Yeah, I LOVEEEE chicken!!! I really help I won't have an issue with it once I start getting fills. It's just so annoying when I get that feeling in my throat makes me fear how it'll be when I actually have restriction. And plus it makes me feel all panicky and scared that I may have to burp it up because it can't continue the "journey". Tray I can only imagine how hard that must be for you! That job definitely calls for promptness and rushing. But if you can do it, I must definitely should!

Twin, I think this can qualify as an emergency. U've already tried treating it urself and it's super important to not have it get any worse. I'm sure the doctor won't mind, and if he does, oh well! Lol It needs to be tended to if you feel as badly as you did week one with that particular incision. It's so great that you have those machines at home...Although, a manual treadmill--exhausting!!! Wow! lol But I'm sure it is such an asset so you can just bang it out. Which is my problem...Which like today. Didn't go walking as I thought. My issue is definitely just DOING it. Once I'm in it I bang it out and give it my all. But leaving my cozy home after a long tiring day...Ugh. Gotta change that. Lol Tray thank you so much for the postivity. Chewing has been hard for me but even harder is SLOWING down. Ugh...I always over due it with the first couple of bites and then I get this horrible stuck feeling in my THROAT. That is what I don't understand. Why does it feel so HIGH and it ALWAYS happens with my first bite, no matter how much I feel like I chewed and took my time. Any ideas??? WE GOT THIS!!!

I'm glad ur day went well n ur enjoying ur mushies! Started solids today. Pretty scared since the scale didn't budge on mushies. Am planning on starting my walks today (as I can't do full work-outs till after month). Hoping that will prevent any weight gain from the solids. =\ Good luck with ur workout!!! What exercises are u planning on doing?

I didn't lose any lbs this week. =/

U're very welcome! -
Well, unfortunately mine is still sensitive. =\ It's definitely manageable tho. N I have no issues moving around. I say by my 3rd day post op I started moving without much fear. U have to make sure to drink ur protein. The biggest reason is because it promotes healing. N do try to walk. Super super important! What may also be bothering u is the gas n u might be mistaking it for pain of ur incisions.

I'm starting to feel the itch to start working out too. Although I hate it soooo. I'm hoping to find Zumba classes near by or something to make it more bearable for me. Unfortunately, the only one I've found so far starts at 6pm--the time I get OUT of work. =\ But yeah, I wouldnt push it with any core exercises. At the end of the day, my back is still killing me n my abs actually feel sore. I guess just sitting up for so long causes enough contraction for now. So I can't imagine actual crunches n stuff. Lol That was pretty corny (j/k lol) but that totally sounds like an awesome idea!!!! Especially to go on a trip with people that can hardly as well!! Lmaoooo That's my biggest issue with my summer vacations right now. Lol
-
Lmaooooo...Oh my God! U are tooo funny! But yes, I'm sure it is just water retention. Like u said, ur still on liquids, so it can't be possible for it to be anything else! Lol But u should really try not to weigh urself every day, Twin. As u see, look how it's affected u. U can't let a couple of pounds taint ur success! It is a TEMPORARY gain. Of that I am sure. I do admit I'm VERY scared to look at the scale. If been pretty good on my mushy choices. Trying not to eat anything that may have lots of cals or carbs. N I understand I prolly won't be losing weight as quickly anymore but I too would momentarily freak if I have gained weight. So to deter my insanity as much as possible I've made it a point to only weigh myself on Fridays. Lol

