    Re-Banded

Anythoughts on getting rebanded after a slippage? I had my band removed in 06/08 after losing too much weight, slippage was determined, not schockingly, the weight is coming back, and i am beside my self. Dont know if the insurance will pay though.......

My slippage was determined after it was removed, i guess they could tell by the placement of it. I was SOOOOO sick for like 4 months prior to removal, I lost almost 40 lbs in that time and not in a good way, I was really dehydrated and losing hair, i looked like a coke whore to be frank! I have gained back almost 60 pounds, I am totally devastated and i am getting married in may, so i want it back in and i want it back for life, i am hoping a smaller band will help, I lost all of my weight pretty quick, the last from being ill, but i need help there is no doubt, i need to lose about 40lbs. and i am doing everything i can on my own.

yes i actually have an appointment on 01/30, so i am looking forward to it. Thanks for the reply! I am not sure how he listed my removal, yes i wanted it but it was because the band slipped, we never really discussed rebanding because i was so sick.

    Hi

I am 25, banded 02/08/2007. Feeling great, on full liquids today. Dr. Samir Patel out of EHT, NJ has been the best I could ask for. I am 224.5 today, the is 10 pounds less then the day of surgery! I am glad to be going back to work tomorrow, sick of sitting around. My advice to all the newbies, MOVE!! short walks around the house or even to the mailbox and back. I have found I feel so much better after a walk. Good luck to everyone. Only 74 pounds to go!:clap2:
  5. I won't be eating cjicken broth for quite sometime if I have my way!!I would discuss the Protein shakes again, They are really filling and you need the protein to keep your hair from falling out. I have not heard of one doc so far that does not like the shakes! Keep me posted on that.

    Any Younger Bansters Here?

I am 25! Thankfully, i have had no problems with support. but i would be ok witha piece of pizza right now! It is tough, but you stick it out. In 5 days i lost 12 pounds!!!! I feel good too. i went back to work today. if you can i would take a full week off, I am tired and feel achy. Good luck! Keep in touch.
  7. Hi Tiffaney, I am on full liquids as of yesterday. Banded 02/08/07 also. I like the Amplify Protein powder, it tastes more then good. I agree the isopure sucks. I was not able to get it at GNC, but the local gym carries it, about $3-4 a bottle. When do you see the doc again? did he say anything about full liquids? i would follow up with his office regarding the dietician. It is soooo worth it, I have lost 12 so far, 73 to go!
  8. I am 4 days post -op, down 9.5 pounds. Feeling great! I hate Isopure, which is the Protein drink my doctor has me on. Totally over chicken broth. I am ready for more. Any one else feel this way? Anything I can do about it ? Thanks !
