    Husband Is So Supportive, But.....

I would be gently and respectfully honest. Tell him you are so grateful for all his support, but it's really crucial you have healthy foods so you're not forced to eat things that will hinder your weight loss journey. I would even go one step further and suggest buying double the healthy Snacks and omitting his unhealthy snacks being as he seems to like yours anyway.
  3. The bad thing about being a night owl is, I always end up with a growling tummy and hungry by midnight. But I won't eat after 8pm so per usual, I'm toughing it out 'til morning.

When Will I Be A Candidate For Tummy Tuck?

I think it depends on how bad your tummy is. Mine is horrid. I mean, really really bad. It was already bad due to 3 other abdominal surgies before I started losing weight, now it's simply unreal. Because mine is so severe, my surgeon is talking about doing a TT before I'm done losing.

    Changes After Losing 50 Pounds?!

Congratulations! I've noticed tons of changes Not only does my stomach no longer touch the steering wheel of the car, but I had to move the seat up and the steering wheel down. I used to not be able to even walk to the entrance of a store, now I can walk the entire zoo. I've gone from a size 7x to a 2x (so far). My old clothes are ginormous on me. I'm told I look much younger now. I feel better than I have in many years One downside- I look like a Shar Pei puppy when naked. Way too much extra skin! Ugh! I'm hoping to have a tummy tuck this winter.

    Too Tight Or Inflamed?

It's better to have unfill than to be too tight. Vomiting is never normal with the band and it is a big cause of slips. If you're taking tiny bites, chewing until it's mush, and still vomiting then you are too tight.

    Pains?!

Sounds like gas pains. Walk as much as you can to help it work out faster and a heating pad might help with any discomfort.

    Constant Nausea And Burning Sensation

It not normal for the band, no. If it's an upper GI bug, maybe. However I would insist on barium swallow to check the band, just to be sure..

    Seriously Need Help! Lapband Failure

My heart goes out to you because it's obvious you're really trying. My first thought is that you're too tight. You should not be vomiting, vomiting leads to slips, and your ability to eat shouldn't be so limited. A lot of people are misinformed about what the band is supposed to do. It is not supposed to make you feel stuffed full. Many, many people walk around with bands too tight by looking for that full feeling and many end up with slips because of it. The band is supposed to make you feel satisfied with less food for longer periods of time. Satisfied meaning no longer hungry. If I were in your shoes, the first thing I'd do is have some Fluid removed. The last thing you need is a slip from being too tight. Then, start concentrating on hunger not a feeling of fullness. You want to be at point in your band where you are satisfied with a cup or less of food for 4-5 hours. I'd also start logging your caloric intake. Most people who don't count calories are shocked at how much they're actually consuming when they do start counting. Hopefully by getting an unfill you'll be able to eat a greater variety of healthy food so that will help, too. Good luck!

    No Success...?

Very wise advice here! I agree with the others completely. I would strongly suggest tracking everything you eat for a week or two then taking your food log to a nutritionist that specializes in bariatric patients. Most people who don't journal what they eat are shocked at how much they're actually consuming once they do start logging. By taking your logs to a nutritionist they can help you set up guidelines for successful weight loss that are realistic for your life. I attribute my success so far to two things- sticking to the guidelines my nutritionist gave me and logging everything I eat since the day I got home from the hospital on the Lost It! app for android. Best wishes to you!

Will Someone Please Show Me The Way To Sucess??

Like Holly Dolly, for me tracking food is key. I track my calories as well as my nutrients. I also make sure my meals never equal more than 1 cup total. If you haven't already, I would highly suggest meeting with a nutritionist. I follow the guidelines mine set for me and I know that is a huge part of why I've lost the weight I have.

Six Days Post Op With Complications

I was on Clear liquids for the first 2 weeks after surgery. It goes to show how greatly different surgeon's post op diet plans are. Mine was super strict. Stick with whatever they give you for food. You have issues to contend with beyond your healing tummy that you don't need to risk messing with. You'll be home and progressing on your post op diet very soon I'm sure. I hope you feel better soon. P.S.- do you have asthma by chance? sleep apenea? or smoke? 6 days seems like a long hospital stay. I was just curious if there was a pre-existing condition at play.
  17. Can you go back to original surgeon for fills? Btw, none of my fills have been with floro and I've never had a problem.

Tight Lap Band ~ Am Vs Pm (?)

Mine is tons tighter in the mornings. I have a Protein shake for Breakfast every morning because I'm simply too tight and not hungry enough for actual food. Interestingly, if I take a nap during the day, when I get up it's really tight all over again. In stark contrast, at night I could the entire fridge if I wanted to. There's a huge difference in my band tightness from morning to evening.

If all the sudden you're barely even able to keep liquids down, you need to get into your surgeon and checked for a slip.

    Awesome "munchie" Snack

@smalltown, I got these at Walmart today, they had other flavors too. @DRCS, I keep little baggies of stuff like pistachios and now these veggie straws around. I find if they're pre-measured then I don't accidentally over-eat.

Why After 2 Weeks Do I Get Restriction?

Your profile is blank, when did you have surgery? Have been losing since surgery? How long ago was the last fill? When was the last unfill? How much is currently in your band?
