Hi, my name is Sharon. I am 42 years old and have been overweight for my whole life. In about 2006 when I was about 28 years old. I decided to do the Lapband starting weight was 295 before the surgery. I lost over 100lb and after 9.5 years of waiting, I finally had my son. After my son was born my band just never worked properly. I tighten it and throw up everything I would loosen and gain weight and was always hungry. After enough time of dealing with the up and downs I decided to back, I went back to my doctor and asked him what I should do. He suggested the Gastric Sleeve. I first had to have my lap band removed which I had done in October of 2013. I had the sleeve done in May of 2014. I first of all for 6 weeks was in tremendous pain. Every step hurt and nothing over the counter worked. I didn't want to take anything stronger since I had to go back to work. I was also hungry quite early and didn't seem to get satisfied. I have done some diets with minor success. I still have tons of weight to lose and am now going for the SIPS to see if that could help me lose weight and feel better. I need more help then just diet can give. I want this to help me control my portions and I will continue to diet to make sure that I lose as well.
