Nurseamy's tummy tuck/Lipo/Mastopexy
nurseamy replied to nurseamy's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I did not have the luxury of the pain pump but I did take 2valium and 2percocet round the clock!Needless to say I was not in much pain unless i needed to get up to move positions. It felt more like I had been beaten with a baseball bat! I can truley say that I think Lap-band hurt worse because of the gas pains. I still have my 2 drains and they have not given me a bit of trouble.Just the back ,i felt way to good yesterday and even drove to the bank.Needless to say I learned my lesson!I am fixing to take my to vicodin and hopefully have some comfortable sleep:tongue_smilie:I got your PM and will call when I get to go up there without having to hurry back to get kids from school! I do not remember seeing pre or post op pictures of you?????Take care! -

Good Luck tomorrow. After they started my IV they gave me my happy med (Versed) and I danced with my Dr to the OR.It was quiet comical!! My prayers will be with you ,it will be over before you know it. -

I forgot you were just a few days ahead of me.I am still not standing up straight.I had my sister take a backside picture and you can tell how hunched I still am.my Doctor does not want me to stand up straight for 2weeks. How are you feeling?? My incisions just burn but I am up and walking and doing too much at this point.Drives me nuts to just sit here.I go back on the 6th for my stiches to be removed.I am hoping my drains can come out before then.Hope you are doing well....~Amy~ -

nurseamy replied to nurseamy's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Actually they removed 40cc out of each implant and lifted them.I had implants that were a DD that were saggy from nursing kiddos.I think they will end up a large C cup.I LOVE them right now!!!.My bellybutton has stiches inside. My Doctors trademark is is "great " bellybuttons.I had seen so many pictures of awful bellybutton scars I had got myself freaked out before he reassured me . -

Actually my lipo does not hurt at all,he injects lidocaine when he lipos so they are still numb.My boobs and MR is what hurts the worse. It is just very hard to move and get comfortable with the lack of using my stomach or arm muscles.I am trying to take my meds round the clock. As long as I have someone to help with the kids, why hurt:huh2: -

LOL! That was my bigest fear was dying on the table so needles to say I was very happy when I was "Alive".My surgery took almost 6hrs.He also took 2lbs of fat off of each thigh.Of coarse my scales are saying I am heavier than before I went under.I knew better but was just curious. Now it is just sit and wait for the swelling to go down! -
Dr. Todd Adam, Clear Lake Area (Texas)
nurseamy replied to kacee's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Kacee,I will PM you when I am not so drugged! LOL But he was the best.He sat next to me in the OR and held my hand until I fell asleep. He also sent two of his nurses with me and my husband to our hotel room to get settled in.He also came and saw me at my hotel room Sat so we would not have to stay till Monday. He is truly a sweetheart. As far as his work goes, only time will tell but he was WONDERFUL otherwise....oh and he brought a shot of Demerol/Phenergran to give me Sat and he was going to help pack our car and get me in if we deciced to leave SAt.I wish all Doctors were this kind!!!! -

I have a horrible sweet tooth and my brain is ALWAYS telling me I need something sweet, especially around that time of the month.I simply can't keep anything sweet in the house.I buy fruit bars/oatmeal pies..snacks that I do not like for the kids.I eat popcorn alot when I am craving a snack.......I did have a box of chocolate covered almonds earlier:mad:(my kids are selling them) My excuse...is't there tons of protein in Almonds:wink2: It a constant battle in my brain!!!!

protruding port.... has any one had it repositioned?
nurseamy replied to icecream's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
My plastic surgeon is going to reposition mine.It only sticks out when I am lying flat.I think he does this with most of his lap band tummy tucks?
