:car::clap::car::car::car::car::car: Come one - come all to Red Robin (on the corner of Yosemite and Arapahoe, just west of I25 and Arapahoe) on September 11 at 7 pm. Please respond if you are coming so we get enough seats! :car::car::car::car::car::car::car::car::car: Now for a more regular post! Hi guys! lap - you are making progress, when was the last time that you were so acutely aware of binging because of your feelings. Seeing it, feeling it, acknowledging it - you are healing. What beautiful pics. I wanna cute guy like that! Amazing, I didn't say the cake, which was beautiful. mal - I haven't heard much lately. Are you ok? You were very stressed, me too. I think it is season of stress and money woes. Hope you are there tomorrow, I wanna a hug. woofay - ok girl, you will be well on the way to being "fixed" when you read this. Hope it was smooth and easy. I expect to see you at Red Robin. Mare - come on girl, you need to get out. It isn't about the food, it is about the companionship and going "public" that you are commited to your health. I'd personally love to meet you. ( PS - I usually get soup because it goes down easier when I am excited and talking a lot. I think I swallow too much air when I talk and gulp.) All the rest of you out there - please come, this support only works if you show up. Hugs Michelle -

wanttobemeagain - no, you are not posting too much. Don't worry about the preop weight loss. It is really important that you follow the diet carefully for your liver to shrink. The "diet" isn't about weight loss. Ok girls - we are on for Tuesday - September 11th at Red Robin (Arapahoe and I25) at 7 pm. Be there. My day is ok, nothing busted, nothing dripped, nothing gurgled up, nothing sprayed and the IRS is still on it. What else can I say? Hugs and see you Tuesday, Michelle -

HI Rosey - I am happy to answer any questions you have had, just PM me. sometimes, things are meant to be and you and Dr. K sound like a match. He talks really fast because he goes through the whole thing over and over. It's ok to ask him to slow down, explain what he means, etc. He is really nice. Also use the information on the website. It gives great information about general stuff. Woofay - are you ready??? Will you come on Tuesday? I'll have to cancel if you and Mal aren't there. Drews we expect to see you on your skates! or at least in uniform. Hugs to all you newbies and gonna be banded soon. I think it would be great to have you coordinate your fills with Red Robin. This month we are meeting on Tuesday, but find a day that works and we'll try for it in October or November. Come anyway. Woofay comes from the springs each time. Michelle -

Hi all- I had the instant fill restriction when I had my 3rd fill. I couldn't tell at the docs, and since the 2nd fill missed the port, we can't exactly go by amounts. I hear you BJean, I wasn't so aware that the fill process was so inexact. I was disappointed at first, but I guess you just have to keep trying and look at the lifestyle changes that you have made that are good for your health. My appetite still fluctuates based on stress and triggers. I loved the article on the child, parent and adult. I will see if I can find that link and post it for all of you emotional eaters. Probably all of us, how can we get over 50 and be struggling with a basic 0 - 5 age phenomena "give me". I think we are really brave - heros to be confronting this here and now! -

wanttobe- You'll be ok. Just do it for your liver. A little cheat won't kill you. A big cheat like lots of fries and bread might make him go in there and close you up saying he can't do surgery. marcy - I know just what you mean about being hungry like that. I have taken to drinking a protein shake in between meals to stave off hunger. I kinda forget to eat until I am ravenous and we all know how yucky that feels to down two bites then PB or get the giant hurt in the chest. It pisses me off, there is a part of eating hearty that I miss. Ok guys - how about hearing from you if you are going to meet at Red Robin???? Drews??? Mal???? Woofay???? All other Denver area Bandsters???? come on have fun with us. Hugs, Michelle -

It is wonderful to have a place where people understand me. Thanks for being you. About the slow weight loss, you know there is a reason we are obese, it isn't only poor eating habits, lack of exercise, etc. I am amazed how "little" I can eat and not lose weight. So now, I am eating my 1200 - 1300 calories every day and exercising. I lose a pound or so every two weeks. I figure I can starve, but that puts me on a binge cycle that is destructive. So I am just "doing it my way." Best to all, Michelle -

mare - I think that moving with exercise will help you weight loss. My first fill was wild, he poked and I spurted blood that hadn't been absorbed post surgery. the good thing was my belly no longer was a balloon, I did have a big black and blue. No one else on here has said they had that experience, so don't worry. The hardest thing for me when I get a fill is to figure out when it is enough. Drews said the same thing. I do think I am at an optimum level right now. I have to eat slowly and in small quantities. I'm not perfect yet, but am learning new eating behaviors. Woofay - sorry about the camera. Jealous about the concert and fun. You rock girl. I think you are very brave getting a local, but you know you'll fell better so much faster this way. Are you going to be in Parker? Mal - I am wallowing here too. Soo much trouble and expense. I did look at the double rainbow tonight and thought, "you know everything will be ok." Believe it! Hugs to all you bandsters, to be bandsters, and thinkers Michelle -

