The port still needs to be within a few inches in any direction, of the large incision. If you are looking to find yours, I'd start feeling around the perimeter of that incision, and working your way out.

The large incision is used to place the port as well. The surgeon gets to pick where they place the port, so it can be in different locations on different people.

    April Bandsters!

When I'm not in pain, I can also burp easily.
  4. I know I am supposed to sip slowly at my Water. I've been able to take larger drinks easily for the last couple days. Well, I think I've drank too much now. My tummy feels really full, and I can feel the water moving around. Anyone know how long this will last? I promise to slow down next time!

    Vertical Sleeve...

I know that for people with a BMI of over about 55 or so, they recommend the VGS over the band.

I wish they shipped to Canada
  8. How long have you been on the pre-op diet? Have you been drinking salty things? Maybe try and drink as much water as possible over the weekend, and see if you can weigh less on Monday.

    April Bandsters!

I'm 8 days out, and I'm feeling pretty good today. I have a dinner party to attend tonight, so I'm looking forward to getting out. I'm not totally sure what I am going to eat though, but I'll figure something out.

Lost 150 Lbs Then Got 50 Back

I would also recommend you visit your surgeon, and see what they advise.
  11. I made myself one package of instant oatmeal, and I couldn't finish it. It was a weird feeling, but I wouldn't say sad, as much as disappointment.

Colorado Springs-Fell Off The Band Wagon

I too have battled with depression, and I know the relief that comes with the right medication. I wish you all the luck. Good job at joining the support group, hopefully that helps you.

    April Bandsters!

Sounds like you might need some more pain meds. Also, I only did water for the first 24 hours, then just clear liquids.

    I Have Never Found Restriction!!!

If you are truly getting hungry in between meals, maybe you need more fill?

    Filling Band After Six Years

I would also suggest maybe switching pill time to the evenings. Good luck!

    April Bandsters!

I was self-pay. Insurance had nothing to do with mine.

    Help!!

Maybe try icing it for a bit, and take some Tylenol, and see how it feels tomorrow.

    I Have Never Found Restriction!!!

Also, my surgeon says that we are supposed to be looking for satisfaction, not restriction. Maybe you are looking for the wrong thing?

    Help!!

Maybe the up and down motion bothers the port?

    I Have Never Found Restriction!!!

Do you have a dietary plan to follow, from a nutritionist or dietician?

    April Bandsters!

I wound up back at the hospital for different pain meds. I am day 8 today, and I think I'm finally done with the narcotic meds.

Also, don't chug anything. Slow and small sips for everything.
