Hi Everyone, I am A woman who has been struggling with weight issues for the last 12 years of my life and I finally decided to do something about my weight issues after being Diagnosed with Cardiomyopathy in December 2007! It took at least 4 years for me to have acceptance for what happened to me in order for me to even loose weight on my own. It has been one of the most Horrible but yet life changing times in my life after loosing my dad at the age of (34 in 1985) & My brother at the age of (31 in 2002) also from Heart Diseases!
The ultimate wake up call for me! I'm far from my goal weight but I'm on my way. I decided to get the surgery because I feel like everything I tried I failed, I'm usually successful at everything I do but weight loss, It's so challenging. I'm in the process right now of trying to find support and stay consistent on this journey. I have been doing this all alone since I got the surgery in December 2011 and that's not getting me anywhere. I see my Nutritionist and Keep my regular appointments like I should but yet it's still a struggle.
I hope to benefit from Bariatric Pal by getting support and sharing anything about my journey to also help others in anyway I can. I'm to the point as to where I want to make this journey my lifestyle. I'm grateful to have found this Support and Look forward to meeting many people on here who can share my similar experience.
