I had antibiotics in my IV.. Idk but its nastyy! lol

To be honest.. I did not even follow a diet.. Bad, I know.. when i went to the doctors each month I would just make sure I stayed at the same weight.. i had to have a gall bladder sono, an egd, and bunches of other random tests. when all my paperwork was submitted my insurance company would not make a decision unless i lost 13 pounds.. I did it in under two weeks.. got approved 2 days later and had surgery 1 week later=) .. Btw the 6months flyyyyyyyy byy!! literally!! Good Luck!! =)

Congrats!! I too was banded on March 28th.. Around 4:15pm. The gas pains were the worst!.. Esp the shoulder pain! I'm starting to feel like my old self again.. actually slept comfortably last night! Yayyy for us!! =)

Glad your feeling better! =) @ snielsen.. It's not an easy process by any means at all.. The first three days you'll just keep asking yourself what did I.do to myself.. It does get better.. I'm only 5 days post op and feeling so much better.. I can actually get out of bed on my own! As With any surgery the pain is there.. Good luck!! =)

I just had that fixed when I had my lapband done Wednesday.. I didnt have any symptoms or anything either.. they found it when they did my EGD. Be prepared your chest hurts afterwards.. almost like its hard to breath. but you'll def notice a difference afterwards. Good-Luck!! =) =)

I'm 4 days post op today and I can't imagine going back after 1 week.. Not that it's horrible.. But uncomfortable.. I'd take 2 Weeks..

Yah yesterday I felt really dehydrated.. I just upped my liquids even though i didnt want more.. but i refuse to get sick from dehydration.. Hows your throat?.. Mine is so sore and my tongue looks disgusting! lol Hope your feeling better =)

Finally after eight very long months my surgery day came and left. Everything went great.. Had a hiatl (sp) hernia fixed as well.. The only thing I really have to complain about is the shoulder pain.. But.. Ten hours in and I'm so glad I did this!! Looking forward to a healthier me!!

Oh man lucky you. I have been so uncomfortable. 3Am and I'm walking around my house because my back hurts from laying in the same spot. Any shoulder soreness? .. I just keep telling myself in a couple days.. Itll be gone! lol .. guess i shoulda read the previous post haha...

I'm looking forwardto this wonderful journey and a healthier lifestyle <3 @dhales they fixed it first then did the band in the same surgery through all of the small incisions. its hard for me to get deep breaths because my diaphgram hurts from it being repaired.. It's all worth it though. G luck!

So.. I had my pre op appointment today.. I have to lose ten more pounds before my insurance will approve it.. Talk about lighting a fire under my butt lol.. But I was pretty offended to find out my insurance company said.. "she's still young.. Look at her age..this is a little drastic don't you think" okay first of all I'm 23 I may be young but my weight had been a problem my whole life.. In the second grade I weighed 120lbs for peeps sakes.. once my Bariatric.cordinator told her that boy didthe tune change lol Anyone else have any bad comments from there insurance company? ..

I feel your pain!! On day 9.. surgery is Wednesday.. Lol I'm sorry but in my opinion it doesn't get better! Lol the only thing that makes me feel better is stepping on the scale.. and its all worth it <3 Try Carnation Breakfast Essentials the No Sugar Added one mixed with 1 cup ff milk.. Its really good & has 13Protein in it... I usually mix a half a scoop of protein powder with a half packet of the Vanilla nsa carnation and 1 cup of milk.. it beats plain protein shakes. Goooood Luck=) !!

My 6th appointment with my pcp was Feb 27th.. My bariatric coordinator submitted all of my information, tests, and everything else.. I didn't loose any weight during the six months, but I didn't gain either.. My Insurance company is requiring me to lose 13 pounds which is 5% of my weight before they will approve my surgery..(My surgery is scheduled March 28th) I started eating extremely good and lost ten pounds in one week.. I only have three more lbs to go before this Monday.. I also have excellence Blue Cross Blue Shield (BTW my doctor kept telling me the same thing about not having to lose weight.. he would say oh that's the point.. showing them you cant lose weight.. apparently my insurance company doesn't agree) Good Luck!!

Haha.. Yah I have to lose eleven pounds in two Weeks.. for them to approve it and for me to be able to keep my original surgery date.. Which is March 28th.. That's the only thing theyre waiting for lol.. _good luck_We can do it!! =)

Bb banded.. Did you get approved or are you still fighting with them?

Right?.. I couldn't imagine what I would look like if I continued at this weight and had kids.. Then my insurance company would have some serious problems.. Not to mention I've tried every diet in the book.. I've had a psych eval too.. Which I didn't understand.. They asked me about my parents.. Lol what do my parents have to do with me having lap band surgery.. The insurance company is just wasting all this money covering all of these non sense appointments lol

I am feeling the same way I just had my last doctors appointment yesterday.. and cant help but stress out about my insurance company approving my surgery.. i went up and down through the whole six months.. would lose one pound.. gain two lose 1 gain two lose 5.. and ended up gaining three back.. I really dont have any health problems either besides being overweight forever.. bmi of 43.. but Im borderlined for diabetes.. but i have done everything.. never missed any appointments.. had a bunch of tests psych eval went to a biatric glass and met with my nutritionist multiple times.. Im sure will be okay just cant wait to have that pressure off my shoulders!! Good Luck =)