I found that each fill had it's own reaction. Nothing too awful. My third fill hit the money. I am restricted tightly and have to be careful to chew and eat slowly. I thought about an unfill, but decided not to as I have adjusted my eating. Best wishes all of you that are just beginning your journey. The band is a tool. Weight loss is work, but this time you won't regain if you are properly filled. yeah! Michelle -

LSzeliga - good luck with your surgery! It will go well, you can count on Dr. K., if you have been following your preop diet closely. Taynuh & Littleroo - good luck tomorrow! Wow! I can't believe your day is here. ARe you ready? It will be a good decision and you will recover well. I have had a crazy day. Just istening to the wood floor dryer is making me nuts. It sounds like a small jet engine, that high pitched hum with blowing noises. It is working slowly. We are day 4 of trying to dry things out. My audit gathering is going pretty well. Last night I was up until 12 am working on recreating my life of 2004. I hope whoever is responsible for pulling my number has a lousy night's sleep too. Hugs and best wishes all, Michelle -

NM Sunshine - Thank you for the wonderful support about the audit. I am organizing everything into a notebook that my preparer gave me. I think I didn't really write everything down in the original, so I very well may come out ok. The IRS is after my preparer, but dropped charges against him, and now are trying to come at him "through the backdoor" (his clients). However, nothing I wrote was "illegal" just pushing the usual limits for a teacher. It is really hard to recreate my 2004 year, as I threw away my planner/scheduler. But I have details like check copies and charge card bills. So, with some work, I'll be ok. Lap, - you take such gorgeous photos. Loved seeing the "family." Have a wonderful day off. I have lost another 2 pounds, I think the sheeeet hitting the proverbial fan has let me lose some. Three to go to get to 40. About the house, all is dry now, the bathroom needs new floorboards and retiling, the ceiling in the dining room needs resheetrocking and then texturizing, then painting. The insurance should cover everything but a $500 deductible. The backed up sewer was a separate event, that I paid for out of pocket so the insurance adjuster doesn't get confused and think I need two $500 deductibles. Whew! the happy news is that I am still breathing. Hugs and smiles, Michelle Hugs all, Michelle -

wantob - My son is at UCCS (University of Colorado - colorado Springs). It is one of the state's best kept secrets, a CU level university with a small campus and great instructors. I really appreciated what you said to Lap about releasing toxins, waste, realizing boundaries, no longer cocooning in the food dillerium (sp??? but a great word). All you people that are getting banded or filled - best wishes. Dr. K will do a great job for you. I wish you well. Keep us posted. Notice -Our next Red Robin meeting is on the 11th at 7 pm. -

Lap - Thanks for the cheer. To top it all off I got an tax audit notice in the mail today. It's my first one ever. Oh, it is full of sheeeeeet, just like my basement! I then had to pull my stomach off the ground and realize, no one died, it is just money and I have an accountant that seems to be going through a lot of these, but he'll support me through the process. Anyway. Thanks for the TP and sympathy. My son thanks you for the BD wishes. He's 20, growing up quickly. He came up from the Colorado Springs for the afternoon and for dinner, then he returned right away, because he can go camping with friends. I miss him, but am happy he is happy. My remodel is almost done, the rennovation crew left these big heating unit fans, that operate at a high pitch for the next three days. Ugh! Then the adjuster will come. And my remodel crew will be able to fix everything that the water ruined. All the floor time. the sub floor, the dining room ceiling and my hard wood floors. Thank God we were home! Hugs to all, Michelle -

Kacee - I'm with you. Plastic surgery is a good choice after we have stablized our weight. I would want it even if I had never been heavy. My neck bothers me the most, i am hoping I can avoid a lot of body surgery, but I will see what is possible with my trainer guiding me to develop a better muscular base than I ever had. Amazing to get with it at 57. Hugs and best wishes, Michelle -

I was able to go home a couple of hours after the surgery. I think I could puke at home or at the hospital. Smile. I react to the anathesia, no matter what. The suspositories were imperative. My docs post diet was 1 -3 days liquids 2 - 7 days mushies and whatever after that. He doesn't believe in a too restrictive diet. It worked for me. My body told me what I could tolerate. The real band work started after getting filled a couple of times. I imagine you will need to follow your docs orders, because they know your case best. Best wishes, Michelle
