Cotton socks and your own pillow. I also brought my iPod to help with the anxiety I was feeling.

Even after you reach the green zone you shouldn't have any problems swallowing a birth control pill. So, I wouldn't worry about that. Its small enough to go through with ease. As the. Previous post stated, I've never had any issues swallowing any pills and I take huge capsules.

Post Surgery: Why Am I Seeing More And More Surgeons Put Saline In The Band At The Time Of Surgery?
lillieb53 replied to marketingdude's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded in the US and my surgeon also added 3cc at the time of surgery. But I'm sorry to report that you still go through bandster hell. At least I did. -
The shoulder pain is likely from gas, so those pain medications will do nothing for that type of pain. Try a product with simethicone, like GasX or an equivalent. Also, hot tea and a lot of walking worked best for me.

Latin Food Questions

Hopefully you will still be able to eat the things you enjoy as I am, just in smaller portions. Life would not be complete without good Mexican/Latin food -
Latin Food Questions
lillieb53 replied to sharklove82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat tamales often. I eat 2 or 3 and then I'm more than full. I've had no problems getting them down. -
I'm on my 4th fill and I can still swallow the gelcaps with no problem.

That 0.5 cc can help tremendously. If liquids are going down fine after the unfill And you're not having a lot of belching you should be fine. I wouldn't skip to solids until you're supposed to.

Almost 2 Weeks & Not Full
lillieb53 replied to Fat_Librarian's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I hate to be the bearer or bad news but, unless you're one of the lucky few, you won't feel any restriction after the first fill. It took me 3 fills before I felt anything and I could still eat two cups without any stuck episodes or PBing. I'm currently on fill 4 and actually get full after 1& 1/2 cups. Hopefully the next fill will get me into the green zone. Just hang in there! It won't be overnight but, it will come. -
My Stomach Literally Broke Open
lillieb53 replied to model's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not sure about your particular case of course but, I do know for sure that a surgery can be performed to replace a port and tubing without removing the band from the stomach. My surgeon, Dr Kenneth Hollis, of Houston, TX, USA does port replacements. Not sure what he would say about one that was placed in Mexico. Good luck! -
Full, Yet Hungry?
lillieb53 replied to Fat_Librarian's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you're just one day post op you should be on all liquids. In the liquid stage the 30 minute rule is null. Liquids are liquids. It's ok to drink as often and constant as you wish. Hydration is important for overall health and healing. So is protein. It's hard to get them both in right after surgery but, do your best. Congratulations and much success and your journey! -
My surgeon did also of the band, hernia, barium swallow and various organs.

Paintballing With The Band

You may want to consult with your md before mounting that pack on your back. At 4 weeks I was still on restriction and couldn't carry/lift more than 25 lbs. -
Paintballing With The Band

I have no input when it comes to the high impact physical activity but, as far as the constant hydration you shouldn't have a problem. I gulp down 32 oz of water all the time with no issues. Water flows right through the band and unless you've just eaten prior to drinking nothing obstructs it. Good luck with your game!
