i have one more day of this pre surgery diet and im so hungry im ready to catch one of the squirrels in the back yard and grill it .....i have to say it has been some tough 2 weeks for me ...the shakes and the broth im so done with it for now but i know it will continue another 2 weeks but i hope that the first couple days after surgery wont be so bad . but i believe it doesnt matter what kind or brand of shakes u buy they all turn nasty after a certain time ....

i bought the one from CVS PAIN RELIEF ADULT LIQUID its the same as tylenol

the GNC 100% whey protein powders are pretty good ! .....

My surgery is on monday , and sofar i surprised myself by how good i did on this liquid diet the last 11 days ...but today i just wanna eat something, i just cant get satisfied on these shakes and chicken broth. I know i got only 3 more days to go through but today im hungry !!!! well tomorrow i will get my surgery time for monday maybe that give me another boost......

Nope just 3 shakes a day , broth or eggdrop soup, sf jello , 1 sugar free pudding , and 1 low carb yogurt a day oh and sf popsicles but i do not eat ice at all..... i asked the doctor at the pre op for veggies cause i seen others post it but i was told No ...

Thanx ....lol...i like liver ....i feel in the evening it hits me the most,since im sittng here watching tv ...just a cracker or 2 would make my day :wub:

I have 3 more days of this lovley diet ...and i think today is my worst day ....i just stay hungry .....i really hope that the 2 weeks after surgery will be easier ....the shakes are already pushing my taste buds to the limit now....

There is so many options to choose from, i went with the 100% whey shakes and out of every shake i tried, they are the best to me and i dont feel hungry...i have also tried Isopure but it tastes like i have a mouth fullof dirt when i drink that ....i just went to the mall and they had a GNC stand with all kinds of yummy shakes but i asked the guy for a simple vanilla 100% whey shake so i had lunch at the mall without cheating :wub:

Im on day six of my the 14 day liquid diet .....and the shakes already start tasting nasty there is no fruit or lean cuisine in my diet, only shakes and broth and of course sf jello and one carb master yogurt a day ....i think the chicken broth or egg drop soup has saved me ( and my husband ) sofar. He got to put up with my crappy mood when they in the kitchen cooking and smelling up the house ....8 days to go till surgery i hope i can do it without cheating ....

In the infomation sheet we got it said u must be smoke free for 4 weeks before surgery and in the pre op class they told us that too ...i dont smoke anymore so i wasnt worried about it but i thought 4 weeks is a long time

My doctor said too, with the band there will be no dumping .....i guess there is ?

well my day 4 went ok ....i had my pre op app. today it was very quick in and out .Everything is fine and i guess im ready ....10 more days on this diet left and i know it wont be no walk in the park but i will make it .... i find it very hard to get 3 shakes down a day .and the sf jello too,i cant stand the sweetnes of it ....... i dont do sf popsicles cause i dont eat anything ice never have , ....love the broth tho its saving my day

Yes they are pretty dusty when u bite them i should have went with the cinnamon once cause the Wild cherry is not the best ....i might just reorder....and try the caramel chews

They had one right before the support group meeting yesterday .....

I use the once from GNC 100% Whey Protein Shakes they are pretty good, i have chocolate/caramel ,vanilla , and bananacream .....i went to a protein tasting yesterday and i tasted some nasty once ....yuck there was another one thats called NECTAR Protein drink the Fruity kind was pretty good too, everything else wasn't for me .

how re the cinnamon once ? i might have to reorder cause the wild cherry once a re really sweet too and i just started them ...

I m on day 3 of the pre op diet its not easy but i hope i can make it without cheating ....since i have been struggeling with the gerd and gastritis for over nine months, i had to cut down on things i eat ,a while back ...about 2 weeks ago i started cutting down on carbs and then i stopped eating rice ,potatos and pasta. I just had problems staying away from bread ....but i have to say pre op diet seems to be a bit different from doctor to doctor ..i can only have protein shakes , sf jello, sf popsicles and one sf pudding and one carbmaster yogurt per day i did find out i can have egg drop soup and i really think thats whats saving me sofar ....but it also helps to know if u mess up and dont stick to the diet they will no do the surgery

yeah thats the once ....i got Watermelon for the multivitamins and Wild Cherry for the calcium once .....they did take a little over 2 weeks to get to me they ran out ....so i had to wait a little ....

Im having surgery on the 19th and i was told to start taking 2 multivitamis a day and (3x 500) calcium citrate with vitamin D. I started these 3 days ago with the liquid diet ...I ordered the chewable once for Lapband patients the vitamins are HUGE and they dont taste to good either..(oh well) they did tell us not to take no children vitamins .I also get a B12 shot every month but i had that started 6 months ago cause it was very low .....

im sorry to hear u still in pain but i m sure it will get better soon !!
