As of today may 30,2013 I've past my six month anniversary I'm feeling great. I go to the gym and enjoy it for a change. Who would have thought. I wish all good luck and happiness

I've had my operation on November 27and I've lost almost 70 lbs. My new found issue is this. I work for a retail store with a 149 others(not at the same time). Until now I have been kind of invisible to all except the people I work in the office with. Now I have people whom I didn't know knew my name speaking to me,and telling me how good I look. So now I don't know how to deal with it because I've always been here. And it upset me because what was wrong with me before the weight lost. I'm still the same person nothing change but my size.

I was told by my dr that I should eat 6oz each meal. I can't seem to eat more than 4ozs. I measure everything I eat and but sometimes I can't even eat the full 4oz. I'm almost 3 months post . Is this normal. Sometimes I think it's in my mind because I've dropped 14 dress sizes and I don't want to be that person anymore. Please Help

Hi, I had the same doubts that you have. I wanted my stomach back. My mind was hungry and all I did was drink my water and sleep. It's very hard in the beginning but I'm almost in my third month and it get better every day. Just hang in there. -
How long until "real" food?
Sharenlj replied to SleeveBeliever's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You will be able to eat again but you MUST watch your how much you eat. I read all my labels and weight and measure everything that goes in my mouth. I also watch my calories even through you suppose to eat a max of 6oz each meal, I still haven't gotten to that amount. -
Thank you all for the response and I wish you all luck and success

I had a very hard time with water and protein. The only advice I can give you sip sip sip. It gets better. Also try adding no calorie flavors to your water and sugar free syrups to the protein shake

I'm almost three months post surgery and i feel great. When I started this whole process I was 343 lbs. I'm now at 257lbs. I was taking 2 blood pressure medicines and now I'm not taking none. I had a lot of problems but after the second month things got better. I'm still have issues eating because I learning how to eat again. But the good thing is i used to hate taking picture and now I like taking them because I can see the change.

On Nov 27,2012 and its been harder than I expected. My first week after surgery I had difficulty with clear liquids. Water didn't settle well and neither did crystal light. I drank my broth and protein shakes and had to drink children fruit juice. I found that diluted apple juices and decaf mint tea work for me the best. So fast forward to week 2 my dr put me on soft foods which I was so excited. I yet found soft foods that agree with me. Which isn't too good because I'm afraid to try other stuff. I found that low fat cream of chicken and mash potatoes don't upset my new stomach. I tried ground chicken and it don't work. (Chicken used to be my favorite meat). And to get all my fluids I can drink diet snapple cranberry raspberry. Oh my protein shakes started to get to me too so as a tip. Freeze them they are good as a frozen treat and if you add a sugar free flavor to it, it's like getting ice cream.. If you have any tips for me I welcome all information.
