Flame Free Friday Confessions!
fell4falls replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cheetos earlier in the week. And taste tests of a pie I made for a family event this weekend. -
I have been doing so well, and then TOM came around along with the cravings...and I caved. I was craving something salty and crunchy...and I had some (probably more than I should have) cheetos. I am disgusted with myself for giving in!!

Not A Rude Waiter, But A Rude Patron.
fell4falls replied to minaleigh's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I went out to eat with my husband, my mother, and our kids on Friday night. I ordered shrimp cocktail and broiled tilapia. I knew I wasn't going to be able to eat it all and was going to bring moat of it hone with me for later or the next day. When I asked for a to go box, the waitress asked me if I was on a diet or something. I happily told her about my surgery, to which she responded, "well, good luck with THAT." It struck me as rude at that moment, but I just let it go. Some people aren't familiar with how it feels to struggle with their weight, I guess. -
Disappointed In Myself, But Learned A Lesson.
fell4falls posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on Jan 3, so I am almost 2 months out. Things have been going well, I am down 31 lbs. This weekend, I made a cake for my husband and my kids...however, I couldn't seem to stay out of it. A little nibble here, a little nibble there...next thing I know, I am vomiting and shaky and just feeling all around bad. I know it was the sugar that did it to me. I am disappointed in myself because I have been religious with following my diet. The lesson? I just can't have trigger foods in the house, period. -

4 Weeks Out And No Aunt Flo...(Questions For The Ladies)
fell4falls posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Has anyone had period trouble after surgery (late or skipped)? There is no way I am preggo, so that's not a concern. I just haven't had a period since before surgery and was wondering if this is common? I am well past my usual schedule, which is why I am concerned. -

Is It The Infamous 3 Week Stall Or Is It 3 Weeks Of Stalling?
fell4falls replied to happy1957's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 4 weeks today and have been stalled for over a week. I am depressed, frustrated, worried, and anxious. I, too, had a 2 lb gain and loss. -
4 Weeks Out Today...real Food...unhappy Sleeve!
fell4falls posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well, I am exactly 4 weeks out today and have been cleared for real food. So, I thought I would make some mini meatballs from turkey sausage...apparently my sleeve didn't care for them. I got two down and then got sick! So, any ideas on what to eat? -
I was sleeved on January 3. Up until the past week,I have loved my sleeve. However, for the past week I have been stalled. My starting weight was 263. I have been stuck at 242 for a week! Today, I am supposed to start on regular foods, but I am so worried that it will either prolong my stall or worse, make the scale go up! I know I am new to this, so I am open to any and all advice!

3 Weeks Later.. My Thoughts
fell4falls replied to mouse trap's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I, too, am at my third week, and your experience sounds a lot like mine. I had no problems after surgery, or any since. I have no problems with liquids or proteins, either. I am a little discouraged today, because this morning the scale was up 2 lbs from my last weigh in. However, I know that I am dangerously close to that time of the month, so I am hoping that the 2 lbs is simply water retention. -

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum, but wanted to say hi. I am hoping for some support as i go through this exciting journey! I am scheduled for surgery on January 3, 2012 (new year, new me kind of thing!). I am excited, nervous, etc. Any advice is definitely appreciated!!

My surgery is scheduled for January 3, and I am definitely feeling the pre-op blues. It's like as soon as I got scheduled, I became hyperaware of my size. I am glad that I am not alone in this feeling.
