Thanks Guys! I am feeling better, I woke up feeling "normal" and then ate mushies all day today and so far feeling great, I think I just had something stuck above the band like my Nurse thought...Guess I had my first not so pleasant Lap Band experience but I have learned from it! You live and learn right?

I have been banded a little over 6 weeks, received my first fill on Monday of 3cc in my 10cc band, I was told to do liquids the rest of the day on Monday and Tues and that I could eat mushies for dinner on Tues night. Well I woke up this morning and my stomach felt like it was almost kinked and that when I stretched out it was painful, I called my surgeons office and spoke to a nurse and she said to go back to liquids (I already figured that much) and that I probably didn't chew good enough, or took to big of a bite and that now that food was sitting on top of my band and having a harder time digesting, she recommended lots of hot liquid, I drank tea all day and I feel 95% better and dont plan on starting mushies tomorrow unless I feel back to normal and then I will take it super easy! My question is has anyone ever felt this before, its really a strange sensation to explain but hopefully I am not the only one who has experienced this.

I am a tricare patient and just like everyone else said, No they dont, I looked into it prior to getting my band!

I bought the brownie today, I heard it was good one! Hopefully I feel the same!

I just bought some quest bars today, even though it will be a couple more weeks till i can eat them, but they have 20g of protien and like 19g of fiber! HOLY MOLY I will spend my calories on them if I can get all this in one little bar! I bought the banana muffin, and a chocolate brownie one, i have heard from a few people that these are the best flavors

So what does satisfied feel like?

When people say take papaya enzymes, do they mean the pill, cuz that is all I can find is pills?

LOL Jami! Its all good, we need to be aware of what to look for, and I was always worried about getting a keloid on my nose peircing (back in the day)

You wanna message me your email and I will send it! And I dont do so hot with needles either, I am a baby, and yes everyone says it doesnt hurt and then you get those other cases where they talk about how horrible it was...I am terrified of being "one of those cases"

Way to freak us out Jami.... Yes I am tired of soup too, but I was excited to eat this tonight! Yes, I never thought I would be so excited to eat mushy food! And I love refried Beans, I really love mexican!! And it is the little things, I just told a girlfriend the same things today!! The soup is pretty amazing, if you want the recipe I will send it to you! I am on soft/mushy's for 2 weeks starting Monday, and I just found out my first fill is March 25th...I am scared to death for the fill....lol

You mean what have I been DRINKING lol! MMM Broth (my husband makes an amazing hungarian mushroom soup that is mostly broth, so thats what I am having now, tea, juice, yogurt, I tried cream of wheat (ewwwwwww), G2,popcicles I am trying to get some protein shakes its, I am just not a fan though! Fiber helps you stay full, its kind of crazy I really thought I knew a lot about nutrition but apparently not!

I have lost 9 lbs....yes my Dr. is huge about protein and FIBER!! He preaches FIBER!! I am not really afraid to eat, I just dont know when I am eating to much, I am on full liquids now and will switch to mushies/soft foods next Monday and I am soo looking forward to eating food, also scared too but more excited! Mush sounds almost gourmet to me now...because yes I am HUNGRY!

Hey!! Its exciting to have a band-sister!! Yesterday and today, I feel "normal", it was a rough 4 days after surgery, I didn't get out of bed except to walk, I slept so much!! I actually went out by myself today (big step), I know being super tired all to well, I wish that part would fade away quickly!

Hey Kristen, I was banded the same day as you , and I am pretty sure this is normal, because mine are the same way and also itchy!! My surgeon removed the glue from them yesterday, so he saw them and said they looked great!

I was banded the same day as u! I am doing a clear liquid diet this first week as well, I can sip just fine, sometimes I feel like my drinks are to big, but there is definatly a different feeling of what "full" or satisfied is for me and right now it doesn't take a whole lot to do it. Don't worry about protien yet, just worries about staying hydrated is what the Dr told me....hope ur doing okay!

I had to stay overnight as a requirment of my insurance.

I was banded on Monday and had also found out post-op that I had a hiatal hernia that the my surgeon repaired! I feel like the hernia repair is the most painful part of the surgery. I have been walking as much as possible even though I get super tired QUICK. Have you been using a heating pad at all, I found this helped me a lot! I hope you figure out something to help you along the way!!

Changingmylife... This is so normal, even my surgeon said "honey if u weren't scared, I would be worried about you" I had my surgery on Monday, I have been going through the process of getting this done for what seems like forever and having the day and it getting closer and closer I began to panic big time, so many worries about surgery, the pain, the healing process and then the journey afterwards! Just know everyone is different in all those aspects too, just have a good support system wether it be your family, significant other or best friend, even through here to help u get through the rough patches. I had to drive an hr and a half at 4 in the morning for surgery day, wanted to jump out the car most of the way and cry the other, but I got through it and so will you! Have faith in yourself and remember this is for you!

Hi guys, surgery went okay and I am home! I apparently had a hiatal hernia that they repaired as well, I feel like I am more sore from that than anything, gas pains haven't been to bad at all praying it stays this way, still definalty sore and weak and tired though! Hope ur doing well Pat!
