Hey guys, I'm Tiana and I am 18. I live in Northern New Jersey. I work at a pharmacy as a receptionist and I'm in school full time for nursing. On to why I'm here...I decided around my birthday of 2011 to take charge of my health and chose to look into having gastric banding done. I was around 315 when I started out, and went up to 331 resulting in a denial from my insurance, that made me realize that I was looking at the surgery the wrong way. I saw it as a bit of a burden, it made me have my "last meal" many many times. After the denial I kicked into high gear and worked really hard. Hard enough to lose 24 lbs and get approved. I'm typing this during my second pre op diet 5th day.
Why i wanted the surgery is because I lost roller coasters a lot, I'm a thrill seeker in that sense. But one trip to Dorney Park, and a not very strong young girl running a ride, left me unable to enjoy amusement parks anymore. That devistated me, made me crawl up under a rock for a while. Then got out of my slum. My goal for my birthday this summer is to go to six flags and not have a heart attack waiting to find out if I fit the seat belt!
