Hi there. I had my surgery on May 10th. At my post op appointment I was down 20 lbs from the last time I was weighed. I have been sticking to the diet of 1/4 cup of food very three hours, but I haven';t lost anything more. Is this normal? It is very discouraging and I keep wanting to eat chocolate (my old friend). Has anyone else had this problem? I would like to join in the accountability thing too.

Hi. I got banded MayY 10TH. I had a bit of nausea for the first week but now I am fine. Still a bit sore around the incision marks but nothing really bad. Funny thing, after looking at the photos I was given of the band inside after surgery, I was convinced that I had a huge thiing inside me. Duh.. blown up photos I had my post op yesterday and was down 20 lbs in the last 25 days... yeah....

I have an Allergan band. I wasn't asked which one I wanted and expected to have the one with the thin tube connecting the port to to inertube thingy. After looking at the photo of my insides, I have this thing that looks like hard bit of tube like plastic which has Allergan written on it. Anyone else have this? Ijust hope it doesn't show through when the fat goes...
