keep saying I missed it.. I am planning to have it around April or May.. Hi all it is me again.. I just have a question regarding the clinic.. when I had the consltation I have been told that I can fill unfill as much as I need for lifetime.. then within the contract that they send me to sign there are two things that I am not sure of 1st that they r availabe for support for 5 years and adjustment is subject be be chageged.. yes it is for free for 5 years still they have the right to charge us.. second then it is not a liftime adjustment and after care support then it is only 5 years 2nd they said that the revision and complication of the surgery is covered by OHIP as is for today.. okay since I am in the medical feild I know that regulations keep changing everyday in the heath ssytem so if later it is not covered what will happen?!! Anyone can help me on those two things?!

Hi all just wnated to thank all of your posts as I was planning to have the suegery with Dr Colburn in Feb 15th then I postpond it as I am breastfeeding and I decided I will do it when I am done with teh breastfeeding.. So I am glad that I came across this post for more engouragment...

Hi I reported previoulsy that I will be banded Feb 15th.. however after doing some researchs I decided to move it to later as I am breastfeeding now and I am afarid that this will affect my baby.. anyway I think u ll all engourage me to go ahead and do it ASAP.. Good luck to all of you..

Hi alltoday is my first day of the liquid diet and I am just wondering if this diet is a high protin low carb diet as I am breastfeeding and I am afreid that this kind of diet will harm my baby. Thanks

Hi Jess55 Yes, this was first and almost my only concern with my surgeon however he said no problem at all.. He said that I even have better chance to lose weight because of breastfeeding… and as today is my first day in my pre ops diet I was afraid from this diet… I am not afraid that my milk supply will go down what I am afraid of is that my milk will harm my baby..

thanks.. mine called slimtime from Canada.. I start fear this diet with breastfeeding to the extend that I am thinking to postpond the surgery till I am done with the breastfeeding..

Thanks for your feedback.. I know it is an old post but I have a 2 month old baby and I am going to be banded Feb 15th,, the doc said no issues but I wanted to see women experiance so u engouraged me that it will not be a big problem.. thank you
