does anyone know if you can lift after lap band? i know it might take a couple of weeks but i need to lift at least 50 lbs. at my job...how long before i can do this?

thank you for the advice...i have been going through the process about 6 months now.. i have a reg.therapist she told me she was going to talk to the psychiatrist because since i have seen the shrink i have made progress so my therapist is going to talk to her and tell her what progress i have made and that she thinks i amm ready for surgery....

hi can someone give me advice.. i had my psych eval.done about a month ago.she said she didnt see any reason y im should not have the surgery.. i received a call from her the other day saying that in her report she recommended that i keep seeing nutritionist and go to meetings until im stable w my depression and anxiety... number one told her that i changed my eating habits... that if i do get dwn in the dumps i choose something else besides eating...... i think what i told het she turned it around.. i am on med. for anxiety very low dose though.. i am really upset..she told me that sometimes the medical team will drop you because of this but shes recommending they dont... i also see another therapist besides her for my anxiety.....please help:(:angry

hi is anyone from mass.? i was wondering when your insurance company decides if they are going to cover you or not? i have been to meetings twice to nutritionist.. had my pysc.eval done.... mys insurance comp.said they cover this but when do you get to know..is it when your doctor gives you a surgery date? thanks.....

h i everyone i was wondering if after your surgery if you can still lift things..my job requires me to lift 50 lbs. will this be a problem for me?

hi..iam new to this board this is my second posting..i was just wondering if anyone else felt kind of strange after their pysch.eval.....if it felt like an in vasion of your privacy..... i just have never had anything like that done before..is anyone from ma?

i was wondering what i was going to do about work also my best friend works where i work also i have a very good friend at work so i told her .. from the meetings i been to i am going to take 2 weeks off after surgery because all u can have is protein shakes chix. broth and sugar free jello.... so im going to:) tell my boss i am going to be out because im having minor surgery done... i will return w drs note to return to work..... hope this helps...

i w dont know what state you live in but i live in mass.i am also new..it is along haul.. sfirst you have to see a nutritionist make sure u do what they tell u to do...you have to have a pysch evaluation,gallbladder ultrasound and you have to go to support group meetings after your first appt. with the nutritionist you have to go them again and they want you to start dieting right away..also you can not eat and drink at the same time anymore..that is wha i ahve been through so far

i am still in the process of getting lap band.i was wondering how hard it was to adjust to not eating and drinking at the same time? that is one thing i am worried about.
