Premier Protein shakes available at costco have 30 g of protein/160 cals per shake. very tasty. And Oh Yeah! has tons of low sugar high Protein Shakes, available at luckyvitamin.com and the Vitamin Shoppe -
are you feeling satisfied after eating a few bites, or are you feeling discomfort and pain? If its not pain, then I wouldn't assume that you have a slipped band.

This is a new one and I cant believe Im about to say this ... but what about exercising when youre feeling hungry? Take a walk or bike ride? Hit the gym? And like the others said, drink some Water or eat some low calorie fruit (melon?) -

good rule Guy .... I noticed after my last fill that i dont tolerate bread like I used to. I may start to eat a sandwich and after the first bite I feel how heavy that chewy doughy bread is in my chest ... and I just eat the meat and cheese only and go on about my way ... -
Watery Mouth and Foam
Sunshyne068 replied to dramastarr's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It sounds like you were "sliming" which is what happens when something is stuck, the mouth waters and foams trying to lubricate your passages to get the blocked out. I would stay away from carbonated beverages - did you Dr say it was ok to have soda? A lot of ppl here say their Dr and Nut. take it out of their diet completely. If this keeps happening you can stand upright with yoru hands over your head and walk around for a little while to see if it subsides. I suggest you call your Dr and see if he wants you to come in. -

ice pops, frozen pops, etc etc. Any type of cream soup was a savior for me. I would put it in my bullet blender to make sure if it hand anything in it (like cheddar broccoli) that I could drink it without any problems. Peach tea ... tomato bisque soup. strained lobster bisque soup (costo brand). -
My fiance' and I are attending 2 parties on July 6. One of which is a WHITE PARTY .... uggggg the most unflattering color to someone trying to lose weight and watch their figure. So I'm setting a small goal for myself ... I want to lose 5 lbs in the next 10 days ... let's see if i can make this happen.

Well ... I weighed in at 242 this week ... down from 247 from the week before .... the reason was simple ... I took in less calories than I expended .... not because I watched what I ate or because I went to the gym a lot ... but because I fell into a DEEP DEPRESSION because my fiance' and I had had one of the WORST arguments/fights/spats/issues in the entire course of our 4 year relationship. I couldn't eat, could barely sleep, I didnt get out of bed for like 36 hrs unless it was to go to the bathroom or to get something to drink. It was horrible, and even though I tried to force myself to eat I still didn't get more than 500 calories a day for about 4-5 days. It was a nightmare mentally and emotionally, but the smallest tiny part of me was happy that the scale was moving. It let me know that my scale isnt broken. My ability to eat less food isnt totally gone. Now my fiance' and I are making up and working things out and back on track and my appetite is back. I haven't looked at the scale but I'll fill you guys in when I do.

Well .... In a previous post I mentioned that I usually don't feel the restriction of my fills immediately. It takes 2-3 weeks then out of nowhere I start to feel that restriction and I have to alter how I eat ... Well my last fill was May 30 and I was discouraged for several reasons: 1. I had been losing weight at a FABULOUS pace from Feb-Mar ... but I had some sever acid reflux issues and I got an unfill. 2. Because of the unfill I gained about 7-8 lbs ... 3. I went back and got GRADUAL fills, so I still wasnt at my prior level of restriction ... I gained 2-3 more lbs ... 4. Got this last most recent fill and I'm back where I was before as far as cc's in my band ... I think I actually have 0.25 more than I had before ... which is great EXCEPT I didn't feel the same. I felt like I could eat anything ... Welp ... on June 14 (14-15 days after my fill) ... It came back! I actually started to subconsciously feel the triggers and started pushing away my plates much sooner than before. This is important to me bc its one thing to feel a trigger and have to force myself to stop eating because I still feel hunry, or because Ive reached 1.5 cups of food and I know I shouldnt eat anymore ... its ANOTHER thing to actually feel somewhat satisfied and just stop eating with playing mind games with myself about why I should put the fork down ... SO this week I feel optimistic ... I feel like I am back in my happy place or somewhat near it and I can go for hours and hours without eating or obsessing about food. I can be satisfied with 1 cup of food and not be upset inside because I want to eat more. I am very excited for what's instore this summer, as I just want to be able to lose 5 lbs a month and see some changes in my body <fingers crossed - prayers going up>

My nutritionist is like President Obama, I can never get in touch with her. I have to call and leave several messages and speak with her assistant etc etc. I exercise 3X a week about 90 mins per session. My menu is posted on MFP (user name Sunnyhoney11)
