  1. I don't know what is going on I was banded early April of this year. I exercise almost everyday I am mindful of the foods that I put in my mouth and I have not lost any weight. I am becoming very upset. I lost 15 pounds in ten days on my pre-op liquid diet and I have not lost anything since this surgery. I just want to know is anyone having or had this problem. I need advice as to what to do to see results. I have 6.5cc fill and the band holds 10 cc's.

This is not common.. What are you eating? Are you exercising I was banded on March 21st this year and just had my second fill Thursday at 6.9 in 10cc are you too tight? I've only lost about 30 pounds but I lost a lot of inches maybe your body is in shock... Just make sure you are getting your Protein in. Best of luck to you!!!

  2. It will get better.. When I'm at the gym or eating all I think of is a slimmer and healthier me.. I don't think about the food and don't want to et te wrong things because I refuse to overdo it and go to the ER. It's a slow process but it will be worthwhile.

  3. Hello fellow banders... I am almost 2 months out and is feeling great. I've been reading that many are getting depressed because they are not losing... My advice it to be patient it seems like it just go away over night. I've went from an 18 to 14 I've lost a ton of inches and just 30 pounds I'm not worried about the pounds as long as I'm losing inches and Health is great. I realize that the weight it slower and I am happy with that. At my job many thought that I was out having my gall bladder removed.. Well my boss saw me walking in the hall and he said "holy **** you have lost a lot of weight" I laughed and said thank you then he proceed to say Lisa did you really have your gall bladder removed or something else I laughed it off and said yes I did.. So my advice is to be patient take it easy follow the rules and you will be happy because I am and I'm loving the band.. Cheers

  4. Is anyone else here scared of the scale. I was weighing in once a week now I'm too scared to get on the scale. I eat below 1200 cal and workout daily' date=' use a pedometer to see how well i'm doing, burn around 300-500 cal day. This is so frustrating with dieting the scale hardly move so guess I'm still in that frame of mind or could it be that I'm just scared I want lose any weight? this is my biggest nightmare. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?[/quote']

Hey... I too feel this way but I also remember what Dr. Reilly told me... Not to get depressed and caught up on losing pounds.. I'm doing the same thing and I have lost many inches I could now fit in 14 was a 18 at surgery.

  5. I was curious what everyone's full signal is? I don't know if this is mine' date=' but my upper back starts hurting like crazy after I eat (and other times throughout the day as well). It may be me tugging on items everyday as towhy my back hurts but I don't know know my full signal. I don't hiccup or burp.[/quote']

I thought I was the only one... But it pulls in my back extra harder when I'm hungry.

  6. I am 9 days op and I can eat anything without vomiting. Its like I didn't even have surgery' date=' is anyone else the same. I don't think that's a good thing.[/quote']

Hi mwest1 I was told if you are vomiting that you are overeating. I haven't vomit not once I'm too scary...lol we have to remember the band is a tool My doctor explained to me that you can get anything down the band but it's up to me to make the rigt choices.

  7. I had my surgery yesterday morning and was discharged shortly after leaving the recovery room. I made myself pee so they would let me go home. As soon as i got home the pain started. Not just gas' date=' but the incisions are rue worst. Any ideas on how to get the incisions to stop hurting this bad?[/quote']

Too be honest with you I took the liquid medicine Lortab every 4 hours and that's how I got my incisions to stop hurting. As far as the gas I used the gas x strips.

  8. Good evening.... I was banded on the 21st of March and the day after I was asking myself what have I gotten my self into...lol I am so happy that I made the decision to go though with it. Everyday is a better day. I love my band I am 13 days post op and has lost 15 pounds so excited. I'm finally back at work.. My first day was horrible but as the days went by things are better. I had a coworker tell me today that I am getting thinner ( they think I was out having my gallbladder removed) I really can tell in my face and neck. Good luck to everyone just wanted to share that information.

  9. I am on day two of recovery' date=' not feeling hungry at all, forcing myself to take in liquids. I have to say the shoulder pain is the most annoying of all. Although my incision areas are still a little tender. I try and go for 1 walk a day around the corner. How long did this shoulder pain last for some of you. I didn't take any pain med today, just trying to bare it[/quote']

Hi Alerker I am on day one of recovery and I'm not in pain at all. I've walked and took gas-x so the gas has sustained. I am not hungry at all and have to make myself eat. Yesterday before surgery I was 235 I stepped on the scale today I'm 225 is that normal.

  10. Hello everyone... The count down is near 3 days way and I am excited. I'm having a slight problem, since time is approaching my significant other is really giving me signals. It's like he is being insecure asking me will I leave him. My point of it all is to ask is anyone having the same issues and how are you dealing with it.

    Thanks in advance...
