So I'm writing from Florence hospital where I was sleeved by Dr. Kelly yesterday. I won't lie yesterday was a bit rough, I had lots of gas pain and nausea and vomiting. Everybody kept telling me that it would be better tmw and they were right!!! I feel so much better today, gas pains are minimal and after I showered I felt like a new women. Florence hoapital is older but very clean and the staff has been great!! Trish has been awesome and has made sure my guest was well taken care of and always had something to eat. This was the first time that I have ever had surgery and to have it out of the country was a bit scary but well worth it!!

So I'm post op day 2 and I feel Great!! The gas pains are gone. I had my leak test today and the solution was horrible but I passed so thats the most important part. I had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Kelly and Trish and feel I have just made one of the best decisions of my LIFE!!

I had surgery with Dr. Kelly on monday 1/30/2012 and left Florence Hospital today and I'm writing from my hotel room at the Lucerna Hotel. Florence is a older hospital but the staff was great all my needs were met and the staff was very prompt!! Dr Kelly and Trish were great and the Lucerna is a beautiful hotel.

So glad that your doing well. I also had a great surgery with Dr. Kelly on monday as well and my first night with the gas pains was horrible, yesterday was better and today I feel great. I had some broth and some jello and going out for a little shopping later. I feel great and my leak test went well, but the solution tasted horrible!! Glad your doing well lets get this journey started!!

Cool, I'm sure will cross paths. I'm on clear liquids as well and luckily I live alone so I don't have to be tempted by cooking food. I going straight to the hospital tmw and probably won't be at the Lucerna until Wednesday. I've been to New Orleans once and had a great time and stuffed my self from all that good food, I'm flying in from Atlanta. I'm so ready to start my sleeve journey.

I'm right there with you!! I leave for San Deigo tmw and I have surgery with Dr. Kelly on monday. Ready to be on the losers bench!!

I email back and forth with Trish and speak with her when needed with no problem. I think she is very busy and thats probably why you havent heard back from her. Try her again before you decide to switch doctors, or just go through Dr. Kelly directly.

If you Book through Trish, You have to sent a $1500 down payment 2 weeks prior. I use Western Union online and everything went well. The remainder you bring with a cashiers check when you arrive.

I think a lighter me is upset because Dr. Kelly no longer wants to use them and he is booking his own surgeries and still uses Trish as well to book surgeries.

I totally understand how you feel. I am 10 days from surgery and have cheated every day on my pre op diet as well. I have cut down on my eating alot and drink at least 3 shakes a day and I have one mean but it's not necessary a healthy meal. I figured I'm weaning myself off of the large meals that I use to eat. My doctor only really wanted a 1 week preop diet so I'm glad I started 2 weeks in advance so I could kind of wean myself down to the liquid only phase. My last week I think I will have enough will power to stick to the diet completely. I think these last 4 days you need to really stick to the pre op diet and continue with your planned surgery. You Can Do it!!

Any juices, cream soups, jello, protein shakes if you like. Clear liquids 3 days before surgery. I didn't list everything just trying to go from memory.

So I've started my preop diet today and I'm having surgery in just 2 short weeks. I would love to hear from some of Dr. Kelly's patients about there experience. Thanks

I scheduled for surgery with Dr. Kelly on Jan. 30th and I'm very excited and a little nervous at the same time. But I'm confident that Dr. Kelly and his staff will take good care of me.
