Making it to goal and then a big let down.

I think you're doing great!! I mean, look how far you've come!! You had a very small gain and you're regaining control over the situation. That's something to be proud of!
  2. If you're targeting this thread at one person rather than dealing with them privately like an adult, doesn't that make you a hypocrite?

Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!

  4. Sometimes the truth isn't pleasant, but just because you may not like the truth doesn't make it any less true nor does it make it mean. There are some of us who are honest and don't coddle. Again, that isn't mean. Honesty simply isn't always "nice".

Thinking about a revision to the bypass

If you're having right side pain after eating you really need to have your gallbladder checked out. Are you hungry between meals? The band isn't meant to make you feel "full", in fact if you're eating until you feel full you're likely over eating. Have a look at the link on my signature it'll help a lot. Best wishes.

Carb Cycling- An Experiment Gone Right!

No I think you did great and made great food choices. It won't hinder it all! I'm like you, high carb days are much easier for me. I struggle to even get in enough calories on low carb days.

Lap Band workec for me but so wortiec

If you lost all your weight and have no problems, why would you question your choice? The majority of band problems are patient failures not band failures. Statistically speaking, only 5% of band patients have serious complications by no fault of their own. Here's the study: http://www.futurity.org/health-medicine/weight-stays-off-long-after-lap-band-surgery/

I am determine to win this battle!!!

It doesn't matter how fast or slow you're losing, all that matters is the fact you are losing.

What to eat after lap-band surgery

Good information but it's important to stress to follow your own doctor's rules. They all differ and we need to follow our own surgeon's guidelines, especially during the post op healing phase. Also, some do allow drinking while eating. And many don't have issue with breads, rice, and Pasta nor are they expected to limit it.

    Lean Cuisine?

It depends on the meal, you'll have to look at the serving size. They're high in sodium so I don't eat them all the time, but I do like them for quick easy meals.

    Pills ?

Ask your doctor. Only he can answer that.

    Coffee (not decaf)??

I agree with the others- let me have my dang coffee. I quit smoking 2 years ago, I don't eat junk food anymore, and I don't have my beloved soda anymore. ...I'm drinking my coffee!

    Carbonated drinks/alcoholic beverages

When I was in the hospital having my Lap Band surgery, my roommate was in having her band replaced. Her band not only slipped but her stomach prolapsed up through her band- and it was caused by her drinking soda. She also regained 40 pounds. You couldn't pay me to drink carbonation since being banded, I don't ever want to go through what that woman did. It's just not worth the risk. Best wishes.
  16. 4 pounds of water weight gone. Only 24 more to go. C'mon Lasix!

    Persistent pouch dilation

You don't have to get a big unfill. Even an amount as small as .1cc can make the difference between too tight and just right. Don't get stuck on numbers because how much that's in your band is completely irrelevant- all that matters is how you feel. Unfortunately, I'd say no, you can't leave it like this. If you keep having pouch dilation from a band too tight it could progress to a full blown slip.

    Pre-op diet? What is allowed?

You have to ask your doctor because they all vary greatly.

    stuck and miserable

If you've been vomiting for 4 hours and can't even keep liquids down, I'd go to the ER.

Thinking about a revision to the bypass

You've lost 60 pounds, how is that anything but great? What are the problems you're having?

    Fallen off wagon

It sounds like you are way too tight. Contrary to popular belief tighter isn't better. It can lead to both weight gain and slips. You are clearly exhibiting "soft calorie" syndrome because you're too tight. Please read this article, it will help considerably: http://www.lapbandtalk.com/page/index.html/_/support/post-op-support/tighter-isnt-always-better-r118
  23. Just got back from my doctor. I'm now up 28 pounds of water weight in my legs. He put me on Lasix so I'm praying this starts helping fast.

    Bread

I would agree with this. Any processed breads or pastas that are "white", "bleached", or "enriched" have almost no nutritional value. I try to stick to whole grain Pasta and bread as well as brown rice.
