Saw my surgeon yesterday and started my protein shake diet today. Surgery in 14 days!!! I'm so pumped up!!!! True Results has their own shakes and so far the chocolate one on ice is pretty good but I can tell its heavy on my stomach, blah... Lol Good luck to all the February Bandsters!!!

Lol I have a couple of new jeans I had bought and couldn't wear cause they were my goal jeans. Well let's just say they are now 2 sizes too small from when I bought them, they are my inspiration. "I bought you and darn you I'm going to wear you!!" And then pass you on and get smaller jeans then that. My heart is in this I don't want to keep going sizes up and packing away the clothes I'm too big for. I want to lose the weight and inches and get rid of the big girl clothes as soon as they get baggy. It's just my anxieties getting the best of me that's keeping me from eating and being able to stomach anything. I'm a single mom of 3. Stressing over the surgery, healing post op, and being able to still take care of their needs. Thankful to have this site as a reminder that im not alone.

I am so nervous about the surgery that I'm not able to eat, I'm just not hungry at all now, I even feel sick after I force myself to eat. Since my initial consult on 1/19 I've lost 8 lbs. I don't start my pre-op shake diet til next week. Wondering if I'll be able to tolerate it. I see the surgeon on 2/06 and surgery is 2/21.

My manager is giving me the run around about getting the days off I need to have my surgery. Legally she can't ask me what the surgery is for but since it's not "emergency surgery" she's pushing me to push my date back for a week or two later. My patient advocate said she could move my date to 2/21. Feel cheated. Has anyone else had this situation. Also she said for me to fill out an FMLA request. I'm in Texas does anyone know if it something I can do since it's elective surgery and not a recurrent or chronic issue??? SO CONFUSED...

I start liquid diet on Monday too. And surgery is on 2/14. So nervous about it all. Where do you live kiss me?

I just had my nutritionist consult today and he went over the pre-op diet and the reasons for it. My understanding is its more to benefit the surgery than us, to shrink the liver down since it is laying in front of the stomach. It is to keep the liver from being swollen or bloated and making it harder for the surgeon to place the band properly. I hope that helps.

Hi... I just went to my 2nd appt today 1/26 and found out that all my testing is done and all I need is the final sign off for surgery clearance. Quicker turn around time then I ever thought possible, my 1st consultation/appt was just last week 1/19... Since I'm not going thru the trouble of going thru my insurance they said I was open to get the surgery done as soon as I like... So I am now a February Bandster... I meet with the surgeon 2/6. I chose to give this to myself as the grandest Valentine's gift any woman could give herself <3 my surgery date will be Feb 14th <3
