I am on a full liquid diet, does every liquid I have count towards my Fluid oz goal? Today is my first full day and I have to say I underestimated how hard it would be to get everything in. I need some help. Even with hot tea and strained Soup today I have only got about 45 oz of liquid and only 20 oz of that was Water.

Thanks so much. I'm trying as hard as I can so I hope I can gradually get in everything that I need. I drank about half of a protein shake made with lactose free milk. I guess tomorrow is a new day and I need to figure out things that will work for me.

I cannot stress how great Dr. Averbach is. He came to check on me personally EVERYDAY and the staff at St. Agnes took very good care of me. I'm home! Actually got home yesterday just have been trying to settle in. I'm on full liquids for two weeks which is ok cuz three or four sips of Soup and I'm full. I'm sipping my Water but it is def the hardest part because it just doesn't feel the same so I am flavoring it with a little lemon or crystal light. Getting in and out of the bed has been a challenge but I have figured out the least painful way. The leak test was disgusting! LOL worst stuff I have ever tasted but I had no leak so that was awesome. They did it Friday morning so I went all day thurs without anything passing my lips but the glycerine lemon swabs saved the day. Still had dragon breath lol but they def helped me a lot. I still have the drain in to monitor things which is a weird feeling but my doctor likes to be very careful, so I will do what I have to. Sorry to ramble! Pain meds are taking effect but if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask! And I will answer as soon as I can.

I have surgery tomorrow morning. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Not really freaking out, but my mind has definantly gone to static mode (thinking of so many things, can't really focus on one thing). Here is to praying that this summer will be the start of the best summers of my life. :wub:

All I have to say is LUNGES my friend LOL..walking lunges are awesome to do both!

Its hell for the first few days, you just have to push through it...once you do that you will be fine. You will get to the point where you will look forward to your protien and lettuce salad and it will become the best thing EVER. LOL I have 2 days to go and I still feel tortured, BUT its gotta be worth the 7 pounds I have lost, right?

Sent on the Feb 1st..denied on the 3rd, appealed on the 15th, approval on the 17th. Pretty quick.

Surgery is on Thursday. I already have an obsessive nature and would check this forum and a few others daily. Now down to the last three days and I am overly obsessing. Refreshing the page every 15 minutes LOL Ive already cleaned my work area THOROUGHLY lol I even have my nook with me (My job is very sedentary, and I have a LOT of free time) and I still can't seem to stay focused. What did you do to keep your mind off things and stop obsessing? I have already organized everything I can possibly organize.

I am at work literally 11 hours a day, which isn't helping my obsessing much cuz I literally do NOTHING most of the day.

Im not gonna complain (mantra)..Im not gonna complain..BUT all I can say is that the next two weeks will be ROUGH. I think while at work it won't be so bad because I stay busy pretty much all day. The weekends tho...I am definantly going to need a hobby..or three. My old hobby was to plan big fat meals to eat and enjoy. I can see a lot of walks in my future LOL :ph34r:

Me too! My surgery is March 8th!! Ahhh, I kinda feel like a chicken with its head cut off..my brain is still trying to understand that its so close LOL I am on a 2 week liquid diet before surgery..blah I will be happy when I can have real food. Or at least when I don't care about real food. LOL

Where I live the first copy of medical records requested are required to be free. They can charge per copy after that by page, but the amount can't be $350. So your right, I have never come across anywhere you have to pay for medical records. It was wrong for me to assume that its the same in other areas of the country, that I can admit. All I can say to those who feel I was bullying. In NO WAY was I bullying I was just trying to understand and the erratic posts didn't really help.

Have you tried drinking a protien shake after a workout? I always get super hungry after exercising and that always works for me. I also drink about a liter and half of water during and after.

I never said I didn't believe her story. I just had a hard time understanding everything. I have surgery next week and she didn't explain what happened. As you can understand, I am scared something like that could happen to me.