I did something similar...My surgical coordinator n I build a very friendly relationship with all the emails we had to send eachother over paperwork. On Monday when I went in for my post-op I gave the receptionist a thank you card with a Starbucks card in it to give the coordinator for me. I also sent the doctor n staff a thank you card n had an order of edible arrangements delivered to them. The coordinator reached out to me n couldn't have been more happy and appreciative. It made me feel so positive to do that for them as they have already done so much for me. -
I'm sure the working out did help! So glad u had a speedy recovery. How is everything else going? When were u banded?
-
Thank you!!! It felt really great. These numbers we're seeing are impressive! I hope we continue down this path. I know a lot of ppl suddenly start losing this much...N oh my God! I can only imagine how happy u must be for Friday! Girl, u are strong!!! The liquid diet was starting to wear me down! N to hear about all this energy u have. I'm on mushy n I don't think I can even keep up with u! Lol U said ur taking multi-vitamins right? Maybe that my issue... I know!!! That's my problem too!!! The fear of the unknown! N I honestly already feel restriction!!! Of course, (typical me) I forgot to ask the nurse if they had filled the band a lil at time of the surgery, but I really can hardly eat past like 6 or 7 spoonfuls of my mushies. Imagine after the fill. I'm scared!!! =\\\ Lol I mean I know that's the point but I also don't want to be in fear of vomiting or something because I ate more then 4 or 5 spoonfuls. That can't be pleasant.... I know what u mean tho. Even though I don't have the complete energy u have, I do feel lighter on my feet. N the fact that clothes I haven't worn in a while are fitting comfortably is such a GREAT feeling!!!

Post op Day 11!!! Went for my post op appt yesterday. Total loss has been 23 lbs (with pre-op diet)!!! Very happy about that. Also returned to work yesterday. Hasn't been too bad except for really really bad back pain! =\ Scheduled my first fill for March 23. Kinda anxious about that but I know it can only help. -
My incisions felt that way for a bit too. It was a lil scary actual. Thought they might be bursting open. But thank God it would stop n getting up n walking a bit helped. My biggest issue was n still is my BACKKKK!!! It is killing me from sitting all day. Definitely a very uncomfortable feeling. But I'm glad everything else has gone well! N I'm glad ur hunger wasn't out of control. Lol

I started my puréed/mushies yesterday. I had tuna fish salad for lunch (which was, I kid u not, the most delicious thing EVERRR!!! Lol). I could not be happier in the moment! N I was only able to eat about 7 spoonfuls. Idk if it was mental or what, but I REALLY felt satisfied. For dinner I had about 1/2 a cup of mashed potatoes with a boiled egg (that was mashed as well). Very filling also! Today for lunch I had scrambled eggs n am having Farina for dinner. I definitely do feel hungry throughout the day! But once I eat it tends to hold me over for a while. N the Protein shakes are NOT cutting it anymore. I have gotten to the point where I can't have them as a Meal Replacement or even just thoroughout the day to hold me over. I'm gonna have to order those Sunkist shots tonight b/c I doubt I'll be able to get enough protein in depending on the shakes. Twin! I can't believe u aren't able to start mushies yet!!! When can u?! My post op went well. I saw a nurse tho n not the doctor. He said my nausea was prolly because I hadnt ate in so long. Seems to be what it was. I do feel much better now. N I had lost another 3 lbs when I weighed myself at the office! Good luck with ur ck-up, Brittney!

Hey twin! I'm glad you are being so positive! You sound super prepared...Glad you got your stroller. U're definitely going to be the chic sexy mom in town! I, too, will be going back to work tomorrow. Am slightly looking forward to it. Lol. Just hope I'm not going back to a stressful, hectic environment. I also happen to have my post-op appt tomorrow morning before work. Hope everything turns out fine and I can finally progress in the pureed stage. I just can't wait to be at solids. I am soo sooo over these liquids and the such. I also have been feeling nauseous the past two days. Don't know what the heck is going on? It seems I traded the gas for nausea. Anywho, I definitely am glad to have come across you all. I definitely has been great companionship throughout this journey and I know we can all make it! Have a GREAT GREAT day tomorrow all!!! We got this!!!
-
Well, don't u worry about that plateau! As u see ur are doing wonderfully if the doc is saying ur losing TOO much! Can only hope to hear something that terrific!!! Lol I'm glad to see u are so motivated n it has become a lifestyle change for u. There really isn't anything like this forum! It definitely helps me a lot. N I come to it at many points throughout the day. Good job, Tray!
