If I understood the question right, you don't have the job yet and are wondering if you should tell them before they hire you. My answer is a resounding "No." Take the job if offered and then put in for leave for the surgery.

[ It's good to hear how you have done. I'm glad all went well. -
How soon before chlorine/swimming?
notime replied to shelbyschroepfer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At my one month exam, my doctor took a look at my completely healed incisions and cleared me for swimming and water aerobics. I wouldn't have done it without him looking at the incisions and approving. -
I was encouraged to walk, walk, walk from the time of the surgery on and was cleared for any exercise at four weeks. I work out with a personal trainer twice a week, do water aerobics three times a week and use a treadmill at home every day. I, too, would have had a hard time getting myself to go to the gym very often, but the appointments with the personal trainer make me adhere to a schedule, the water aerobics exercise is fun and the treadmill is in my office reminding and pushing me to get on it.

At first, water tasted metallic and that was tough because water had been my go to drink before surgery. After about four months it started tasting wonderful again.

Capacity and healing

I must have missed that and I don't see how it could be unless I am misunderstanding. My experience was that at first, because my stomach was swollen, I could hold less food and I felt full with less food. As the stomach healed, I was able to eat more and more. -
I slept on my back in the hospital. I was there for two nights. After I went home I slept on my side.

That's how it was for me.

Your plan is fine, just make sure the calcium is calcium citrate.

I also have four scars and they are miniscule. I suppose if I were a swimsuit model they would concern me

Are you going to the hospital alone?
notime replied to FindingElise's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't think it necessary to have someone with you. I was pretty much sleeping except for those periods when I took walks. I think it is more important to have someone around when you get out of the hospital. As far as your belongings go, each hospital has a way of keeping track of and securing those. My experience has been that the belongings do not follow you from step to step. If you are concerned about how your particular hospital does this, ask your surgeon's office or call the hospital directly. -

Consider Gas X strips to help with the belching. -
It won't be long before this is behind you. Keep reminding yourself this is a blip on the timeline of life.

Given your past posting and this one, perhaps your self respect is unwarranted.

Because you like to read, join a book club or even two or three. It will force you to read more and provide social situations that aren't food oriented. I agree with Nicolanze about the cleaning idea. It is rewarding and diversionary.

Tips to regain strength?
notime replied to May142013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you're right that you aren't getting the nutrition you need to have energy. Time and progression along the diet are your friends. Have you tried plain Greek yogurt and Jello with protein powder in it (add it to the Jello powder)? My nutritionist considered yogurt and Jello to be fluids. Sorry I don't have more suggestions. -
It's time to call your doctor. Not one of us is qualified to diagnose your problem and it is of concern that it happened after two months.
-
Have you spoken to a counselor about this? It might help pinpoint the cause of the problem.

Incision possibly infected?!?

Call your surgeon and see how they tell you to treat it. What about your primary care physician? He/she may be willing to see you. -
Please someone help me!

Have you researched the effects of hypothyroidism? If it is not treated, it can increase your cholesterol levels and make you more likely to have a heart attack or stroke. During pregnancy, untreated hypothyroidism can harm your baby. I have been on synthroid for years. I am steadily losing weight. -
Have you checked the forum for food and nutrition?

Hernia repair + Sleeve
notime replied to chasaty379's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry for your experience. I had a hernia repair, too, but, fortunately for me, had no gas pains whatsoever. -
how many calories should I be having at 3 months out.
notime replied to Fair2bslimLady's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't know how many you should be eating, but my doctor has set 800 calories for women and 1200 for men as his standard. -

Congratulations! -
Nothing except surgery will help with that problem, I'm afraid.
