Yeah, bile is the first thing that came to mind. If it continues, I would call the doctor. Good luck! -
2 Days Away And Im Scared Crapless!
Vance_ replied to Anewlifeforme23's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What Kathy said. ^^^^ You will do great! And don't be scared crapless. Constipation is not good. -
Yeah, sounds like the 2 week stall. Almost all of us hit it. Most stalls last a week to 10 days, but could go longer. Don't fret. Perfectly normal. Just keep doing what you need to do and it will start back up. Good luck!

Well, no change from last week. 246.5. Oh well...better than gaining! Hope all is well!

Stall Or Plateau Worries?
Vance_ replied to Cobrargc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
2 reasons why some people panic over stalls. 1) They just had major surgery that transformed their life forever. When they hit a stall, they wonder if it worked and WTH did they just do?! It's an uneasy, completely normal and natural reaction. 2) Many people want immediate results because we are, by nature, impatient. Nothing wrong with either of those two reactions. Most people just need to be educated. The stall is going to happen. Our bodies, for some reason, just have to do it. I never mind because I know that although the scale isn't moving, I am losing inches. Just know that everyone is different and most everyone have these very real feelings. You don't so that is good for you! BTW...Congrats! Looks like you are doing very well! -
Yep! He fixed mine at the same time!

Do You Ever Forget.....
Vance_ replied to favoredone's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Three things that I have done (on several occasions) when I have forgotten: 1) Take a big bite of something and swallow it without chewing it real good. Hurts! 2) Drink something while I am eating. Hurts! 3) Often times I don't plan before I eat. I allow myself to get thirsty, and then it is time to eat. I have to wait to drink something for 30 minutes after I have eaten. Then I am REALLY thirsty and that is never good. We live and learn. -
Praying for your dad and you during this difficult time. Glad your sleeve is working on your emotional eating.

I Think I Finally Settled On My Maintence Weight...was That Hard For Anyone Else?
Vance_ replied to twoboysandagirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow! Congrats on reaching your goal! What an inspiration! A lot of hard work! I can't wait until I am there. I would certainly relax and enjoy all of your hard work, but being careful not to slip back into the old eating habits. You have done great and it is time to reward yourself!! -
Yeah, I agree with Annette. What I do is take a water bottle with me pretty much everywhere I go and I take small drinks often, even when I am not thirsty. Our goal is not to get thirsty. It will get easier though. Good luck!

Is A Two Week Stall Normal?
Vance_ replied to smileygirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Almost every one of us hit the two week stall. Weird how our body works. Rest assured though, if you are following your Dr's orders (protein and water), you will continue to lose inches even though you aren't seeing it ont he scale. You will will start losing lbs in no time at all. Good luck!! -
Monday Funday Question Of The Day!
Vance_ replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think for me it's just the desire and ability to do things again. I am currently working on building a pavilion in our backyard. This is something I physically would not have been able to do 6 months ago. A couple of weeks ago, I worked on my car. Again, something that my weight would not allow me to do just a few short months ago. I promised my kids that I will take them to Six Flags this summer after I hit 240 (just 4 lbs away!!!) and I will be able to ride the rides!!! My life has changed for the better tremendously! TGFTS!!! -
Welcome and congrats, Star, on your decision to be sleeved! It is one of the best decisions I have made in my life and I know you won't regret it! You will do great, I am sure of it. Be sure to keep us posted on how everything goes!
